"Everyone settle down. I am aware that today is All Hallow's Eve and everyone is excited about the ritual." Harry Severus Weasley stood at the front of the class. He was the last member of his generation alive. His father and the rest of his aunts and uncles passed away decades ago. He hated this day and wished they would give the students the next few days off. Tonight would be Samhain and then tomorrow night was the Witches Ball. "Since I am the last class of the day, let's get through this and be done with it."
"Professor Weasley?" A lone hand slowly raised.
Harry Weasley inwardly sighed. This was Ron and Hermione's great-great-grandson and the kid was as annoying as his mother had been with the Know-It-All attitude and hand-raising. There had been in each generation. "Yes, Granger?" Ron and Hermione lost the use of the name Weasley when Ron and Ginny were disowned before Harry's seventh year by his grandfather, Arthur.
"Is it true that Harry Potter and Severus Potter are ghosts at Hogwarts? Is it true that Harry opened the Chamber of Secrets? Is it true that Harry died before the real battle of Hogwarts? Is it true that there was a headmaster who was banished from Hogwarts and his painting burned? Is it true that-"
Harry cursed. Every year a first-year student was conned into asking these questions. It was a tradition that he wished had died long ago. "I am not sure what you were told to ask but fine, I will tell you the tale as I heard it from my father, Fred Weasley. My father was friends with Harry Potter and Severus Snape-Potter."
"Oh SEVVVVIIIIEEEE, it's story time." A teenage ghost appeared in the classroom. "Hi, Fred." The ghost was wearing muggle jeans, a black jersey with a white button-down under it, a pair of black boots with the laces untied and his hair looked as if he hadn't brushed it, ever.
"It's Harry, Harry. Fred was my father."
"Sure, sure. Don't start until Sev gets here." Harry, the ghost sat down in mid-air. "Hurry up, Batman, the firsties are waiting."
An older-looking ghost floated in. "Ah, the younger Fred." Severus was dressed in his black teaching robes. "They appear to be getting shorter each year, Harry."
"Maybe, but it's story time."
Severus rolled his eyes. "Excuse him, he doesn't get out much."
The children laughed as did Harry the professor and ghost. "Pfft, as if you go to exotic locations. Now, sit. Shame we don't have any popcorn."
Professor Weasley sighed. The two of them enjoyed busting any myths regarding them. "I would say ask the source for confirmation but after decades of listening to these two pretending they have no idea what the students are asking, I have discovered it is easier for me to provide the information with their background comments."
Harry giggled as Severus looked stern. "I do not pretend anything of the sort. It is not my fault so many students have lost the subtle art of sarcasm."
"It was the year 1994 when everything started. Harry's name had been entered into the Goblet of Fire. It is also why there has never been another tournament since. Harry didn't enter his name. The headmaster at the time did nothing to stop an underage wizard from competing in an of-age wizard competition. Harry faced a rough year of my Uncle and Aunt, Ron and Hermione, not believing him and since they didn't believe him, his fellow students didn't. The only one who believed he didn't enter was Professor Snape, who by accounts hated him."
"No, I hated everyone." Severus gentled his words with a slight kiss on Harry's cheek. "I never hated Harry."
"True, he didn't. He had to pretend and we had to pretend during my fourth year that I hated him as well. I did up to that year for the record. However, Severus was the one who helped me prepare for the different events up to the final event."
"The final event is when everything started to go wrong for some people but right for many others." Harry Weasley's family had been divided because of the following events. His family was divided into those who supported Harry and those who didn't. Molly, Ronald, and Ginny were part of those who didn't support Harry. They supported Dumbledore. "During the final event of the tournament, Harry disappeared. About three hours later, he returned, almost dead. When he was finally able to explain what happened, many people didn't believe him including the headmaster, the Ministry, and the students. Does anyone know what happened? We did cover this last week." Several hands were raised. "Malfoy?"
"Voldemort returned but no one believed him."
"Five points to Ravenclaw. The headmaster forced Harry back to his muggle relatives who weren't nice to him."
"Understatement. Jinx, you owe me a coke." Harry and Severus looked at each before laughing.
"Ignore them, I think they are regressing as they age." Weasley shook his head at the two ghosts as they stuck their tongues out at him. "Point proven. Harry spent the summer with his muggle relatives. Due to this, what new changes were established in the year 1997?" A lot of hands went into the air. "Thomas?" His Aunt Ginny married Dean Thomas and had a child before he divorced her for adultery and married Lavender Brown. This was their oldest's child grandson.
"The Potter Child Protective Act which monitors children in the muggle world."
