Chapter 23
"Hermione, I swear if you fall off I'm going to..." Theo was stood holding my legs steady as I balanced on my tiptoes on a step ladder.
"Oh calm down. I'm not going to fall." I was balancing on a step ladder trying to reach up and put the star on top of the Christmas tree. It was pretty big, they had high ceilings and of course them being them, they had to get the most extravagant over the top tree they could find. It was Christmas Eve and I had finally convinced them to let me decorate this year. They said they had never done it before and I refused to wake up Christmas day without a tree.
"Why can't you just do it with magic and stop trying to give us a heart attack?" Draco said watching on stood by Theo his hands ready to catch me if I fell.
"You two need to stop worrying about me." That was met with a scoff. "And I have never in my life done it with magic and I don't plan on breaking that streak now. Plus this is your own faults, you chose this tree." I pointed out. I stretched my hand up standing on my tiptoes and finally managed to get it on. I was half tempted to pretend to fall but I knew they probably wouldn't see the funny side of that one. "There I've done it now." I went to climb down but Theo picked me up after I had come down a few steps and put me down himself. I looked up at the tree and smiled taking it in, all the silver and red colours shining in the fairy lights. I had a sudden pang of sadness in my chest, I couldn't help but wonder where my parents were right now. Were they putting their tree up? Where were they celebrating Christmas this year? Wherever it was I hoped they were happy. So happy. I bit my lip and looked down as a tear fell down my cheek. I tried my best not to focus on the fact this is the, I guess second Christmas without my parents, but the first where I wasn't fighting a war. "Fuck." I brought my hand to my face angrily and wiped at my cheek. Theo grabbed hold of my hand and squeezed it.
"You're allowed to feel sad Hermione. I miss my Mother every Christmas. It doesn't make you weak." I nodded and smiled to him and kissed him on the cheek.
"I'm okay. Thank you, for helping me decorate it without magic." They both nodded and Draco moved to stand in front of me.
"So, we have arranged a surprise for you tonight. We aren't going out anywhere, but wear something nice. Doesn't need to be overly fancy, but something smart casual." I looked between them both suspiciously.
"I won't even bother asking." I threw my hands up in the air and started tidying up all the boxes from the decorations. "What time do I need to be ready for? To go no where?"
"Six sharp sweetheart." I nodded and continued to tidy up around the apartment. My phone started buzzing in my back pocket and Annas name flashed across the screen. I swiped my finger along answering the call.
"Hey Anna"
"Hermione, I'm sorry to call you so out of the blue. I was just planning some wedding bits and wondered if maybe you might want to be a bridesmaid?" I stilled and frowned. Bridesmaid?
"Oh really?" Draco and Theo frowned at me confused wondering what was going on.
"Yeah, I mean you have become a really good friend of mine and I would love it if you would, but no pressure." Do I want to be a bridesmaid? I had no idea what it entailed. Anna was a good friend and I guess it couldn't hurt?
"Um sure yeah." Was that convincing?
"Yay! Thank you, it'll be great, I'll text you some details in a few weeks. I hope you have a good Christmas."
"Yeah you too Anna, bye" I hung up the phone and sighed staring at the screen.
"Everything okay?" Theo asked as he collapsed down the step ladder.
"Anna just asked me to be one of her bridesmaids."
"And you don't want to?"
"It's not that. I've never been a bridesmaid before I don't really know what it entails." I gasped and my eyes went wide. "Do I have to walk down the aisle?" Draco laughed and stepped forward running his fingertips up and down my arm.
"Usually yes, but it depends on the wedding they have I guess." I groaned and shut my eyes putting my forehead against his chest muttering.
"I'm going to fall over or something. If that happens you better think of excuse to leave the wedding and then we are moving to a different country." Theo laughed and came behind me hugging around my waist.
"Oh don't be so dramatic, you might have to walk down the aisle with a groomsman and hopefully they'll hold you up. Plus I have seen the shoes you walk in. If you can do that without falling over, then you can do this" Draco laughed making me lift my head back up.
