Frigga’s Plan
After being knocked across the room, Loki was enraged. How dare she? First, her creature had attacked him and tied him to a chair, now she had attacked him. This could not go unpunished. When he had her where he wanted her, firmly in his grasp, part of him enjoyed it that she was afraid. The dark part of his brain relished in it. To hear her plead for his mercy.
Then for the second time that morning, he was blasted across the room, now by the Maximoff girl. It just wasn’t his day. And then it had become interesting. Dar...Alexis had suddenly looked like a demon, with her black eyes and veiny face. He was positive that she was a danger to herself and to others. After the American Hero ordered everyone around, he left with the Widow and the Hawk. The Widow looked at him with a mix of anger and curiosity.
‘Something on your mind?’ He asked with a smirk, knowing it would piss her off. She gave him a pointed look and remained quiet. Clint never talked to him, unless it was absolutely necessary, the man could hold a grudge like no other and communicated silently with the Widow. After that Clint left and Loki was alone with the redhead. He knew she wanted answers. He walked over to one of the sofas and dropped down on it.
‘Okay, spill. What did you do to her and what do you know?’
He smirked. This was fun. ‘What makes you think I did something or know anything?’ You mewling quim, he thought to himself. Natasha remained silent. ‘What do you know?’ he shot back. She smirked back at him.
Two could play that game.
‘I know there is more than meets the eye. I know Darcy Lewis is not her real name. I know Tony knows way more than you or me. I know she is a victim of child abuse. I think she is an Enhanced. Your turn.’
Loki processed this. Child abuse. On Asgard, this was punished by death. Children were sacred. Even he, who had killed in order to survive and in battle, never harmed a child.
‘Okay. I know what she is, I know her real name, I know where she is from and I know why she is running.’
Now it was Natasha’s turn to think. ‘Well, don’t be a party pooper, spill.’ Loki got up and frowned. He walked over towards the windows, lost in thought. After a minute he spoke. In a more serious voice, he stated: ‘I’m not sure it’s my place to tell you. Obviously, she didn’t want anyone to know. You could use everything I say against her and lock her up.’
Strange, he shouldn’t care about any of it…and still, he couldn’t shake the look of pure terror he had seen on her face after she realized she had probably hurt him. That was not the face of someone who enjoyed inflicting pain. As much as he had enjoyed the thought of punishing her for her insolence, he also felt weirdly protective and he couldn’t fathom why.
‘I would never do that!’ He huffed at that statement, turned around, and raised an eyebrow. ‘And what if your beloved director Fury states she is a danger, what would you do then?’ He knew he had her there. They looked at each other in a staring contest, until he grew tired of it and walked away. She couldn’t stop him anyway.

Frigga saw her husband and son walking in the distance. Followed by Jane, the two women walked over to them. ‘Husband, darling, it’s urgent that we talk about the Lady Darcy.’ Odin didn’t even look surprised. He kissed his wife on her cheek and turned towards the mortal girl. ‘Miss Foster, what a pleasure it is to have you here.’ Jane was gob smacked. Uhm what now???
She curtsied. ‘The pleasure is mine, Your Highness.’ Thor beamed and offered Jane his arm. His father did the same for Frigga and the four of them walked off. Jane tried to ask Thor what the hell just happened, but Frigga started speaking so she decided to ask later.
‘It seems the girl has magic,’ Odin nodded. ‘I know. Thor told me what happened. I fear she has forsaken training and now her magic has become unstable and dangerous. She needs help, or she will perish.’ At those words, Jane whimpered. Frigga turned around and embraced her. ‘Hush child. We will help her. I know what we must do.’ She turned to Thor. ‘We need the help of your brother.’ Thor understood. His mother was powerful, but Loki was far stronger in his magic and could help Darcy better. The question was if he would be willing. Loki still was angry that he was sent to Midgard. Odin banished him, to pay for his crimes.
After entering the castle, Heimdall was summoned and asked to retrieve Loki. Thor tried to step in. ‘I don’t think he will take that well, Father.’ He really didn’t want to alienate himself from Loki any further. He had wronged him in the past and Loki had still not forgiven him for that. Thor was afraid this would make everything worse and wanted to tell Loki himself.
‘Then that is unfortunate, for it shall happen. Heimdall, summon Loki here.’ Odin was not fazed by Thor’s request, even though he understood why his son had asked. Heimdall obeyed this order and went back to his post, to summon the God of Mischief.

Not knowing he would be back in Asgard within five minutes, Loki once again stood before Darcy’s door. He wanted to take another look at the books on magic. He was contemplating how to go about it when he felt himself being taken from Midgard. Anger took over. When he landed in Heimdall’s observatory, he was fuming with rage. Odin! Why couldn’t that bastard just leave him alone?
First, he lied to him about who he really was, then he refused to see reason and let him fall off the Bridge, and then he had the audacity to act all superior and lock him up. Followed by his banishment, even after Loki went out of his way to help Thor and that foolish mortal of his. He shot Heimdall an angry glare, before teleporting himself to the palace. He stormed in, eyes flashing dangerously. ‘What do you want now, old man?’ he hissed.
‘Loki!’ Frigga stood, trying to handle the emotions that were about to fly across the room. ‘I needed you here. Please calm down and walk with me son.’ Loki shot his father and brother another angry look, before turning on his heel and walking away. Angry as he was, he could not yell at his mother. He already hurt her feelings by stating that she wasn’t his mother. The least he could do was hear her out. Frigga sighed and walked after him. This would not be easy.
‘How is he? On Midgard?’ Odin wanted to know. ‘He helps, in his own way.’ Thor told Odin about several missions and what Loki’s part had been. ‘He is a pain in the ass, but he is valuable.’ Jane huffed causing Odin to stare at her. ‘You disagree?’ Jane mumbled an apology. When both Thor and Odin continued to look at her, she said ‘Yes he helps, but he is mostly insulting everyone, stealing food, being obnoxious and annoying.’ Thor smiled. ‘Yes, but he is also my brother and I know he can be better.

Frigga walked after an irate Loki. She had to calm him down, so she could ask him to help the mortal girl. It would take some persuasion, but she knew her son. He would accept this challenge, and maybe, just maybe, it would allow him to let love in again.
‘My son, please. I just want to talk with you. Will you not hear me out?’ Loki stopped, turned around, and looked at the woman whom he loved more than anything. He held out his hands and closed his eyes. ‘I apologize. I should not have shouted, but he makes me so angry,’ he admitted. Frigga embraced him. ‘I called you here because I need your help.’
‘You want me to help the mortal.’
‘Yes, I fear that if we do not help her, she will become a danger to herself and to others. The girl is a witch and needs to use her magic. From what Jane told me her magic wants to come out and it did, to protect her. It is very strange that no one was hurt.’ Loki huffed.
‘She threw me across the room.’ This caused Frigga to smile fondly at her son. ‘So she wounded your ego?’ Loki rolled his eyes. Yes fine, his ego was bruised. He was defeated by a mortal woman. Stupid puny mortal.
‘Will you help her?’
If he refused, the girl would eventually die. He hated admitting this, but she had grown on him. As annoying as she was, she was the first person who treated him with kindness.
‘I have frightened and hurt her, mother. She will not allow me to help her.’ Frigga shook her head. ‘She will once you apologize. Apologize and mean it. Show her who you really are and help her control it. You can do this, I have every faith.’
