That gaze. Those eyes. So pale but they darken the longer they rest on me. Penetrate me – through my burning robes, past my charred shirt and beyond my blistered skin. Sinking deep into my flaming heart. They follow me. They chase me. Like air.
And I want to hide.
But where do I hide when every corner seems steeped in silver? Across my walls, on my sheets. In my sleep.
They strip me down, like knives, shred by shred and I force my hands not to hold onto my clothes amidst hundreds. Fearing I’d be exposed to the world for all to see. But - but I know he won’t do that no matter what I might think.
He likes to keep me all to himself. Cradled in the cage of his irises. Forever bared. Just for him.