"Hes got a point, some of those heels you wear are insane. Also just a side note, if Dan is walking you down the aisle, we're not going to the wedding." Draco said winking at me.
"Now who's being dramatic" I said poking him. "Anyway I think Theo scared him enough last time that he wouldn't try anything. Also, with the heels I am just wearing what you buy me babe. Now make yourself useful and tidy away these boxes I'm going to go do research on what the hell being a bridesmaid includes" I turned and walked toward the office as Theo made a comment about me not being able to do research on everything in life. I spent the next hour researching bridesmaids and their 'duties' before getting overwhelmed and going upstairs to get ready. I'll worry about the wedding another day. But right now I have to get all dressed up to.. go no where.
I pulled on a short sleeved red midi dress that had black flowers all over it, keeping with the Christmas theme. I matched it with a pair of chunky black heeled boots and a matching silver jewelry set they had bought me a couple of weeks ago. I dread to think how much it cost them. I had given up telling them to stop buying me things randomly. It only fell on deaf ears and usually it would end up that if I asked them to stop it would just happen more, so I don't mention it now. I finished the look off with some red lipstick and looked at the clock. 5:59pm. I headed downstairs and Theo was stood waiting at the bottom, the smell coming from the kitchen was making my stomach rumble.
"One whole minute to spare. I'm impressed sweetheart." He kissed me on the cheek as I reached the last stair and took my hand in his.
"Well you are nothing if not punctual. So what's happening? Am I allowed to know yet?" Theo smiled and stepped aside and I saw then that the table was set for five and not three. I looked between them both but shook my head and walked to the kitchen.
"Again, I won't even bother asking who's coming." Draco nodded and handed me a glass of mulled wine. I sat up at the kitchen island as they moved around the kitchen getting dinner together when the doorbell rang. Both of them turned to me smiling.
"I'll get that shall I?" I eyed them suspiciously before walking to the door. Behind it smiling was Harry and Ginny. Her hair was longer than ever dead straight and shiny. She was wearing a black dress with silver sparkly boots.
"Ginny?!"
"Surprise Hermione!" We both embraced screaming loudly. Harry shook his head and Draco was stood to the side of us his hand over his ear closest to us.
"I'll take it that's a good surprise then?" Harry walked past us to Draco and shook his hand handing him a bottle of whiskey.
"You'll get used to it, I like how it was straight past me to Ginny. Traitors. Thanks for inviting us, you will need this. You'll thank me later." I came out of the hug with Ginny and kissed Harry on the cheek as he wiped if off straight away complaining of the lipstick mark making Draco laugh.
"Thanks Potter. Come in, I'll get you both a drink." Ginny put her hands in the air showing her enthusiasm at the mention of drink.
"Yes! I need alcohol. I haven't been allowed to drink since training for the Quidditch professional teams and it's killed me. Stupid regulations." Ginny said shaking her head walking past everyone. Draco got the drinks and I sat on the sofa with Ginny as Theo, Draco and Harry were in the kitchen sipping on their whiskey.
"So, I will forgive the fact that I was the third person to find out about this and not the first. I honestly didn't believe Harry when he first told me. Thought he was messing around. I will also say I wasn't the happiest person when I first found it out either. But when he explained more and then said about how different you were and how happy they made you, I had to see it for myself. Funnily enough they contacted us to set this whole thing up as a surprise for you. So we've been speaking a lot." I smiled and took her hand in mine. "They're great, Hermione. Really. I'm happy for you. I'm so happy you're happy."
"Thank you Gin. Honestly I don't think I have been this happy in years. And they have done that for me. It means so much that you and Harry are so willing to move on with me. I'm so grateful for you both." I looked back over my shoulder seeing they were all still in deep conversation and then turned back to Ginny. "Have you heard from Ron?" I whispered. Ginny smiled sadly and nodded.
