Hi, I’m shocked you are dressed.

Harry

Harry pulled at his shirt as he walked into his living room. His dad and Barnaby sat on his couch, the half-giants arm wrapped around the smaller man. If Harry wasn’t so nervous, he would have aww’d.

“Okay, how about this?” Harry held out his arms. He was wearing a green henley top and a pair of black denim.

“Harry, you look handsome! Isn't he handsome Ruby?” RUBY? Harry bit his lip to not

laugh at his dad’s nickname. Barnaby is just who his dad needed. He was sweet, funny, and Harry could tell he was a handful.

“Ey’ of course he is handsome. Always been handsome since he was a babe.” His dad smiled at him.

“He gets his good looks from his father,” Barnaby says, as his fingers combed through the half-giant's beard before he gave him a chaste kiss.

“Hey now, son in the room!” Harry said playfully. “Now, is this the favorite out of all of them?”

His dad’s face was redder as Barnaby winked at him. “You looked amazing in all of them, but the green shirt brings out your eyes!”

“Ok great! Now that I know what I’m wearing. What are you guys going to do today?” Harry walked over and sat on the coffee table in front of them.

“I’m taking my handsome man out. We are going to get lunch and then come back home to watch a movie. You both should come over for breakfast in the morning! I was thinking of getting donuts!” Barnaby’s blond eyebrows bounced up and down behind his red-framed glasses. Oh, didn’t need to know that his dad’s boyfriend was going to spend the night, but he was happy at the same time.

“That sounds great. We will see if he wants to see me after this date.” Harry looked at the clock and it read 12:45. His dad saw the look on his face and smiled.

“Love, we should get going. We can stop by the puffskeins.” The half-giant helped his boyfriend up.

“Take a deep breath. You’ll have lots of fun! I can’t wait to hear all the details tomorrow!” Barnaby hugged Harry and kissed him on the cheek.

“Okay Ruby, let's go see those cute puffies!” His dad hugged him quickly before he pulled him out the door.

Fang walked over to him and placed his head in Harry’s lap. “Thank you Fang, you are such a good boy. I really want this date to go well! He is so handsome and…”

There was a knock on the door that made Harry jump. Here goes nothing.

Harry walked over to the door and pulled it open. Charlie stood with a deep blue t-shirt that strained over his muscles and khaki pants. It looked like he had more freckles if that was possible.

“Hi, Charlie.”

“Hi, I’m shocked you are dressed.” Charlie's eyes looked him up and down. Harry blushed. Was he checking him out?

“It was in your letter,” Harry replied cheekily. “Do you want to come in or?” The bigger man swallowed hard and shook his head.

“No, we should get going. I hope you don’t mind us going by port key? I know little about America. I know Romania.” Charlie’s gravelly voice sounded a little nervous. He was Ted to take Harry out of the country for a date. That is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for him.

“No, that’s, wow Charlie, that is amazing! Yeah, I’m ready.” Charlie nodded and moved out the door, and Harry followed. He felt his palms sweat. Now he is going to have to touch Charlie with those hands.

Charlie pulled out a small wooden hairbrush and held it out to him. Harry reached out and looked up and smiled at the redhead.

“Hold on tight.” With that, Harry felt the whirlwind of the portkey. He stood in the middle of a town straight out of the 1800s. The buildings were colorful, blue, yellow, and green, all in a row. In the distance, there was a castle. He had been to Hogwarts before when he was little, but this was different. It seemed more beautiful. Then it hit him. He was in Romania. Did Charlie take him to Transylvania?

“Charlie? Is that Dracula’s Castle?! Are we in Transylvania?” Harry was practically jumping up and down. Charlie looked down at him with a smirk.

“It’s actually called Bran's Castle, but yes, that is Dracula’s Castle. You should see this place during Samhain. It's amazing.” Harry could only imagine.

“It looks like you need to bring me back here during Samhain, then.” Harry teased, then started walking down the cobblestone.

“There is this cafe I like to come to. The muggles love the tale of Dracula, then have restaurants, cafes everything dedicated to him. If only they knew vampires were a real thing.” Charlie caught up with him in a couple of steps. You would have to really pay attention to even notice that Charlie had prosthetics.

“Oh, gods, are you taking me to a Dracula-themed cafe!” Harry giggled out and laced their fingers together. A jolt of electricity went through him, but he just smiled up at Charlie, who didn’t pull away. That was a win.

The redhead coughed. “It’s much better than a themed cafe, but it is a surprise. I actually have a reservation.” Charlie walked with him hand in hand. He would point out different things as they went by. It truly was a beautiful place. It shocked Harry that he told stories about his friends and drunken nights. This isn’t a side Harry hasn’t seen at all, but it is a side that he wished he would show more.

They finally stopped in front of an orangish building.

“Oh wow, Charlie, is this the place?” There was a plaque on the outside of the building it read:

In aceasta casa a locuit

intre domnitorul tarii Romanesti

Vlad Dracula

fuil lui

Mircea Cel Bratrin

Charlie read it aloud in perfect Romania. Something about the redhead reading it turned Harry into jello. That shouldn't have been as hot as it was.

