Regulus loves him. That’s the only think that matters. Not his parents, not his lord, not his beliefs. Thoughts of James is the only thing that lets him trudge up the glass mountain and drink the first drops of poison. Once the pain kicked in he could think of nothing else but the eyes of his lover, the way his smile was brighter than the sun and that he deserved nothing less than the agonizing pain he was in. His nerves screamed as he wrote out his first and last acts of heroism. Before he fell into the creatures claws.