"I've spoken with him recently, he's not in a great place. He just won't accept this." I sighed looking down into my glass. "Hermione, you didn't do anything wrong. Give him more time. We have all tried to get him to come round, and he will. He just needs to process this." I nodded and then Theo shouted from the kitchen to us.
"When you two have finished gossiping, the food is ready if you care to join us." Ginny pointed her finger at Theo.
"Shut it Nott. I won't have any issue slating your favourite quidditch team, again." Theo shook his head and we made our way over joining them at the table. Theo made a Christmas dinner for us and it tasted incredible. After we had finished eating we all sat in the living area to have some more drinks. I was sat on Draco's lap in the armchair by the fire as I was freezing and Theo was on the long sofa opposite the fire in the corner closest to us. Ginny was leaned against Harry on the other end of the sofa Theo was on.
"But why not!? I don't see an issue with it at all!" Theo looked at Ginny and sat forward turning his body toward them more.
"Because you can't! Flying a broomstick is very different to flying a plane! Potter help me out here." Harry shook his head as if to say I'm not getting involved just sipping on his drink thoroughly entertained. Ginny had been trying to convince Theo for the past 10 minutes to let her fly their plane. I was crying with laughter at how heated they both got.
"What's the point in having friends with a plane if I'm not even allowed to fly it! Malfoy come on tell him I can fly the plane." Ginny was sat forward too waving her arms about dramatically. Draco shook his head and laughed.
"Sorry, I'm going to have to side with Theo on this one." Ginny shook her head then sat back into Harry with her arms crossed.
"You're just saying that because he's your boyfriend." Draco laughed again.
"Partly yes, he is able to repay me with sexual favors so it's always best to side with him." Theo sat back in his chair grinning and Draco winked at him. I had to adjust myself on his lap at the thought of them together. It was one of my favourite things to watch. "Hermione? Any help here would be appreciated." I shook my head and leaned back into Draco more. "I second what Draco said. That includes the sexual favors." Theo laughed as Harry groaned and Ginny grinned to me sitting forward to pick up her glass.
"So tell me. What are these two like in bed?" Harry instantly put his head in his hands.
"Ginny! You can't ask people stuff like that! Especially not when it's Hermione and especially not in front of me!" Everyone laughed but Ginny just kept her eyes on mine.
"It's okay Harry, I won't say a word." Harry brought his head back up and I looked back to Ginny. "Though I will say, I have not got any complaints." I winked to Ginny and Harry rested his head back on the sofa looking up at the ceiling shaking his head. Ginny smiled and looked between them both then shrugged.
"Well, I can't say I'm surprised. Malfoy was on the good list." Draco smirked and Harry brought his head back up confused.
"Wait, the good list? What's that?"
"Apparently the girls in our year had a good list and bad list of who was good or bad in bed." Harry's eyes widened and looked between me and Ginny.
"And the rumors are true. Good going there Hermione" Ginny said winking at me.
"I need to know who was on the bad list" Harry said smiling.
"I'll tell you later babe." Ginny said as she sipped more on her wine.
"You're going to love one of them Potter, it will give you quite the confidence boost." Theo said smiling as he sipped on his beer. Harry was sat thinking for a moment before his eyes widened in realisation and gasped.
"Dean Thomas?!" Theo nodded and Harry burst out laughing. "Bet you're glad you didn't stick around with him Gin."
"Okay, can I just say I wouldn't know as I didn't sleep with him. But yes, I am very glad if what I heard was true. Hermione you wouldn't believe how good Harry can.." I brought my hands to my ears and started shouting to drown her out.
"No Ginny! I will not discuss this with you! He is like my brother. This is just.. blegh" I said shivering. Ginny laughed and drank more.
"Thank you! See it's not just me." Harry exclaimed happy about my reaction.
"Well, we should probably go anyway. I need to get back to... you know what, I won't go into the details, but I will say it's going to be a great end to the night." I rolled my eyes at her and we walked them to the door.
