The adventures of mycroft snape

When Alastor left his office with his warning, Albus had to think about everything he had said and done. What if really nothing was left when they won the war? Nothing but ashes and blood. He was not proud of all he had done.It was not that he always lied, or liked the lies he told, but it was for making the future better. For that damn greater good Gillert always said. He never became whole again after Ariana, and when he had to duel Gillert, it destroyed anything that was left of his heart. For a long time, until Severus anyway.

Not everything he told Remus and Alastor was to manipulate them and play with their heartstrings. Well, in Remus case, it was to give Sirius, who was eavesdropping on their conversation, a little burn, a yearning for a father figure such as himself so he could be more obdient. Maybe out of competition or some jealousy between him and Severus. Since Sirius was hard to contain and not quite right in the head. And not all he told Remus were untrue. Severus was the most powerful wizard after himself and Tom.But the things he had said th Alastor were mostly true. He was surprised by how he cared for his spy. That he was mostly a confused boy who encountered one too many hardship. His home life, him being bullied, having to endure a job he loathed. He was loyal, he was smart and passionate in a way he had not seen in many and snarky he was, he did not lie. When he said Granger was a know it all, she really was. She thought she knew better than anyone and their experiences.

He thought about Harry then. Many thought he manipulated him from from start without a care.

What was he to do with a 15month old who many would seek to harm?

Longbottoms were gone, The Bones annihilated and Weasleys were poor. His godfather was a lunatic, his grandparents dead and no uncle or aunt beside those muggles. If he did not believe in blood wars even, he had no choice. Who could brought him up? And his first blood relatives were Black's, and that meant Malfoy's. God knew what would have came out of him then. They were good for their own son, he gave them that but another one? They had no such obligation to Harry.

He knew that he sometimes justified his actions, but that did not meant the actions themselves were not correct.

And he really tried that Harry became friends with Neville and Draco. Neville was loyal and had a Less hot-headed attitude and Draco was conniving and knew how to survive and thrive in hard situations. He even made Severus ask his godson to extend a hand to Harry, but idiot He was , rejected Malfoy's heir. True, Weasley was mostly logical, but he turned on his friends on a whim. Granger was smart, and Merlin knew they could not make out of some nasty situations if not for her, but the problem lied in the bad situation which happened at the first place because she encouraged getting into trouble or even created it, like brewing polyjuice 2nd year.

His mind went to Mycroft. He had to know if his memories were true and his only way was to confirm if he and Harry were Severus's.

He was anxious and he did not know how faster he could get results. As the potion took time and they did not have the luxury of having time.

He flooed Hog's head.

Aberforth was behind the bar: again? What exactly should I do not to see your ugly mug every other day?

Albus chuckeled: hello to you too, brother.

Aberforth stopped what he was doing: talk.

Albus arched a brow: oh, do we feel the brotherly love!

Aberforth just huffed.

Albus rounded his shoulders: there are..new..disturbing information. And the accuracy of them is related to know the paternity of two children.

Alastor chuckeled, actually chuckeled. 

Then laughed,a good belly laugh Albus had not heard for some time. It both saddened him and surprised him, maybe he can use this memory for his patronus too.

Aberforth then said: if muggleborn there are tests done at what they call labs. For wizards, paternity potion is not infallible, so each pureblood family have book of heirs and tapestry. If a half blood, you can use it too. Your welcome, now get lost, you will scare the kind of customers I entertain. You are too good to be seen here, get back to that castle of yours, and give Snape boy my regards, say whatever shit narcotics he gave me last time, I want it doubled. It sold like gold.

Abus complied, happily.

After a visit to Gringots, he had his answer. But that was when he received Kingsley's patronus telling him what happened at dursleys. And that Harry, now had no relatives but his father and brother.

He apparated to Grimmauld, finding Harry unconscious, Severus half conscious,( as wards came down on him) , and all others shouting obscenity.

Some minutes later:

Albus stared at the bunch of idiots before him from his half moon glasses, wondering whether to strangle them by hand or a spell.

"Let me get this straight, Sirius here ( the said guy was looking anywhere but his face) ruins the paternity potion brewed by Remus"

They all affirmed it nodding simeltanously. 

"And Remus did not know that, so he went to get Miss Granger from the infirmary "

Remus rubbed his chin and Miss Granger suddenly was really interested in her toes.

"So when Remus is not here, Sirius gives Severus a potion, in his food, because he looked...feverish" 

Sirius shrugged at that. He was feverish yes, but he gave him one of Tonks potions Snape did not approve.

" and it was a ..Miss Tonks potion...and because she is a transmorphmagus...the potion almost always turns not right one way or another?"

Severus rolls his eyes, saying ditto! In his head and planning to cut Sirius's dog tale in his sleep.

" Then Severus...The same man here,starts to...Sorry if I do not believe you, but I am quoting (cries his heart out on Sirius Black's shoulder)?"

