The Parents
“Hello there mate. I don’t think I have met you.” James asks Harry. Harry is still trying to wrap his head around what he has just found himself in. He is in a weird timeline. He shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be seeing his father or godfather standing in front of him.
“Are you okay?” Sirius asks Harry, giving him a weird look.
“Oh yeah sorry. I'm looking for my friend.”
“Who is…” James asks with a swift hand movement.
“His name is Cedric.” James and Sirius look at each other.
“Nope, never have I heard that name. Are you all first years?”
“No he's a 6th year and I’m a 4th year.”
“How is he a 6th year and we have never heard of him. Is he a gryffindor?”
“No, Hufflepuff.”
Sirius smiles and chuckles, “And you're a gryffindor. Since you're in some weird outfit which looks really cool. You're gonna have to show James how you got it. But back to the Hufflepuff business, is he a cool one? Like I have met a few who spend a lot of time in the green houses. Is he like that?”
“Huh. He's a normal HufflePuff. Everyone likes him. Plus he has helped me many times. Can you just help me find him?”
“You need to stop confusing the poor bloke. We can certainly help you. What does he look like?” James gives him a sweet smile.
“He has red hair. He's taller than me, and he's sorta pale.”
Sirius punches James in the arm, “Sounds like a male version of Evans. Is he obsessed with books?”
“I don’t think so. I haven't known him that long. I only met him this year.”
“So he could be a cool Hufflepuff. Well we need to find him.” Sirius smiles at him and stands next to Harry, wrapping his arm around his shoulders.
James looks at Harry for a solid minute and asks, “What's your name? You look really familiar. You're a fourth year, but do you have siblings or something that are above you.”
“No, I'm an only child. My parents were never able to have more kids.”
“Did your parents work at the Ministry?”
“I don’t think so. I don’t know much about my parents.”
“Why not?”
“They died when I was one. I live with my Aunt and Uncle.” Sirius and James look at each other unsure what to say.
“How about we go find your Hufflepuff buddy. Maybe Moony will know,” Sirius grabs both of their arms leading them towards the building. He leads them to the Library without even questioning it.
After minutes they reach the Library and Sirius weaves them into the Library looking for Moony. They find him at a table in the back with a redheaded girl. She turns to look at him and he sees them. The eyes he is always told he has. His mom's eyes. He is staring at Lily Potter. Well she's an Evans right now. The eyes that he saw in many dreams.
She stands up and walks over to him, “Hello, I’m Lily Evans, and you are?”
“Um Harry.”
“Hello Harry, Do you have a last name?”
“Um no?” He doesnt think he should tell them that they are his father. At least not yet. That's when he remembers his name is on the back of his shirt. He has to get out fast before someone notices.
“Thank you all so much for everything you have done for me. I'll have to talk to you all later. I just remembered me and Cedric agreed to meet up. Bye Lily and Remus. Also thank you so much for helping me, James and Sirius.” Before anyone can say anything he backs away slowly making sure his back is faced away from them. He sees them all look at eachother.
He hears someone shout his name as he dashes out of the Library running down the Corridors to nowhere. He needs to change. And fast.