"So the car will drop you straight to your place. Thanks for coming and for keeping it a secret." Theo said as Harry shook their hands again. I gave him a hug and Ginny placed an annoyingly sloppy kiss on both Theo and Dracos cheeks.
"Oo go careful Gin. Hermione took down the last girl that went after these two." Harry said wiggling his eyebrows at me. Ginny gasped and turned back to me smiling.
"Yes that bitch Alessandra! Harry told me all about her. Oh if I was you she would have had much worse. Do let me know if you ever need assistance taking her down." Ginny winked and I shook my head taking her hand in mine.
"Thanks Ginny but I think I'll be fine. Thank you again, for everything. And let Ron know that.."
"I will. Don't worry. I'll see you soon." We hugged once more and they left as I shut the door sighing.
"Well they can come again. She's bloody hilarious, never would have thought it." Theo said shrugging.
"Yeah Ginnys great. Well I really don't know how to thank you both. This was an amazing night. It was so nice to see Ginny again." They both nodded and Theo took my hand leading me back into the living room sitting me down. They both stayed standing in front of me.
"Final part of the night, we have something to give you." Draco left and went to the office and came back out with an A4 sized envelope.
"Honestly I don't need anything else, you have both done so much and I.."
"Stop talking and open the envelope." Draco gave it to me and I opened it as requested. It looked like some sort of contract. I read it over and looked back up to them.
"What's this?" They both smiled and sat either side of me.
"This, sweetheart, is your contract to become our official, third business partner. You really do have some crazy negotiation skills, you're insanely intelligent you can do amazing things and we wanted to give you the opportunity. Don't feel like you have to say yes either. If you don't want to, then don't." I looked back down at the contract. It seemed like they were literally splitting everything three ways with me. It showed how much they trusted me.
"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean I wouldn't want to.." They both shook their heads and laughed.
"We, are sure. Don't worry too much about it now. Think about it, okay?" I nodded and stood up placing the paper on the table. "You coming to bed?" Draco asked as they headed for the stairs.
"I'll be up in a minute. You carry on." They went up and I walked to the window and stood next to the Christmas tree. I needed to take a moment to remind myself, this was real. I thought back to the day they said they loved me, to the first date, to the first conversation. I can't believe this was my life. This was my reality now. I took a steadying breathe and made my way upstairs to join them in bed.
I woke up to the feel of someone kissing my neck and to someone else kissing their way down my stomach. I opened my eyes and saw Theo kissing along my neck and chest then felt Draco tease along my inner thighs before moving to my center and licking at it making me moan. Theo continued to kiss my neck and spoke into it.
"Good morning Sweetheart" I hummed and nodded.
"That it is. I would like to be woken up like this ev..." I gasped and trailed off as Draco pushed his fingers inside of me making Theo chuckle.
"What were you saying?" I smiled and moved my hand down and pulled him from his pajama bottoms and began moving my hand up and down. He kissed me and Draco sped up and I was moaning into Theos mouth as I came. Draco kissed his way back up and smiled down at me propped up on his knees.
"Morning." I laughed and he pulled the back of Theos head forward for a kiss as I moved from underneath Draco and took Theo in my mouth. Theo moved his hand down and began pleasuring Draco. I moved between them both sucking for a while on one of them before then moving over to the other as they continued making out above me.
Theo came first and I swallowed him down before Theo came down to finish Draco off. We all lead back down breathless.
"Merry fucking Christmas." Theo said making us all laugh. "Oh yeah, Merry Christmas. I forgot about that" Draco scoffed and we all got up and put some pajamas on before heading downstairs, Theo headed to the kitchen to make coffee and I flopped down onto the sofa and saw the contract on the table from last night. I put my feet on Dracos lap and Theo came back handing us the drinks sitting in the arm chair by me.
"So, sorry to talk work today, but I just want to reiterate that you both are definitely happy to have me as your actual, third business partner. Like for real?" They both laughed again and nodded.
"Yes I can confirm we are happy. What are your doubts?" I looked up in thought. I had a few.
