Travel point: Wizards don't get sanity
Summary
Traveling is something that many love, the intrigue of seeing new and different places, experiencing new and different things and escaping mundanity. Many ask themselves what the greatest journey one may take, for some that may be the moon, for others the stars… for those with the [Traveler System] it is their very own imagination.(Harry Potter version)

New body, new life

Andrew loved the [Traveler System], not only could he travel to far away places in a fraction of a second but he could even gain supernatural powers whilst in those places. Go to Greece? Gain Herakles’ strength, Medusa’s stone gaze or whatever. And it was like this for any country, not even time was safe, he was sent in a parallel world regardless so it could be any time period he so desired and the best thing? He could take tiny bits of the power he gained with him back to his reality, his life. He was stronger, faster, smarter than he could’ve dreamed of before he got the system. He was older too, not that anyone could see that, to them Andrew was still 23 but in reality he had lived several lifetimes now, under different genders, religions, ethnicities, too bad he couldn’t access the full knowledge he had accumulated in those lifes but he didn’t need to, the more he traveled, the more he remembered, he grew. But now… now it was time for his most daring travel yet, a travel into a fictional world.

With a grin, Andrew touched the book and the system answered his call.

A Travel Point is available!

[Wizards don’t get sanity]

You’re a wizard traveler! This is the world of great magic users, the likes of Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald, Severus Snape and Harry Potter. You will start your journey as an eleven year old child on the Hogwarts express. No matter what you choose for a timeline or a background, you will have school supplies, a wand, robes and ten galleons. You will be able to use the [Traveler System, model: Wizards] in this reality.

There are several Time-zones to choose from

1 [1892]

The year that Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore goes to Hogwarts, due to lack of wizarding wars, there are around 400 new first year students and 4 teachers per core subject. Choosing this time-zone grants the traveler 1 [Magical tome] on a subject of their choice that allows instant N.E.W.T.. Level mastery of said subject.

2 [1938]

The year that Tom Marvolo Riddle goes to Hogwarts, due to the recent war against Grindelwald, the entire student body is about 600-800 with 80 new first years and every core subject has 2 teachers. Choosing this time-zone grants the traveler 1 [kill token] to kill any one person within Hogwarts permanently.

3 [1991]

The year that Harry James Potter goes to Hogwarts, due to the recent wars, only 40-50 new first year students arrive and the whole of the Hogwarts student body is no more than ~250 students. Choosing this time-zone grants the traveler 2 [Inheritance abilities] such as being a Parselmouth, a Metamorphmagus, a natural Legilimency/Occlumency, a Seer or other abilities.

“Time-zone three please”

The System locked in his answer and he was presented with a long list of [Inheritance abilities] to choose from, his choice fell on [Parselmouth] and [Natural Occlumency]. The window faded away and before him was his character customization screen, showing, when he was done with it, as follows:

[Andrew Alfric Avery]

[Orphaned Pureblood]

Old blood, old traditions, old money. Thus is the pureblooded wizards way of life. As an orphan you spent 5 years in a muggle Orphanage. Choosing this blood status grants you access to the vaults of your family(Avery) and increased relationship gain with blood supremacists.

[Male]

XY chromosomes, you are a boy. You will grow slightly taller than if you were a girl. If you change your mind… Well there are spells for that ;)

[Tall/Slender]

You are tall for a child, not to the point of having giant blood but just enough to stand out./You are light in weight even for a child, you will stay that way unless you really push those unhealthy eating patterns.

[Transfiguring your own cradle]

Changing one thing into another, this type of magic comes to you naturally. All Transfiguration spells are twice as fast to learn, last twice as long and take half the energy to perform.

[Breaking destiny]

Whatever chance you had to become a seer is gone. You are forever cursed not to be able to perform future sight in any way shape or form that is being taught at hogwarts.