"Five points to Hufflepuff. Now, over the summer, Harry was issued an expulsion notice for using magic. My grandfather, Arthur was able to get file a grievance on behalf of Harry. They were to speak to Madam Bones regarding the issue but instead the Ministry decided to have a trial a few hours earlier without providing proper notice to Harry or my grandfather. Thankfully, Madam Bones became aware of it and was able to step in. The Minister refused to look at Harry's memories or permit truth serum. After a lot of back and forth, it was agreed that Harry wouldn't have his wand snapped and he could return to Hogwarts but he wasn't permitted to use his wand outside of class. It had to be turned into an elf before and after Harry entered or left a classroom. The Ministry also hired someone to teach that year. The professor's name was Dolores Umbridge. She was later convicted and sentenced to Azkaban for torturing students especially Harry with a Blood Quill."
Harry looked at his hand as Severus gently rubbed his thumb over the words carved into Harry's hand. "Harry's fifth year was worse than his fourth with the bullying. The exception was Severus Snape who provided Harry with a lot of detentions to help him. Umbridge loved the idea of having Severus take over the detentions because she believed Severus would torture Harry as she did. Severus taught Harry the different aspects of magic that he had been denied by the headmaster. He took Harry to Gringotts."
"Thank Merlin." Harry smiled at Severus as he flashed on the memory of them heading to Gringotts.
"Yes, thank Merlin. Due to this trip, Harry discovered he was a lord of several houses as well as part owner of Hogwarts. He also discovered just how vile the headmaster was. The man was stealing from him, was aware of the abuse at the muggles as he was paying for it to be done, and he had signed an illegal marriage contract which could have destroyed Harry and the other family as well." Arthur Weasley divorced Molly that summer after Harry had shown him the marriage contract that Molly, Ron, Ginny, and the old headmaster had signed. Sadly, he didn't disown the youngest two at the time. "Does anyone know why a marriage contract would have been declared illegal?" Harry Weasley expected the pure-bloods to know but wasn't sure if the muggle-born or half-bloods would know. A few hands went up. "Nott?"
"Only a Lord is permitted to sign a marriage contract. A magical guardian can create a betrothal contract but it wouldn't be enforced unless the lord of the family signs. If the lord is underage, the contract could be enforced if several family members support it but only if the charter permits it and there has never been a case of it happening."
"Excellent, five points to Slytherin." To help unite the students as well as boost their learning, students were divided by their aptitude for a subject. "In May of 1995, Harry was shown to be truthful. Voldemort entered the Ministry and went to the Department of Mysterious and stole the prophecy orb. While he was there, Voldemort was seen by Minister Fudge. Voldemort cursed the Minister and before he was able to escape, the worst headmaster of Hogwarts arrived with the members of his group. A small duel happened causing the deaths of several individuals before Voldemort laughing at the headmaster, escaped."
"Dumbledore and the Worthless Chicken Order." Severus snidely commented.
"I thought we liked Dumbledore and Chuck Yeah!" Harry had a list of different names they called the Order. The students giggled at the two ghosts.
Harry Weasley shook his head at the two. "Suddenly, Harry was back to being their Savior. Severus, however, had an idea."
"Damn skippy he did. It was a great idea."
"Thank you, love."
"Since Harry was being praised as the only truthful person, Harry and Severus worked on getting the different events that happened to Harry and other students over the decades since the headmaster had taken charge. So, yes, the Chamber of Secrets is real. Severus and Harry sold the Basilisk parts and Severus created several potions from those parts. Yes, we know where the entrance is. Only three people have been known to open the Chamber. Harry is the last and only one left in this part of the world. Parselmagic is rare in the United Kingdom but Asia has over a million speakers currently."
"Does he still open the Chamber?"
Weasley closed his eyes and counted to ten. "Mr. Granger, what have I told you about yelling out questions or answers?"
"Sorry, sir, but it's so exciting."
"Indeed." He saw Harry nudge Severus. He had learned to teach from Severus so it wasn't surprising he taught as Severus had taught. "Harry does open the Chamber but only once a year during the Yule holiday and you must sign up in advance to go down with the staff. To continue with this lesson so we may move forward, Harry was suddenly expected to forgive and forget the two years of bullying, name-calling, and being ignored by staff and students alike. The public wanted their Savior back since Voldemort returned. Harry, however, wasn't having it. The headmaster forced Harry back to the muggle but he forgot about one person, the one person who had supported Harry for two years. He forgot about Severus Snape. Severus and Harry used two charmed mirrors to speak to each other, so Severus was able to keep the articles going. The headmaster tried to stop them but he had no way to do so. When Harry returned for his sixth year, the headmaster admitted to knowing about Horcruxes and that Voldemort had created them. The headmaster expected Harry to go with Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. Yes, he was my uncle. Yes, he was disowned from the family for his actions." The students looked at Bill Granger.
