The Midnight Scare (1/1)
Vivian and Ginny were up in their dorm rooms. Ginny was sound asleep while Vivian was silently reading in her bed. It was close to 1 in the morning at this point, and most girls softly sleeping in their appropriate rooms. Vivian gently grabbed the next page ready to flip it once she read the last sentence. She turned it halfway, but before she could place the page down, Professor McGonagall burst through the doors. Vivian jumped throwing her book halfway across the room, and Ginny jumped awake.
“W-What’s going on?” Ginny asked, groggily. Vivian had a bad feeling about whatever was going on. She couldn’t tell if it was from McGonagall’s face or her brothers and Harry filing into the girl's room.
“I’m sorry to disrupt you two girls like this but an issue that the Weasley family must attend to,” McGonagall said very professionally but to the point. Vivian would have laughed at the fact the professor was still in her nightgown but again, that feeling in her gut told her it was bad. In fact, her whole family was still in their nightwear. “We shall get going girls, Head Master Dumbledore would like to see you now.
The two girls got up and joined their families. Vivian looked Harry up and down, “What happened to you?” She asked seriously. Poor Harry was a mess, with disheveled nightwear, pale and clammy skin, and overall just a mess.
“Now come along children,” McGonagall said, basically answering Vivian’s question. She glanced over at the twins, which were half asleep. Vivian elbowed George in the side, he quickly looked up.
“Ouch Viv, what was that for?!” George said, rubbing his side,
“Wake up, dimwat.” Vivan muttered, George glared at her. The group continued to walk to the Head Masters room. When they arrived, Dumbledoor was standing by the window, looking out into the Forbidden Forest.
“Welcome Weasly’s, and Harry. How may I help you?” Dumbledore turned to face them. McGonagall grabbed Harry by the neck of his shirt and dragged him forward.
“Tell them what you told Ron and me.” She demanded, but in a nice tone. The Weasleys looked over at the youngest brother, Ron, which looked at his feet pretending not to see his sibling's intense stares.
“What the fuck is happening?” Vivian exasperatingly said, she looked at Ron then Harry then back to Ron.
“Now Miss Viviana, do not use that type of language. But she is right Harry, tell us what’s going on.” Dumbledore said.
“I had a dream, no, a vision, I saw Arthur Weasley get attacked by Nagini in the Hall of Prophecy. It was like I was Nagini, I attacked Mr. Weasley.” Harry said very shaky and slowly.
“Wait, so you dragged us out of bed for something the Chosen One dreamt of?” Vivian questioned, the rest of the kids nodded their heads in agreement, sleepiness written all over their faces.
Dumbledore's Phoenix, Fawks, flew in with a letter in its beak. “Hold that thought, Miss Weasley,” Dumbledore said. He grabbed the letter and opened it, quickly reading it. He silently handed it to Vivian.
Looking at it carefully, she could tell it was her mom's handwriting. She felt the color drain from her body as she read on. She stumbled sideways, catching herself on a desk. Fred quickly went to her aid, grabbing her shoulders to steady her.
“Whoa, Viv.” Fred said concerned, “Here, let's sit down.” He lead her to a seat and lowered her down into it.
“What’s it say?” Ron asked,
“Dad’s in the…” Vivian swallowed thickly, “Mom wrote that he was attacked by Nagini and was transported to Mungo’s Hospital, he’ll be ok it says, but it was bad.” Her voice tapered off as she went.
George gently grabbed the letter out of his sister’s hands to look at it himself. “She wants us kids to be at Mungo’s before sunrise today.” He looked towards the two adults in the room. Vivian held her head in her hands as Fred rubbed up and down her back.
“Well then…” Dumbledore stated.
–
“Mom!” Ginny ran up to Molly and hugged her tightly,
“Hey, girly,” Molly said, it was very obvious she had been crying earlier. Fred, George, and Vivian were right behind her. Ron and Harry trailing behind.
“Where is he?” Vivian asked, her hands in her jeans pockets as she rocked on her heels. Molly sadly smiled at her, she motioned for everyone to follow her. In a small patient room, there was a bed and lying in it was none other than Arthur Weasley. He had bandages wrapped around him and scratches but other than that he looked pretty ok, considering. “Oh my god, Dad!” Vivian ran up to Arthur and whacked him on the shoulder.
“Vivian!” Molly said, scared half to death,
“How dare you scare us like that!” Vivian sorta screamed at her father, “Dumbldoor made me read that letter, I almost fainted thank you very much!” To get her point even further she put her hands on her hips, like a mini version of Molly.
“In her defense, she did almost faint.” Fred quietly added, Molly, looked at the twin with a death glare. “Sorry.” He mumbled and backed up.
“I’m sorry dear, I didn’t mean to scare you. But apparently, if Harry didn’t have a vision I certainly wouldn’t be here!” Arthur said cheerfully, he looked over at the boy who seemed to be hiding behind all the redheads in the room.
“Oh, yes! Thank you, Harry! You saved my poor Arthur!” Molly walked over to the boy and gave him a bone-crushing hug.
“N-No problem Mrs. Weasley,” Harry struggled to say as Molly still had him in a death grip.
“Well, this calls for a celebration!” Arthur smiled and cheered, the rest of the Weasley family smiled and nodded in agreement.
