Sweater
Draco didn’t know what he was supposed to be looking at, but Theo kept looking over at the Gryffindor table then smiling down into his dinner like some lovesick dork.
“What’s got you smiling?”
“She’s wearing my sweater!” Theo whispered. “Like, publicly. She doesn’t want me to just me a secret shag once in a while.” Draco’s brow furrowed as he tried to think of who Theo was talking about. “She’s not ashamed to be wearing my sweater. In front of her friends.”
Draco’s eyes flew back to the Gryffindor table. Who was wearing his mate’s sweater?
He looked to Granger. She was wearing a sweater, but was that Theo’s sweater? He wasn’t sure.

It wasn’t actually Draco’s turn to patrol tonight. He’d volunteered just to have the alone time with Granger.
“Nice sweater.”
She seemed confused but thanked him as if it was a genuine compliment and that just made Draco furious. As if he would think it was nice that she was sleeping with one of his best mates.
“I lied. It’s a fucking hideous sweater.”
Hermione stopped dead in her tracks.
Draco didn’t want to turn around. He wanted to keep walking, leave it at that. Leave her at that. But he couldn’t.
“It’s horrendous. I bet a house elf wouldn’t even take that.”
The corner of Hermione’s mouth lifted in slight amusement.
“I bet whoever knitted it gouged their eyes out with their own knitting needles after taking one look at that thing.”
“I’ll pass your critiques on to Mrs. Weasley.”
“I-“ Draco paused as Hermione’s words registered in his head. “Mrs. Weasley?”
Hermione nodded once.
“So that’s… that’s not Theo’s sweater is it?”
Hermione raised a single eyebrow at Draco, either in question or amusement. Maybe both.
“No, it’s mine.”
“I- I thought- Never mind.”
“You were jealous of Theo…” Hermione started her patrol again, leaving Draco standing in the middle of the hall.
“I just don’t like that sweater.”
“Hmm… Ginny is wearing Theo’s sweater if you want to go berate her.”
He didn’t. They both knew that.
Silently, Draco fell into place alongside Hermione.
“Jealous…” Hermione teased.
“Maybe I just think you’d look better without that sweater on.”
“For once we agree.”
“We do?” Draco wondered.
“Mmhmm. Jealously looks good on you. And I look good naked…and I’m not interested in Theo.”