"Well, I have a couple. First, how do you know I am actually going to be a good move? That I won't completely mess everything up that you have spent all this time building?"
"I guess we don't sweetheart, but we are pretty confident in your abilities, even if you aren't. Also, we'd always be about to help and guide you. Plus your contract does say initially, you can only do certain things. You have to get some experience first anyway." Theo shrugged and I nodded.
"Okay, then what about splitting it three ways? I have no intentions of going anywhere trust me, but isn't that risky in itself on your part?" Draco laughed.
"Darling, if you were in this for the money, there's no way you'd be that good of an actress." Theo laughed and agreed.
"I have money. I don't need it or have anything particularly to do with it, but yes I guess you're right." I took a sip of my coffee and remembered the money I had just sitting doing nothing that I didn't even want.
"Oh you have money?" Theo jested.
"I do. But I don't want it. 'The Golden Trio' were each given an amount of money for our 'acts of service' after the war." I twisted my face in disgust. "I think it was disgusting and the only thing I bought was the flat because I had no other choice at the time. I don't care for it though. Its just sitting in a vault" Draco furrowed his brow and looked up at me.
"Use it for good then?" I sat up looking at him.
"How do you mean?"
"You don't like it or care to spend it on anything, and you don't need it, why don't you donate it? Or invest it into good companies like charities that actually do something? Make it into something better than how your viewing it?" I had never thought of doing that before.
"Draco that's a great idea! I'd have to think about what I would do with it. Who knew you were so good with money." I said sarcastically.
"It's a big part of my job funnily enough. Oh, also your flat has been sold. So you can either keep that or donate it with the rest, it's up to you. Just let me know."
"I will. Thank you for dealing with all of that. Maybe I'll try and look into how I can donate it to help the aftermath of the war somehow." I felt sad again thinking to everyone that was lost, all the people who died, who weren't here this Christmas.
"I saw that. Please don't hide your feelings from us. What were you thinking about?"
"Sorry. I didn't want to bring the mood down. I was just remembering the people who died. Sounds strange but sometimes I feel like I could have done more. If I had done something different then would more people be alive? " I shook my head. That sounded so ridiculous. Theo stood and kneeled by the sofa taking my hand in his.
"From what you've told us of your time Horcrux hunting, Hermione, you kept those boys alive on multiple occasions. So without you, Voldemort probably would have never been defeated. You are a huge reason, why I am sat here talking to you now. Why Draco is sat here talking to you now. Why we're all free. We are forever in your debt." Theo kissed me on the head.
"Well, you are forgetting one big piece of how we all escaped capture in the first place." I looked to Draco and he shook his head at me. Not again. "Draco I swear if you tell me one more time you still blame yourself for what happened I will break every rule you ever set and will make your life as difficult as I possibly can." They both laughed and I sat forward and held his hand. "You didn't identify him. You knew it was Harry, me, and Ron. You knew, and you said nothing. You bought us time. You, were the biggest difference, in my living or dying that day. As well as your own."
"Hermione, I don't deserve your forgiveness or your gratitude. I let her.." I got up sighing and stood in front of him, Theo stayed on the floor.
"No. I refuse to listen to this again. You couldn't have done anything. It was not your fault, you could not have stopped it, and regardless of whether or not I was tortured, you saved my life that day, by buying us time, and you saved my life again afterward. You are saving my life right now. By loving me. By being with me. This has saved, my life. I promise you, if this had never happened, I wouldn't be here anymore. I would be dead." Draco sneered at the thought. I was over tiptoeing around this now.
"Don't say that."
"It's the honest truth Draco. I couldn't have healed myself on my own and no one else but you two could have done it for me. So I am the one in your debt." I softened slightly now and sighed. "Please, just forgive yourself. You won't be able to fully accept mine and Theos love until you have. And don't think I haven't noticed your occluding as soon as I started talking about it either. You do it a lot and I don't like to say anything but we're on the subject now so may as well talk about it." Theo stood to come next to me and held my hand in his looking down at Draco.
