You'll be fine

Dark Choco Cookie looked over his shoulder.

He had just broken the bonds with the dark sword.

He managed to free himself and was now free from the darkness.

His comrades were angry.

Pomegranate was surely cursing him.

But at last he was free, his head no longer hurt.

He could breathe for the first time in a long time.

He saw the frozen sky and felt peace.

But the peace did not last long.

A swirl of air appeared and at its center, Dark Enchantress.

She opened her eyes and looked at him.

An expressionless and cold look.

At that moment, Dark Choco knew that if she wanted to fight, he would be a goner.

He had no weapon to defend himself or medicine to heal himself.

So he closed his eyes and waited for the blow.

At least he had had a brief moment of peace and was unrepentant.

He waited and waited.

Until he felt a blow.

He felt as if a blanket fell on his head.

He opened his eyes and saw Dark Enchantress covering him with a cloak.

"You'll need this, it's getting very cold."

Dark Enchantress' voice was empty but laden with concern.

At her side, a bag appeared, where she took out clean and warm clothes.

"Take this, it's new clothes, you'll be able to take off your armor and wear something light."

She said as she gave the clothes to his hands.

Dark Choco looked inside the bag and saw food and healing potions.

"Also take the bag, this food should last you for at least a month, don't waste the healing potions."

Dark Enchantress gave him the bag carefully.

Dark Choco was surprised, his voice came out shaky from confusion.

"Why?"

Dark Enchantress stopped talking for a moment.

Until her hand gently grasped Dark Choco's cheek.

"Do you remember when we first met?"

Dark Choco looked at her in surprise.

The day he met her? He remembers it well.

It was cold, very cold.

Dried blood from his wound was on his clothes.

Bandages on his eye that were hastily put on.

His hair cut by his sword.

His mass ached with every step.

And the sword in his hand hurt him more.

His food rations had run out.

So now he wandered the frozen mountains.

Perhaps awaiting death.

His heart ached at his father's words.

At last, his feet gave way and he fell to the ground.

He was going to die, alone and unbeknownst to anyone.

Yes, he deserved that.

Maybe, this will make his father happy.

Perhaps... With his death, he could atone for his sins...

He closed his eyes, waiting for death.

But he opened them when he felt a liquid flood his throat.

His body began to regain strength.

And his wounds were healing.

He sat up quickly, beginning to cough from the sudden movement.

He looked at the one who saved him.

It was a cookie with black horns and a dark cloak.

The darkness it radiated attracted his sword.

He looked at her, wary.

"Who... Are you?"

He said, his voice hoarse.

She looked at him calmly.

"I'm Dark Enchantress Cookie, your savior... Will you come with me? If I leave you here, you'll die."

"Why the hell are you bothering to save me?! You don't know me... I've done horrible things... I don't deserve to be saved..."

Dark Choco looked down, helplessly.

But Dark Enchantress' gloved hand grabbed his chin gently and made him look at her.

"And who decides what is horrible or what is acceptable? Come with me, child, I'll show you a world where no one will make you feel bad for what you did, only the cause will matter."

Dark Enchantress Cookie looked at him with a smile.

Dark Choco had nothing left to lose, so he got up and let himself go.

In the end, he had nothing left.

Dark Choco blinked back to reality.

Dark Enchantress looked at him with a look of.... Concern?

"I told you I would give you a world where you wouldn't be judged for the bad thing you did, only the cause you fought for would matter..."

Dark Enchantress' thumb stroked her cheek.

"I follow my own rules, I refused my fate, I refused to be forgotten, to be destroyed..."

Dark Enchantress looked at him and smiled.

"And that extends to me not being able to stop you if you wish to refuse your destiny as well."

Dark Choco's eyes widened in surprise.

He didn't know that Dark Enchantress could have.... Such feelings.

"I knew that someday you might leave.... I already accepted that I couldn't stop you, so the only thing I can do, is this."

Dark Choco was pulled towards her.

Dark Enchantress' arms wrapped around him and formed an embrace.

Dark Enchantress hugged him, hugged him so warmly.

Dark Choco froze for a moment and then hugged her back.

"Promise me you will be safe, as soon as you turn around, you will no longer be mine to protect, you will be HIS again, so just promise me you will be safe."

They parted slightly to meet each other's eyes again.

Her eyes reflected concern such as I had never seen before.

"I want you to walk away with your head held high, with the satisfaction that you chose well, if you fall back into the darkness, I can't assure you that I'll be there again."

Dark Choco felt his eyes water.

Did he really want to cry?....

"You will become my enemy, so train... Train every day so that when we meet again, you can put up a fight, is that clear to you?"

Dark Choco nodded, nodded as he rubbed his eyes, holding back tears.

"Yes, yes, I promise..."

"Good, and take this."

Dark Enchantress handed him his old sword, the sword he used before the cursed sword.

"I went to the trouble of fixing it, grab it and never let go."

Dark Choco grabbed it and nodded.

"Good, now, get out of my sights... Go with your head held high, don't cry, you're the prince of the Dark Cacao Kingdom.... So go and live."

Dark Choco looked at her and nodded.

"Goodbye, Dark Enchantress..."

Dark Choco ran with his head held high, holding the things in his hands tightly.

He didn't look back.

He held back the tears.

She was his enemy, his enemy.

But she was also the one who accepted him at his worst.

There was only one thing he forgot to tell her.

Thank you.

Dark Enchantress looked at him from behind and smiled as a few tears rolled down her cheeks.

"You'll be fine."