"They deserved it from what I learned. My parents told me years ago." Granger held his head high. "We can apply to become Weasleys next year."
Harry Weasley ignored the mummers of the students. "Harry refused to hunt with the pair of them. The headmaster, of course, ignored Harry's feelings regarding the matter and expected Harry to hunt for them while in school. Harry supplied the information to Severus which prompted another trip to Gringotts. The goblins were horrified to learn about such evil magic. Now, let's be clear, dark magic doesn't equal evil." He stared at each student until they nodded their agreement. "Excellent. The goblins ran a scan of Harry because Severus was wondering about a few weird things the headmaster had mentioned. It turns out that Harry had a Horcrux in him. The goblins were able to use that Horcrux to trace the magic of the others including one in a vault at their bank. The two signatures made it stronger and easier for their magic to locate the different pieces. They were able to destroy the Horcruxes except for one in Hogwarts, one with Voldemort, and the one in Harry."
Gasps were heard at this dire news. "However, they did have a ritual to remove the Horcrux from Harry since Voldemort wasn't the only idiot who used such evil magic. Once the ritual was finished, Harry and Severus were able to return to Hogwarts minus the Horcrux. Severus and Harry were able to locate the Horcrux at Hogwarts and had the goblins meet them in the Forbidden Forest for them to take it and destroy it."
"Harry's sixth year was peaceful except for the Headmaster and his idiots expecting Harry to do the Horcrux hunt. Harry started to spend more and more of his free time with Severus and a relationship developed. Voldemort became more desperate to have the prophecy end and attacked Hogwarts at the end of the school year in 1996. The headmaster wanted to have Harry walk to his death. Harry refused to do so and the battle of Hogwarts started. When the confrontation between Harry and Voldemort started, the headmaster watched the battle and waited. Harry was killed by a stray spell that hit him in his back. Voldemort had already been dueling Harry for over an hour and the shock of seeing Harry die permitted the headmaster to kill Voldemort. The Death Eaters took off as soon as their leader was dead."
"Several days later, a memory arrived at the Ministry. It showed Dumbledore was the one to kill Harry Potter. This was after Dumbledore, Hermione, Ronald, and Ginny had already declared themselves the heroes of the battle and their mother. They had already been to Gringotts in an attempt to gain control over Harry's vaults. They were denied and the day the memories arrived via the goblins, they were in a closed session of the Wizenagamot attempting to gain access to the accounts and having Ginny declared Lady Potter-Black. The goblins arrived and brought two people with them. One was the ghost of Harry Potter and his husband, Severus Snape-Potter. It was a shocking discovery for the Wizenagamot when Madam Bones, Aurors, two ghosts, and goblins broke the wards around the Wizenagamot to arrest Headmaster Albus Dumbledore for the murder of Harry Potter. The others were charged with attempted line theft."
"They didn't die together?" One of the first years almost seemed ready to cry.
"No, we didn't. I made him wait until it was his time. I just hang around the dungeons until it was his time. He became the new Headmaster of Hogwarts and fixed the gross negligence the previous one did. My Severus helped create the way students learn, erased the division of the houses, and improve Hogwarts. He helped bring her back to her earlier glory." Harry beamed at Severus.
"Harry did his part too." Severus squeezed his husband's hand. He looked at the students quickly. He stood up. "Excuse us." He pulled Harry out of the room.
"Those two." Harry Weasley was proud to be named after the most famous pair of ghosts. "Don't let their kind act fool you either. You piss them off at your own risk. Dumbledore learned it the hard way and it is why his painting was burned and his ghost was banished from Hogwarts after he died in Azkaban. Before you ask, he was able to haunt here because his portrait was still in the storage closet. It had never been hung and when he died, it became activated. Once it was activated, Severus was able to locate it and they had a bonfire with it the following Samhain. Harry was able to banish his ghost without consulting anyone." He hoped they understood how much power it took for anyone to banish a ghost but for a ghost to do it was listed as impossible. "I am aware it is listed as impossible-"
"But as with all things Potter, nothing was ever impossible and he proved it every year." A new voice was heard in the room.
The students turned and saw the founders standing in the portrait next to the door. "It is time to head to your common rooms. The feast and then bonfire will start shortly."
"Dismissed." Harry Weasley smiled as the students filed out. "Who won this year?"
"Who do you think?" Salazar Slytherin grumbled.
"Harry and Severus, again?" Harry smiled. They had won every year since he started here. No one had been able to figure out how they were able to start the rumors and get the first years to question him and other staff members about Harry's years at Hogwarts.
