The Weasleys
"Oh, hello, Dear. Are you well?" the woman, whom my father called Molly, asked.
"Yes Mrs. Weasley" i answered then gave her a smile, she also smilled at me and ruffled my hair.
"Oh well, breakfast is served. Why don't we eat now?" she said and went to the kitchen first, and i just followed.
The kitchen was small, rather cramped. There was a scrubbed wooden table and chairs in the middle. I sat on the edge of my chair and looked around. I mean even though this house is... cramped, it's still fascinating.
"The house is messy since i haven't got the time to fix everything, we are also expecting Bill's arrival this morning, France" said Mrs. Weasley.
"Is Bill is coming home from Egypt? Is Charlie going to come here as well?" my Father asked. Bill and Charlie must be their other sons whom already left Hogwarts.
"Charlie's busy with his dragons, you know France. He's been so busy, taking care of that dragon that Ronald and his friends sent him last year" said Mr Weasley. "Caused a lot of trouble last year, if you wont ask me"
"Arthur!" Mrs. Weasley warned.
"Well, let us change the topic then!" Mr. Weasley said.
"Oh, did i even introduce my daughter to the both-" Dad haven't finished what he's going to say when a figure came in sight. A tall figure.
"Oh.. William! You could've just knocked or call us!" Mrs Weasley barked.
"Oh.. Molly, please" said Mr Weasley.
"Sorry Mum. My stomach can't stand the hungriness anymore when i smelled the smell of the food" said the man and sat beside me. It took him a while to notice that i am here because he was to busy picking the food he wants to eat. "Oh, hello! I'm Bill, and you are?" he soon held his hand.
"Zahara, Zahara Francine Longbottom, but you can call me Francine or Franci" i said and shaked his hand.
"How old are you" He asked curiously and took a bite of the toasted bread.
"She's the same old as Neville, i assume she is also in the same year as Ronald" Dad answered for me.
"Hmm... today's Wednesday right? Why isn't she at school then? From another school, i suppose?" Bill asked again.
"Nopes, i just moved here last April" i said while chewing. "I'm from the Philippines, actually and i studied in a muggle school"
"You studied in a Muggle school all of your years?" Mr Weasley asked immidiately and stopped eating.
"I shouldn't have said that if i were you" i heared Bill mumble under his breath.
"Hmm... yes" i answered politely.
"Are they nice?" Mr Weasley asked excitedly.
"Hmm, they are i think. I didn't really socialize with muggles in those years while i'm still in the Philippines, i seldom gets outside our fence during weekends" i answered again. I did not mind him interviewing me today, I'm enjoying savouring Mrs Weasley's cooked foods.
"You go home during weekends?" Bill, beside me, asked. So i turned to look at him while chewing bacon.
"Hmm. Everyday after school i go home to be exact. School is just a few blocks away from our house, and Dad sometimes picks me up" i answered again.
"Arthur will you stop asking the poor girl about muggles? Why don't you and France hurry up on eating? Both of you will be late!" Mrs Weasley exclaimed. "And Bill, you will be degnoming the garden for me after eating"
"Can't you let me rest at first Mum?" Bill asked.
"You just need to get rid of some of them, they're getting out of hand again" Mrs Weasley said.
"Can i watch? or maybe help? I haven't seen someone degnome a garden before" i said.
"How come you haven't seen someone degnome a garden before?" Bill asked.
"Well aside from smelling the polluted air every morning and seeing concrete all around me, Dad was also barely home and we don't have a garden" i turned to look at him and gave a sweet smile. "There's just a small space between our fence and our house"
"That was so sweet of you to help, dear. But degnoming is a dull work and Bill could manage" Mrs Weasley said before she stepped out of the kitchen. Dad and Mr Weasley also finished eating and is now preparing their suitcase while Bill and i continued eating and even refilled our plates. Minutes laer, Mrs Weasley came back to the itchen with a book in her hand. "Now, let's see what Lockhart's got to say with the subject- oh! Both of you are leaving already?"
"Oh, yes, Molly, dear. We're going to be late" Mr Weasley replied.
"I've made lunch for you-" she turned around and picked up two lunch boxes from the island counter and handed both of them to Mr Weasley and Dad. "And for you".
"That's so sweet of you Molly, to do this but thank you" Dad thanked her.
"Oh, no worries France. By the way, is Francine going back to your house? Or are you going to leave her to Augusta's house again?" Mrs Weasley asked.
"Would you mind if i leave her here, Molly? Mom's not at the house since she attended the wedding of the daughter of one of our family friend. I couldn't leave her alone at the house" Dad said.
"Oh, no, I don't mind ofcourse. I would be grateful to have another company since Bill is going to rest after dengoming he garden" Mrs Weasley responded.
"And you" Dad turned to me. "Here is the house's duplicate key, and here, you might need to buy something if you think of wandering around the village later" he handed me seven galleons, 10 dollars and the house's duplicate key.
"Well Dad! Can i atleast get Neville's textbooks from Gran's house? I'm coping up with his lessons so i wouldn't struggle next year" i said.
"No, you'll go back there on Monday so you could go with your Gran and pick Neville up from the station" Dad said.
"You can borrow some of Bill or Percy's textbooks, Dear, you don't need to worry about that" Mrs Weasley said. I just smiled at her and continued on eating.
"We'll get going now, Molly. And you, Zaza, behave" Dad said before leaving
