Remus woke up to the bright sunlight coming through the window, hitting his face. On a normal day would've been a lovely way to wake up, but right now, his head was starting to hurt, just another reminder of the coming full moon.

He groaned, turning around, hiding his face to Sirius' neck, who was starting to wake up as well. He started to brush a hand through Remus' hair, knowing exactly what was wrong.

“Hi love.” He whispered, reaching to the nightstand for his wand, closing the drapes, making the room nice and dark once again. Sirius set his wand down, yawning, before turning his attention back to Remus. “I'm guessing we're not feeling good today?”

“Is your head bothering you?” He asked, and Remus nodded. "I'm sorry, baby, something else bugging you?’’ he asked, kissing Remus’ temple when Remus shook his head slowly.

”Not yet.’’ he muttered, planting a chaste kiss on Sirius’ neck in return. Sirius smiled, nodding his head. Remus let out a small yawn, shifting, so he was more comfortable, Sirius wrapped his arms better around Remus.

”Let's go to sleep for a little while, yeah? it's still early.’’ He murmured into Remus’ hair, who nodded. Sirius rubbed his back slowly, letting him fall back asleep. They still had about two hours before they had to get up. Even though he wasn’t sure if Remus would be okay to go to classes, although Sirius knew very well that Remus would want to go even if he was half dead. Sirius didn’t go back to sleep, instead he kept rubbing Remus' back slowly and sometimes brushing his hair.

After a couple of hours, Sirius started to hear the other two gryffindors in their dorm wake up. He planted a gentle kiss on Remus’ forehead, letting his lips linger there for a moment, before starting to caress his cheek softly. If it were up to him, he’d let Remus just sleep. ”Morning, love. Time to get up.’’ he whispered, and after a moment Remus fluttered his eyes open, looking at Sirius. ”Feeling any better?’’

Remus shook his head, closing his eyes once again. ”I thought so. Okay to go to classes?’’ he asked, probably knowing what Remus would say. He was always okay, and nothing was bothering him enough to skip his lessons. Even though Sirius knew this, he still always asked because sometimes it would just be too much for the poor boy.

”Yeah.’’ he mumbled, slowly starting to get up, stretching his already aching joints. He looked at Sirius, who was smiling. Sirius sat up, brushing a hand through Remus’ hair as it was sticking up in every direction. He leaned in, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips.

”Why are you so cute when you wake up?’’ he asked with a smile on his face. Remus shook his head, getting up, and when he did a sudden wave of dizziness hit him, making him sit back down and rub his temples. ”All right?’’ Sirius asked, looking over at Remus worriedly, who just nodded before getting up after a moment and starting to get ready. Sirius got up as well, going to the bathroom to brush his hair before changing his clothes.

”Let's head to breakfast ten, huh?’’ He asked when both he and Remus were ready, James and Peter had already left for breakfast and if they didn't leave soon, they'd be late. Remus grabbed his book bag, nodding in Sirius’ direction. Sirius smiled, brushing Remus’ hair out of his eyes, before taking his hand and heading down to the great hall.

All the lights were too bright in Remus’ opinion. When they found their seats in the great hall opposite from James and Peter. Remus kept clinging to Sirius’ hand, who had no intention to let go. All the smells coming from everywhere just made him feel nauseous, and he definitely didn't want to eat anything.

”C’mon love, you gotta eat something or at least drink something.’’ Sirius whispered, making Remus look at him, from where he had been looking down to his lap. Without realizing it he had started to play with Sirius’ fingers, which made him worry even more. Remus took a glass of water, making Sirius smile, and kiss his cheek.

It was lunchtime, and they were just about to enter the great hall, when Remus suddenly let go of Sirius’ hand and darting out, most likely running up to their dorm. Sirius shared a confused look with both James and Peter, before following Remus.

He didn't bother to knock on the door, but just slipped into their dorm, where he knew Remus would be. He looked around the dimly lit room, seeing that the bathroom door was slightly ajar. He gently opened the door, his heart breaking at the sight in front of him. Remus was sitting on the floor against the wall, his knees tucked to his chest, chin resting on them, his whole body shaking and tears spilling from his eyes.

”Oh, you sweet little thing.’’ Sirius whispered, dropping his back to the floor, making Remus wince at the sound. Sirius sat down on the floor next to Remus, who opened his eyes looking at Sirius with teary, red rimmed eyes. ”It's okay, come here.’’ he muttered, opening his arms, and Remus didn’t hesitate to make himself comfortable, resting his head on Sirius' chest, letting the latter wrap his arms around him.

”Wanna tell me why we’re sitting on the bathroom floor, darling?’’ He continued to speak in a low, hushed tone, knowing Remus’ headache was much worse than in the morning. Remus mumbled something through his tears, but Sirius didn’t hear him. ”I’m sorry love, but I can’t hear you.’’