Severus turns red, Sirius bites his lips and looks at the ceiling.

"So while all the drama unfolds, Hermione Granger floos back here, as she is bored and wants to , again quoting "take a look at the big big biiiiig library here",while Remus is at Hogwart's, looking for her in vane"

Hermione apologizes for the hundred or so under her breath. Mycroft, who is really on his last nerve interups: yes yes, can we skip to important parts? So when she arrives Sirius Black is horrified, She is horrified and God knows why, being horrified of a man crying! And they call me a sociopath!

Any way she comes and finds me, I am out of it too, cause mister beauty here had added the said potion to the whole pot of food his house elf( he chuckles, freaking shit that is?) Had cooked and I ate that too. She tries talking to me, and to know oh why I had kidnapped her and am I a death eater and blah blah blah, then brilliant as she is she remembers that her professor of potions downstairs while crying, said that is because of Tonks potions and not to touch the food.

That's when This one, he points Remus, floos back, and seeing his potion ruined begins to argue with that one. Severus is still sobbing but then out of blue he feints too.There is a bang, suddenly Harry the unfortunate appears, me and missy here arrive, I tell him of me and our father and the dunce faints.

Severus glares: very mature of you to interupt someone's speech and interesting that , said someone is your elder too. Wonders never cease do they?

Mycroft shots back: sorry father dearest. I have been better educated by my parent...oops! My parent is sitting right in front of me being told out by his elders..oooh, poor me. how ever was I supposed to learn with somebody like him as a father?

Moody silences them both: we had Snape for snarks and that was more than sufficient, we do not need his junior sassy son too.

Mycroft smiles evily" mister pirate, you know I detached your leg while I was exhausted and recently time traveled too? Care to have another go? I promise I will go for the eye this time and give you a whole minute a head.

Albus watches as his most competent lutenants, his confidant and spy, the most bright witch of her age, the only prisoner who escaped Azcaban and his only werewolf spy tear each other apart. Severus supposedly son is if not nastier,as bad as him when being snarky.

And they say why the light does not win the war.

 If they are the best, what can he do with Sybil Trelawnys and lavender Browns and Slughorns? 

Sirius was thinking, hard. Albus wondered if he tell him that James was aware and he adopted the boy. But thought it is soon. Black needed to come through this himself. He had to solve his problems with Severus and Harry paternity, if he could not take Harry now, that his father , biological one was not Potter, how he would protect the boy when the time comes? If he loved Harry, and not a perfect resurrected James he would come around.

Also Albus was finding it difficult to find a deffence teacher, and he was bullied into taking a horried woman names Dolores Umbridge, and Merlin, that pink abnormality maybe the only one he had no problem whatsoever to offer as sacrifice in whatever dark magic ritual to gain a chance against Voldemort with no regret. But that maybe, he was not sure even that ritual would accept that abonocious woman monsterosity. She had ideas about werewolf ( they have to be all slaughtered and then their bodies should be burned!, as he had regretfully made eye contact with her when she was giving her speech about the new werewolf legislation), about unicorns ( they have to be raised for their hair and used in rituals to power up the wards of ministry) , about halfbloods ( useless muggle pollinated creature should all be strolled so not have children what soever) and muggleborns( their magic should be extracted and used, they were no good for anything other that being fed to vampires to placate them, and avoiding vampires to ambush people). 

So he thought that Sirius might be the solution. But first he was a runaway, so that meant they had to catch Pettigrew and clear his name. And he had to come to terms with his authority and Severus, and now Harry problem too. He had thought about polyjuice, but dismissed it soon, if Remus who was the logical one would convinetly forget his potion because of his damn dog friend, Sirius the wild card would certainly do so at first opportunity or just to spite him or Severus or Harry.

This solution had a catch too. That was not important then, but now that there was a possibility that the wards were relying on Severus, If anything happened to him, Mycroft with his blocks on magic could not bear them. Severus knew what he got into yes, but now Harry depends on him, and what was lord of the rings and glowy blue crown? Should he read muggle books? Oh he just asks Severus. And Morgana's tits! What the sodding prophesy meant? He was sure what was what before, but now?

And they really should do something about the headquarters safty. Fidalus would be perfect, but with the news that he would die, Severus would become headmaster and could not be distracted with both school and order, now with Harry and Mycroft too, they would be both out.

He has to talk to Severus and Alastor, maybe Aberforth?

Also how Harry rejected his father? He has to research on that too in order to avoid it. Maybe for the time, minimizing their interaction with each other would suffice. Also Granger and Harry had to swear some vows now they were in the inner circle of light as Alastor had put it. Wand oath maybe?

And the way Harry feinted sounded fishy. He might need to be taught occlumency to reign in his emotions. If there was nothing else( which he did not believe,  they had bad luck with everything)
