“Is Harry ready?” James asked while frantically looking around the house to see if they missed packing anything. Harry is a very picky child when it comes to the toys he would be playing with for the next few weeks.
“Yes James he is, he has been ready for an hour now so calm down” Regulus says while he makes weird faces making Harry giggle.
“I know, I know it’s just that I don’t want Lily to have to worry about anything we might have forgotten” James looked painted as he said this. He and Lily had gotten officially divorced when Harry was barely four months old. Harry was now one year old, it’s been two years since James thought he had lost Regulus, who happened to be hiding for a year at his uncle’s Charlus house. James had a crisis after finding out, he wasn’t sure if he was allowed to love a death eater, an ex-death eater his heart kept telling him. He and Lily sat down and talked because there had been a lot of deep feelings to be explored and said. As it turns out James hadn’t been the only one who had reconnected with past lovers. Lily had found where Mary and Pandora had been staying after they had both decided to stay out of the war. They chatted and Lily felt as all of those old feelings resurface her heart. They realized she had never stopped loving neither of them. A few months later Harry was born and both had agreed to co-parent. Six months of permanent residency with weekends in the other parents house, which of course could be modified or interrupted in case an emergency had presented itself. Which was the case right now, in the year Regulus was “dead” he had started a magic exportation company in France. Some products were reported stolen so they had to head there as fast as possible and since he didn’t only exported wizards products they had to take a plane to avoid suspicions.
“DADDY” Harry exclaimed, breaking James out of his thoughts.
“What’s wrong Harry?”
“Where is my blinky” Mary had gotten Harry a blanket when he was 6 months old, he was unable to go anywhere without it.
“I’ll go look for it” Regulus said before James had the chance to panic again. Just as he was coming back with it the bell rang.
“Harry guess who it is,” James said as he opened the door.
“MOMMA, BABA AND MAMA” Harry said almost jumping of joy.
“Hi beautiful boy” Pandora said picking Harry up “Are you ready to go? Luna is waiting for you at home”
“Baby Luna?” Harry asked as he got down and hugged Lily and Mary.
“Yes baby Luna, she said she wanted to play and watch a lot of tv with you”
“Silly baba, Baby Luna no talk yet she is a very small” Harry said with a frown making everyone laugh. All of them had quit the war after realizing Dumbledore was just as bad as Voldemort and spent their time laughing and trying to spend as much time together as possible. Even Peter had come clean and told them that Dumbledore asked him to be a spy and feed Voldemort “false information” which was really as false as they were made to believe. They learned a way to get rid of the dark marks so Regulus, Peter, Barty and Evan, wouldn’t be in danger anymore. Sirius and Regulus reconcile a bit after they found out he wasn’t actually dead and they are always in touch although Regulus prefers Remus’ company better.
“Harry say goodbye to Daddy and Papa, ok? We need to get going and so do they” Lily said and Harry walked towards them giving each a kiss on the cheek and a hug. Lily took his bags and Mary grabbed Harry’s hand.
“I want ice cream please?” Harry asked.
“Sure baby” Pandora said as they walked out the door to the car.
In the car ride Harry started babbling some of his favorite songs , but of course none of them actually made sense since he didn’t know the lyrics. Mary was too love-stung to don’t record every single one of them while Pandora tried to help Harry get the words right.
Harry farted silently and then started to giggle, none of them noticed until the smell hit their nostrils.
“HARRY” Lily said while laughing “did you just toot?” Harry could stop laughing.
“You think you are so funny don’t you, Harry?” Mary said while grinning”
“Yes” Harry answered, which had Pandora almost choking on laughter.
The rest of the drive home went fast when they arrived, Luna was in the living room watching tv next to Evan who had offered to stay with his niece while they went to pick up Harry.
“Where is Barty?” Mary said as she left Harry’s stuff near the couch.
“In the kitchen” Evan said while kissing Luna’s head to stand up and greet Harry with a hug. “He is making a snack for Luna and Harry”
“I’LL BE OUT IN A SECOND” Barty yelled from the kitchen.
“When is the next “family meeting” gonna be?” Mary asked looking at Evan, “Well Peter said they want to introduce us to someone he’s been seeing- we all know is Frank but we just need to humor him for a second, Alice and Narcissa are dealing with Draco who has a cold, Regulus and James are coming back the 4th of November and Sirius and Remus are busy until the 6th due to their works, so probably the 8th” Evan concluded, “I’m surprised you haven’t seen the group chat” Barty said leaving the snacks in the table and carrying Harry and swinging him around and placing him next to Luna on the kids mat on floor. Harry hugged Luna almost immediately but carefully since he was scared to hurt her accidentally. Evan and Barty left soon after. Leaving the three of them with Harry and Luna.
It was almost 9:00pm and Harry still didn’t want to go to sleep. They blame the ice-cream they got him on the way to the house. Not even the movie “cars” made him fall asleep, “it seems like he has James’s taste” Pandora thought as they saw Mary and Lily so close to falling asleep that she was about to tell them to go to sleep and xe would put Harry to bed. Just as they started to get up, Lily and Mary were cracking up laughing. It seems like Harry saw they were falling asleep and decided to tickle the two most ticklish people on the planet. Pandora didn’t fall short of course but she took Harry’s side and helped tickle the other two until they were begging them to stop. When they didn’t they took matters into their own hands, and since all is fair in love and war, they changed sides the whole time. Eventually Harry falled asleep, they all took him upstairs, tucked him in and kissed his forehead. They all headed to their room to sleep hoping none of the children would wake up in the middle of the night. They closed their eyes and said their goodnights, holding each other as close as possible…
It was 11:59pm when there was a knock on the door, but no one answered. He who must not be named had found the Potter’s house, but when he opened the door he found the house completely empty. He searched the whole place and found nothing. Shocked, he headed out the door thinking he had mistaken the house, but the mailbox did say Potter’s, which left him even more confused, he didn’t sense any type of magic except for the anti muggle barrier one, so what was he missing? Lucius who had come with him was a bit disoriented as well. According to the information they had gotten from obsessively stalking the Potter’s for the last 3 months had told them that that’s where they lived. So unless they had noticed they were being followed by men with costumes and built a secret bunker muggle style without an inch of magic, they should be there. Defeated, Voldemort left the house with Lucius to get a cup of hot chocolate with milk and marshmallows. They will kill the child another day, but for the 1981 Halloween night he will let the boy rest safely in his parents' love and warmth.