”Too much.’’ he whispered loud enough for Sirius to hear, who nodded kissing Remus’ head, playing with his hair. ”feelin’ bad.’’

"Like you're gonna be sick?’’ He asked, and Remus nodded, hiding his head back to Sirius’ chest. "How about we go lay down, and you get some cuddles? Let's take a bucket just in case you’re gonna be sick, that okay?’’ he asked, feeling Remus nod slightly against him.

Before gently untangling himself from Remus, he dried the tears from Remus' eyes. Getting up from the floor, before helping Remus up and leading him to his bed. "Just sit there for a minute, yeah? Let's get you something more comfy to wear.’’ he mumbled, more to himself, before going to find him a pair of joggers and a soft jumper.

He handed Remus the clothes, and Remus just nodded, looking up at Sirius, who smiled softly, kissing his cheek before going to change his clothes as well.

When he was done, he looked at Remus, who was still changing. He went to grab a trash can from underneath the desk and set it beside the bed and got him a glass of water. He set it on the nightstand. “You need something else?” He asked and Remus shook his head.

Sirius sat down on the bed, resting his head on the headboard looking at Remus, smiling. “Come here, moons.” Sirius said, opening his arms. “Come lay between my legs, yeah? Rest your back to my stomach.” Remus looked a little confused, but nodded anyway, doing as Sirius told him.

He rested his head on Sirius' Chest and Sirius smiled, wrapping his arms around Remus. “Are you feeling cold?'' he asked, and Remus nodded slightly. Sirius pulled the blanket up to Remus' chest.

“All comfy?” He whispered, kissing Remus' hair as he closed his eyes, nodding a yes. “Good, want me to rub your temples or do something?”

“Please.” Remus whispered so quietly that Sirius barely even heard. Remus shifted, so he was laying more comfortably, still between Sirius' legs.

“Okay baby, just try to get comfortable, yeah?” He murmured, starting to slowly rub Remus temples adding just the perfect pressure, having done this countless times before. He knew exactly what made Remus relax and more comfortable. What he liked and what he didn't like.

Every once in a while, he whispered sweet nothing's to Remus. He played with his hair as well, sometimes scratching his scalp and giving him gentle little massages. Planting a few kisses here and there. After a while, Remus dozed off, but Sirius didn't stop.

Remus slept for a couple of hours and woke up when James came to their dorm, probably not remembering how poorly Remus was feeling. He just turned away from the sound that came from the door, shifting, so he was laying sideways, pulling up the blanket better on him.

He heard Sirius say something to James about being quiet, and the sound didn't stop, but quieted down. “Thank you.” He mumbled, feeling Sirius fingers card through his hair.

Sirius didn't say anything, just smiled, even though Remus couldn't see it. He continued to pet Remus' hair and just comforting him, hoping he would fall back asleep. Because that was about the only thing that helped Remus' not think about the full moon or everything that just was all achy.

“Pads?” He whispered, suddenly, tears starting to burn in his eyes as he wrapped his arms around his stomach.

“What's wrong, love?” Sirius whispered, looking at Remus worriedly, who didn't answer, but just let out a small whine. ''You gotta tell me, so I can help ya.” he said worriedly, just wanting to help his poor boy. Silent tears spilled out from Remus' eyes, as everything just ached, and he felt like he was about to throw up.

“ 'm gonna be sick.” He whispered, feeling Sirius get up from behind him and grabbing the trash can from beside the bed.

“Sit up love.” He whispered, and Remus did so. He sat up and Sirius held the bin underneath Remus' chin, before sitting on the edge of the bed, starting to rub slowly up and down Remus' back.

He whispered praises and comforting things to Remus as he started to throw up. His head started to throb even more, it felt like his head
would split in two.

“All done?” Sirius asked And Remus nodded, wiping his eyes and mouth with his sleeve as Sirius cleaned up the bin, setting it back on the floor.

“Some cuddles?” He asked and Remus nodded, more tears spilling out from his eyes, the poor boy looked just so miserable. They both knew this full moon would be bad because usually this situation was going on only The night before, not a couple of days early like now. Sirius didn't mind, though, he'd take care of him no matter what.

He laid down in the bed, and Remus cuddled up to him, hiding his face to Sirius' chest as Sirius wrapped his arms tightly around Remus. “I love you so, so much, baby, your furry little problem and all.” He whispered, kissing Remus' forehead, knowing Remus was even more insecure around the full moon.

“Love you too, Siri.” Remus mumbled, so quietly, inhaling the comforting scent of cigarettes, and fresh mint. That was probably the only thing that, weirdly enough, didn't make him want to throw up.