"She's right love. You still beat yourself up for so much that you had no control over. You know full well you saved me from a dark time. Let us save you now." We both stared at him and he looked away to the side and took a deep breathe.
"You both know why I occlude. If I let these walls down, I can't be who you are both used to. I can't control what emotions I have without it. I'm scared of that part of myself. I've had to do it for so long and I don't know what will happen if I stop." Theo nodded. "And we understand that but what happens if you never process those emotions? You have always had to be the strong one for both of us, so take your own advice, and let yourself rely on us now. We aren't going anywhere, and I have told you that enough times, when will you start to believe it? When will we finally be enough?" Draco stood up now and me and Theo stepped back to give him space. "You two are both enough, more than I deserve that's for sure. This isn't about you, this is about my emotions and the fact that I literally, have no fucking idea what will happen if I stop. What if I hurt you? What if I can't control my anger?" I frowned and stepped forward. Theo squeezed my hand in silent comfort.
"You won't." Draco stared down at me, fear clear in his eyes. He was terrified of himself. "And if you need it. Then ask for control. It worked in Paris it will work after that. We will give you anything you need, in order to help you. Anything." Draco stayed staring at me until Theo spoke moving his eyes to him.
"We want the real you Draco. We don't need you to hide yourself from us. Stop suffering on your own." He looked away again and after a while looked back to us both and sighed once more clearly debating with himself in his head. We both watched his eyes in anticipation praying the walls would go. After a little longer, they did. We both let out a breathe and Theo hugged him. "Thank you. You're gonna be okay." Draco began to cry and we all sat down. This was the most real I had seen him and I loved him so much more for it. For allowing us to see him, finally. Me and Theo comforted him as he always did us, speaking softly and lovingly, until he stopped crying and was just sat with us, as him. It took a few hours before we actually moved from the sofa. I imagine the crying was just the start of a range of emotions to come over the next few weeks as he had been occluding for so long.
"You're okay?" Theo asked as he ran his thumb over Dracos cheek as he nodded. "In that case, I need to go get something." Theo went to the kitchen going into the cupboard and brought out a black box with a red ribbon handing it to me, and a smaller box handing it to Draco. “Draco you open yours first seeing as you know what Hermiones is.” Draco eyed him and unwrapped the smaller box and pulled out a ring. It looked just like his M signet ring, but this one had a B in it. Draco smiled and pulled it out. "I know you've been wanting one that doesn't tie you to the Malfoy house anymore. So, I got you a Black one." Draco took off his M one and replaced it with the new one smiling.
"Thank you baby." Draco kissed him and they both looked to me. "Now this is joint from me and Theo. Open it."
I stared down at the box and felt the weight in my hands. It was quite heavy. I peeled the ribbon back, pulling the lid off and in the box was a snow globe. I took it out with care and stared into it. It was enchanted, magical, beautiful. Inside the globe was a snowy forest, everything covered in a white blanket of shimmering snow. There was a small cabin in the snow globe to the right, where a woman stood with a man at the open front door, letting their young brown curly haired daughter take her first foot steps in the snow. I stared at it as the scene replayed and replayed. My eyes went blurry with tears as I continued to watch. I cleared my throat and looked back up to them both as they watched me.
"It's.. it's me and my Dad." I said with a slightly broken voice. "How did you.." Theo shrugged.
"Friend of a friend makes them. We knew you couldn't go back this year, but we wanted to incorporate them somehow. We couldn't let you have this Christmas without them." I looked back down into it and watched it a few more times.
"Merry Christmas darling." I placed it gently on the table standing up and hugging Theo and Draco as tightly as I possibly could. I could say no words that would resonate how beautiful that gift was. How thoughtful.
"Thank you." I loved them with every single piece of me. Theo sniffed and I pulled out to see he was crying too, I know he missed his Mother as well. Draco wiped his cheek and left to go to the office and came back out handing him a small rectangular wrapped gift. Theo took it and unwrapped it and he held a very old battered copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. He stared at it for a minute then his slightly shaky hands opened the front cover. He saw something inside and gasped causing more tears to start falling. He looked back up at Draco his voice small.