“W.. What does it say?” Harry looked up into blue eyes that sparkled.

In this house lived the ruler of the Romanian country Vlad Dracula, son of Mircea Cel Bratrin.” Charlie said in his husky voice.

“Oh, so he lived here! Come on, what are we waiting for?” Harry pulled Charlie into the cafe.

Charlie spoke with the hostess, and they were taken back through the cafe. The chairs and table were wood. The backs of the chairs had been designed and were painted red, gold, and blue. The walls were stone.

Harry watched as they walked past all the tables until they went outside. It was a beautiful evening.

Charlie

Charlie and Harry ate, talked, and ate some more. After the restaurant, they walked hand in hand around the town. He couldn’t believe that they had that much to talk about. Well, Harry had that much to talk about. Charlie didn’t want to admit that he loved every minute of Harry’s rambling.

“How was it to have 6 siblings? I sometimes wish I had a sibling. Though if Dad and Barnaby ever want one, that would be exciting.” Charlie felt the younger man practically buzzing.

“It was never quiet at home. Bill and I are the closest. He is my older brother. Then there is Percy, who is the golden child. He is smart and has a job at the ministry. The Twins Fred and George are the troublemakers. Ron, who loves quidditch, and wizard chest. Then there is Gen, she is the only girl. Mom and Dad love us all.”

Harry stopped them. “Charlie, that is the most I think you said about your family. Or maybe ever.” The smaller man smirked at him.

Charlie playfully glared at him. “I talk, I just have little to say. It’s your job to talk. My job is to listen.” His wand buzzed in his pocket; it was an alarm to remind him it was time to port back.

“It’s time to go back,” Charlie said as he pulled the port key out of his pocket.

“Okay!” Harry wrapped his arm around Charlie’s middle and held onto the key. Charlie loved the feel of the smaller man in his arms. He would love to feel this all the time.

Charlie and Harry now stood on Harry’s porch. He didn’t know what to do. He knew what he wanted to do, but would he be rejected?

“I had a wonderful time today. Seeing as it is so early, would you like to come in and watch a movie?” Harry asked him with big green eyes. He didn’t want this date to end.

“Okay, but first.” Charlie took a deep breath, his hand trembled as he cupped Harry’s cheeks. Those green eyes widen, when Charlie leaned in. When their lips touched, everything clicked. Into place. The smaller man wrapped his arm around his middle. Their bodies pressed together as Harry melted into him. The kiss didn’t deepen; it was enough with just the soft caresses and nibbles.

When they pulled away, Harry had the biggest smile. “Wow, umm, that was amazing. You are amazing.”

Charlie let his thumbs rub over Harry’s cheeks. “You are the amazing one, Harry. So that movie? Do you have popcorn?”

There was that bright smile again. Charlie would probably do anything to get that smile every day.

“Of course I have popcorn. I have movie butter popcorn and kettle. I’ll make both!” The smaller man pulled him inside.

That night, they watched two movies, shared a blanket, kissed, and cuddled.

Charlie felt something tickle his neck. With a groan, he moved, but it didn’t help. He was very warm as well. Did he fall asleep with his prosthetics on? Charlie opened his eyes and saw why he was warm. Harry was asleep on top of him, the smaller man’s face nuzzled into his neck.

At this moment, he felt more at peace than he has since his accident. Charlie's hands rubbed up and down the smaller man’s back. He was afraid when Harry woke up he would freak out. So he tried to enjoy what time he had left with Harry in his arms. He closed his eyes and breathed in Harry’s vanilla scent.

It could have been minutes or hours. He couldn’t tell when Harry moved and nuzzled deeper into him. Then the smaller body froze on top of him.

“Morning.” Charlie's voice was deeper from sleep. Tired, green eyes looked up at him.

“Morning, I guess we fell asleep.” Harry tried to move, but Charlie wrapped his arms around him tighter. He felt the smaller man sigh and melt into him again.

“I guess we did. I hope you slept well.” Charlie asked as he pressed a kiss into the raven-colored hair

“Uh huh, for someone who has a ton of muscles, you are pretty comfy.” Harry poked at his chest and giggled. Charlie huffed as he grabbed the boney finger.

“Wasn’t it you the other day who said he liked my muscles?” The smaller man’s face turned a deep red.

“I don’t think I said I liked them. I think I said you had them.” Harry smirked up at him. Charlie's fingers that were on his back moved to tickle the smaller man's sides. He had a wiggling body on top of him.

“Oh, so you don’t like my muscles? Good to know, then I guess you will never have to see them.” Charlie tickled more until Harry cried out.

“Fine, if I don’t see yours, you won’t see mine anymore! N.. No more opening the door half-naked!” Harry gasped out through laughter.

Charlie didn’t like that at all, so pulled Harry up and into a kiss. His fingers stopped their torture, his hands grabbed onto his hips. The kiss wasn’t like the ones they shared before. Charlie’s tongue licked at the seams of Harry’s lips, which opened with permission. He tasted every inch of his mouth. Harry was as sweet as he thought he would be. The smaller man moaned into his mouth as his hands gripped him tighter. Charlie’s hips moved, trying to find friction.