[Avery looks]

Your father has blonde hair and blue eyes, your grandfather has blonde hair and blue eyes, you have blonde hair and blue eyes. You must be very popular with the germans…

[Below average Strength]

You are a child, you are a wizard, you ain’t gonna be too strong. 5 in Strength

[Magical Constitution]

You’re a fucking wizard, your immune system is jacked and even if you somehow get sick, there’s potions for that. 20 in Constitution

[Below average Speed]

Child+Wizard= not fast. 5 in Speed

[Magical Intelligence]

You are a grown man in a child's body, some might consider you a genius. 24(10+14 from your own memories) in intelligence

[Magical Looks]

My, my you lookin’ mighty fine there, have you considered going into politics? 21 in Charm

[Average Magic]

Magic comes to you as easy as it comes to most, you have about the same magical energy as the likes of Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger. Don’t be too sad, even Dumbledore started out with average energy once upon a time ;). 15 in Magic Power(MP)

[Gryffindor neutrality]

You are to be sorted into Gryffindor, yet thanks to your good blood, Slytherins aren’t automatically hostile to you, even if you make friends with Muggleborns.

“Okay System, I’m ready, send me traveling”, Andrew smirked as the world around him vanished and a new scenery appeared, one of a train compartment with red seats and with himself holding a book.

He knew this book, the transfiguration textbook, he had been reading it since he arrived on the train. For the ninth time now. He really loved the text, it was so interesting. Too bad he wasn’t allowed to practice back at the orphanage, too many muggles around. His living situation forced a sigh from Andrew, it was too bad, living with muggles. They weren’t exactly the most advanced creatures, lacking magic they had to rely on those weird machines. A silent command opened his system, it read to him his skills.

There was a quiet knock on the door which demanded Andrew’s attention, standing there was a small, scrawny boy with shaggy black hair, vibrant green eyes and big, haphazardly fixed glasses, “Can I sit here?”

He gave the robes a good look, no house crest or house colors yet so he was a first year. With a smile, andrew ushered him in, “Nice to meet you, I’m Andrew”

“I’m Harry”, the raven haired boy offered his hand.

As soon as Andrew took it, a flash of memories entered his mind about Harry, he had been the protagonist of the story that was the basis for this reality and bits of that story filled Andrew’s mind, mostly the first year of it, though some later info also seeped in. One of those events inspired his next action. Pointing his wand at Harry’s glasses, he spoke, “Those look pretty damaged, here let me fix them for you Reparo

The tape fell off and the glass was whole once more. Harry thanked him and asked if he was from a wizard family, “I am, my mom and dad died though”

“I’m so sorry, my- my parents also-”

Andrew cut him off quickly, “Don’t worry, they weren’t good people. They fought for… well you know… really it's best that they're dead. How about you?”

“Mum and Dad were magic but I never met them… I live with my aunt, she’s a muggle”, Harry looked away slightly, “Only found out I’m, y’know magic when I got my letter”

“Yeah, I hear most people in muggle families do, do you know about the houses yet?”

To the shaking of Harry’s head, Andrew continued, “Well there’s four houses, each equal really but there are some stereotypes. Anyway there is Slytherin, most politicians were in Slytherin. Traditionally they are good at potions. Slytherin takes the most ambitious wixen, they don’t get along with Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, long rivalry for the first one and as for the second… I don’t really know why. Gryffindor has many explorers and fighters, they like brave wixen. Gryffindors tend to do well in Defense against the dark arts. They don’t get along well with Slytherins because of the rivalry I mentioned”, Andrew put away his wand, “Ravenclaw has a lot of Scholars and Inventors, they prefer smart people. Charms are always dominated by ravenclaws. They get along fine with Slytherins but some of them dislike Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, not sure why. Last but certainly not least is Hufflepuff, most take very hard jobs after graduation like Auror or curse breaker because Hufflepuff has Hard working as its main focus. They get along with just about everyone except Slytherins, except for the higher years. The older students in Hufflepuff tend to get along great with the older Slytherins. Any Idea where you want to be sorted now?”

“Not really… I’m not that smart so not Ravenclaw but maybe… Gryffindor and Hufflepuff seem nice. I know someone who wants to be in Slytherin and he’s mean so I don’t want to be in the same house”, Harry ponders.

“Fair enough, I hope to get into Ravenclaw myself but then again, who knows where I’ll end up right?” His eyes darted to the 100 sided die that rolled in the corner of his vision, 48, just low enough.

[Lie Successful]

The rest of the ride went on peacefully, no one else approaching our compartment, which was strange as I remembered that Ron was supposed to come by in the original story but whatever, for some reason I disliked Ron, though my memories didn’t supply why that was.