"You found it?"
"You know how I deal with the housing estate stuff. I went to Nott Manor and did some digging. I remember you telling me about it but you said you could never find it. I found it." Draco shrugged and I looked at Theo wondering what it was.
"My Mother would read me these stories when I was really young. She wrote inside the copy she'd read to me." He turned it so I could see the inside of the book and written in it said 'My darling Theo, you are everything good in this world to me. I will love you forever. Your loving Mother' "I thought I lost it years ago. I can't believe you found it. This must have taken.."
"46 days of looking, longer if you count the days I wasn't able to look. But I wasn't going to stop until I found it. I'd do anything for either of you." Theo held it and stared at it a little longer before placing it on the table.
"Well fuck this has been the most emotional Christmas I think I've ever had." Theo said wiping at his face.
"Then you will be glad to hear, my gifts are no where near as emotional as these." I stood and went to the tree and pulled out two small boxes, one for each of them. I walked back and gave them one each before sitting down. They opened it and each pulled out a small vile and stared at me confused. "This is just one part of the gift. Here is the other part." I handed them a book each. They opened them flicking through and saw it was just blank pages. Theo laughed and looked up at me.
"Okay, does this come with some sort of instructions? I am so lost right now." I laughed and nodded leaning forward.
"Open the viles." They did as instructed. "Now, pour the contents onto the first page." They again did as I said and both their eyes widened.
"I can see us the night we were first together?" Draco said watching the photo replay. He turned the page and something else appeared. "And here I can see you after we told you we loved you?"
"I can see that too on this page, but on this one I can see us dancing at the engagement party? And this one I can see us at the pub when we first went out when were back at Hogwarts. Hermione, what are these?" Theo said also staring down in awe.
"The pages of the books fill with all of my favorite memories with each of you. Moving photos, and writing of what it was I felt in that moment, along with the place and date in which it happened. It's why I love you both so much. It's us." I shrugged and they looked at each other then back to me.
"How on earth, is this not an emotional present?" Theo asked. I laughed again and they continued flicking through the book looking at all of my favourite memories with them. Some with just us, some of all of us together. Our first date, first kiss, time in Paris, certain conversations, them asking me to move in, the dinner party with Ginny and Harry. It was all in there. I needed them to know every day, just how special they were to me.
"I'll update it every year with my new memories. So if you're ever feeling like you are undeserving, or that you don't know why I love you. Just look through this. And you'll know why." They both started crying again and I shook my head bringing my hands to my face. "I'm sorry I didn't think it would make you cry!" They stood and hugged me thanking me.
"I would ask how you even managed to do it, but I'd rather not know." Draco admitted staring back down at it. "I second Theos earlier statement, this is the most emotional Christmas I have ever had."
"It's one of the most special that's for sure. You can guarantee, this memory, will be in there next year, with I'm sure many more." I said as they continued flicking through. Draco burst out laughing at one of the pages.
"Oh yes! I get to re watch myself punch McLaggen in the nose every day?" I laughed and Theo shook his head.
"I dunno, I got a page of watching you spanking me in Paris. I quite like this one." Draco looked and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, you win. Hermione no one else can see these right? Do we have to hide them?" I laughed and shook my head. "No, only us three can see what's in them. Also, I'm hungry, who's cooking?" I asked looking between them. "I thought you were cooking today?" Draco asked looking up at me.
"Oh yeah sure, if you want to eat burnt toast I'm your girl" I said as Theo and Draco both stood making their way to the kitchen.
"Draco I think we spoil her too much. She's become way too comfortable with never lifting a finger!" Theo joked as he opened the cupboards. I sat down on the sofa and put my feet on the table with a drink pretending to ignore them flicking through one of the books.
"We definitely spoil her too much. I wouldn't change a thing though."
Me neither.