Harry pulled away, and Charlie’s eyes popped open. He saw all the emotions in those green eyes. Oh, gods, did he push too far?

“Harry, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get carried away.” Charlie tried to sit up, but it was hard with Harry still on top of him. Harry bit his lip and got off of him. He already missed his touch. He got into a sitting position. Harry shocked him by sitting back on his lap.

“This is okay, right? It’s not hurting you?” Charlie didn’t know what to say, so he shook his head. “Good, so… I don’t know how to say this. First off, you did nothing wrong. I want everything we did. You didn’t go too far. There is something I need to tell you before we continue.” Charlie didn’t like the look Harry was giving him. He knew what the premonition showed him, but who knows how far into the future that was? Maybe Harry wasn’t ready for a relationship with someone like him, at least right now. Or could the premonition be wrong?

“Okay, so I like you, Charlie, a lot. I’ve never truly felt like this before. You are amazing, hot, grumpy, and so sweet.” Charlie felt dread form in his chest. He was trying to let him down easy. His walls around his heart snapped quickly back into place.

“I…” Charlie went to speak, and Harry placed a finger on his lips. He wanted to slap the finger away, but he couldn't. The only thing he could do was place a small kiss on it.

“What I’m trying to say is that I don’t have any experience with things. The farthest I’ve done with someone was making out. I know that might change things. I don’t want you to think that I don’t want to do those things with you because I do. I just don’t know what I’m doing. I understand if you don’t want to anymore.” Harry looked down at his hand in his lap. Charlie couldn’t believe someone as beautiful as Harry had done nothing to anyone before. Though maybe he was just waiting for the right person.

Charlie used this thumb and finger to pull Harry’s chin up to look him in the eye. “I’m glad that you shared that with me, Harry. We will go at your pace. It makes me happy to know because I don’t want your first experience to be on the couch with my morning breath.” Charlie grumbled out, making the smaller man laugh.

“You don’t have morning breath.” Harry leaned in and kissed him. “So I guess that means you owe me more dates, so when we do, it can be special.” There was that smile.

“I guess I do. Let's start right now. I can take you to breakfast. I just need to go home to change.” Charlie needed to wash up and change the liners on his legs. Harry jumped up at the mention of breakfast.

“Oh, I forgot! My Dad and Barnaby asked us over for donuts! I mean, you don’t have to come if you don’t want to. I mean, I know it is early to meet the parents. I mean, you have met my parents… So it’s not too bad, but this is the first time meeting them as my boyfriend…” Harry’s eyes went wide. “I mean, not that you are my boyfriend. We have only had one official date and.” Charlie stood and kissed him silently.

“Breathe little pixy. I guess I can suffer through breakfast with your dad and his boyfriend as long as I get donuts.” Charlie growled playfully as he kissed the shocked face on Harry. “I’ll pick you up in 30 minutes. Tell your dad we will be there.” He kissed him again.

“Okay.” Harry nodded and stepped back. Charlie made his way to the door. When he opened the door, he looked back with a smirk.

“By the way, Harry, I will go to this breakfast as your boyfriend.”

Hagrid

“I guess the date went well last night if they both are coming to breakfast,” Barnaby smiled as he placed the donuts on a serving plate along with the three other types of pastries that they got at the bakery.

“I’d say so. Harry has a way of making you fall in love with em.” Hagrid put on the kettle. He hoped so. He knew Harry liked Charlie a lot, but Charlie wasn’t himself right now.

“It runs in the family. You are very easy to love too!” Barnaby walked up to the half-giant and tugged him down into a kiss. Hagrid returned the kiss happily. The shopkeeper made him happier than he has ever been. He thought it was only going to be him and Harry.

Hagrid still mourned over everyone he lost that Samhain. The battle was almost too much for the wizarding world in Britain. It wasn’t easy. He fought to keep Harry. It took a lot to convince Dumbledore he would be the best choice for Harry.

His muggle family wanted nothing to do with him. Hagrid watched that night as Harry sat on the doorstep all night. Hagrid took Harry that night and never gave him back. Britain never forgot about Harry Potter, but Hagrid made it so his child could have a good life.

“You are too, my love. I don’t know what you see in me, but I’m happy ya do.” The half-giant kissed him one more time before the front door opened.

“Dad! Barnaby! We are here!” Harry’s bright voice echoed in the house.

“It’s time to meet the boyfriend. I hope he is good enough for our Harry!” Hagrid rumbled a laugh. Barnaby was feisty and loved hard.

“He’s a good one. I’ve known his family for a long time.” Their conversation stopped when the two boys walked into the room. They were walking hand in hand. It warmed Hagrid's heart. The smile on his son's face was irreplaceable.

“Come on in, boys! We have donuts, pastries, and tea! Ruby and I are so glad that you could make it!”

Hagrid looked around his table once they all sat down. His heart was full.
