**Mentions of Abuse: slapping and use of crucio**

In the last two months, Lyra has only seen the inside of her cell and McNair who is in charge of bringing her meals.

Her thoughts travel to her parents, hoping that they got her message. Once they are able to identify a mole, they’ll be able to find her.

Hearing the jingle of the keys against the door makes Lyra roll her eyes.

“What’s on the menu tonight?”

“I’ll have to ask McNair.” Lyra perked up as she heard Lucius’ voice.

“Fancy seeing you here.” Lucius smirked.

“Glad to see confinement hasn’t affected your mind.”

“Are you glad to see it? Wouldn’t it be easier to manipulate if I was losing my mind?”

“I don’t have to manipulate you. You swore your allegiance to me.”

“No. I just said I wouldn’t try to escape anymore. I never said I would be loyal to you.”

“The specifics don’t matter. You will do my bidding for me. You can either go willingly or not, I don’t quite care.”

“Are you going to tell me your evil plan?” Lucius smirked.

“My evil plan.” Lucius laughed. “My evil plan is to restore the power behind the Malfoy name. My worthless son has destroyed everything my ancestors built. All for your mudblood mother.” Lyra’s jaw clenched. “You don’t like that word? Mudblood? Well that is what your mother is. She is a filthy, worthless, mudblood.”

“She’s a better witch than anyone in your family.”

“She is a glitch. A mistake. She shouldn’t exist.”

“The world is a better place because she is in it. What have you ever done for the wizardry world? What have you ever done for your family? I’ve read all about the Malfoys. I know who you are, I know the type of person you are. You cannot compare to my mother. She has more power in her finger than you do in your centuries long bloodline.” Her words were interrupted by Lucius’ hand striking her face. “You hit like an old man.” The next smack came harder. Lyra’s head was jolted to the side by the impact. She laughed. “That’s a very muggle way to hit me.” Lyra smirked and Lucius’ jaw clenched. “For a wizard, I would have thought you could conjure up a little more strength. But you are just like any other regular muggle. Smacking me around, thinking you can hurt me. For a death eater, I thought you’d be able to inflict a little bit of pain.”

“Oh I’ll show you pain.” Lucius raised his stolen wand. “Crucio.” The red light left the tip of his wand and hit Lyra in the stomach. She writhed in pain, but would not release a scream. “I once saw my wife’s sister torture your mother with this spell. Your mother was weaker than you. My son was too. I’m shocked that you are not as weak as they are.” Lyra smiled.

“Or maybe you just aren’t as strong as Bellatrix. I’ve heard the stories. I’ve seen the scars. If she was in front of me, I’d be scared. But with you, I have nothing to fear.”

“You will.” Lucius raised his wand arm again. “Crucio.”

The red light hit her, but she didn’t scream. She would not let herself. Her mouth was bleeding from where her teeth were digging into her lip. When he released the spell, she spit her blood towards him. “Are you ready to listen now or are you going to continue to be a brat?”

“Are you going to tell me a story now? About my ‘pathetic’ father or about my ‘disgrace’ of a mother?” Lyra’s words were slow but she still delivered them with venom. Lucius chuckled.

“No, I believe now it’s time for, what did you call it? My Evil Plan.”

Hermione was pacing her office when Draco walked in.

“Granger,”

“She disappeared almost three months ago now and we have no leads to where she is. My parents were taken, found, and have their memories returned but my daughter is still missing! I don’t know what to do, I don’t know what to feel, I am stressed out and,” Hermione paused and looked to the ground, “What if we don’t find her? What if he is hurting her?”

“Her message said he wasn’t hurting her.”

“Draco, something has changed. I can feel it in my bones that something is wrong.”

“We are trying everything to find her. My team is still reviewing to find whoever is working with my father and Potter’s team is working on finding any clues that will lead to her. There are so many people working to find her. We need to have faith that they will find her.”

“I’m trying Draco.”

“I know.” He reached out and pulled her into his arms. “We are going to find her and we are going to be a family.”

“Draco,” Hermione looked up at him. “I love you.”

“I love you, Hermione Granger. I’ve never stopped loving you.” He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “And I promise you. The second we find my father, he is a dead man.”

“Your evil plan is to hold me hostage until my seventeenth birthday so that when I no longer have the trace on my magic, you can use me to kill my mother and my father and then you’ll kill me?”

“It’s a simple plan.” Lucius smirked at Lyra.

“It sounds idiotic. Why take me a whole year before your plan is set to take place?”

“The point of this is to destroy my son. With your disappearance came my son’s resurface into your mother’s life. Their reuniting will lead to them remembering the love they shared. So when I force him to watch his long lost daughter murder the love of his life, it will destroy him. I will get to watch as his entire world crumbles to the ground.”

“Do you truly hate your son that much?”

“Draco is a disappointment to the Malfoy name. You’re a half-blood mistake and yet, you have more Malfoy potential than he did.”

“I truly do not know if that is a compliment or not. However, you did not answer my question. Do you truly hate your son enough to kill him and his family?”

“You are not his family. I am his family.”

“You just said he was disappointed to the Malfoy name. You want him dead. How can you call him family?” Lucius’ jaw was clenched. He was frustrated with the witch in front of him.

“I’ll send Mcnair in with your dinner.” Lucius left and shut the door behind him.

“Good talk, pops.” Lyra finally pulled herself off the floor and groaned at the pain. “Mummy, please find me.” Lyra whispered as she drifted off to sleep.
