The old stars shine again (but now they’re bleeding)

When Mary and Remus though about that moment years later they thought how it was one of the last moments where everyone was together and happy.

It was the summer of 1977 and James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily, Marlene, Doracas, Mary, Emmeline and Pandora were at the beach.

Emmeline and Pandora were good friends with Doracas who was daiting Marlene who was friends with Lily who’s boyfriend was a marauder. It was a mix march of friend groups and copules. It was perfect day.

A memory of wich Mary thought of on the halloween of 1998. She was the last one. They all had died leaving her alone.

Doracas, Marlene, Pandora, James and Lily of course had been dead many years. But Emmeline and Sirius had been killed two years ago. But now Remus too?

Minerva had informed her that Nymphadora Tonks had also died. She had met the girl as a baby and a child and later as a young adult.

Once.

It was when Remus, Sirius, Remus and Emmeline had come to ask to come to the order again. She had been told about voldmerots plans. The girl had later joined to tell a messge. She had said no because she lost her friends, fiance and the will to live to the first war.

She was disturbed of her thoughts when a sharp knock came to her door.

She opend the door to find a young man who looked just like. James?. No it couldn’t be because James was dead. The boy had sharp green eyes wich looked just like Lilys.

”Im Harry Potter. I assume you’re Mary Macdonald’s? I was told you were a friend of my parents and godfather Sirius Black? Im Lily’s and James son.” The man said.

Mary let out a quiet hollow laugh.

God, this was Harry Potter? The same baby she had watched when his parents were out on an order mission.

The same boy who had been amazed by childs broomstick.

The same newborn she had held in het arms and playfully argued who should be the godmother.

”You’re right. I was a friend of you’re parents and Sirius. And Remus. Come in.” Mary said and lead the curious looking boy to the living room.

”Could-…could you tell me about my parents?” Harry asked looking incredibly nerveous.

”I suppose so.. Lets start from the begginning of who i was to your parents. I was Lilys best friend. We met at hogwarts with two other girl’s called Marlene Mckinnon and Dorcas Meadowes.

We hated you’re father and the rest of the marauders many years. Until our seventh year when Lily and James started daiting. Marlene had started daiting another girl in our dorm Dorcas Meadowes.

Emmeline and I were daiting too. Pandora was daiting some ravenclaw boy who we didn’t really know about

Sirius and Remus were also daiting at the time and the douple dates warmed them to the idea of girls in their group” I said. Gosh this was hard.

”Wait Sirius and Lupin were together?” Harry asked clearly shoked.

”They were. Of course they had so many arguments and break ups that no one was actually sure of how long they were together but i assume that about five or six years if you count the time when they lived together with the order.

Anyway through our seven year our friend group consisted of the marauders, me, Lily, Marlene, Dorcas, Emmeline Vance and Pandora Malfoy- well i suppose Lovegood.” Mary said

”Did you say Lovegood? My friend is Luna Lovegood and she said her mother was named Pandora!” Harry said

”Ah Luna. I visited Pandora few years after the war ended. I think she was three or four at the time.

Anyhow Lily, James, Marlene, Dorcas, Emmeline, Me and Sirius went to auror training. Pandora wanted to become a charm master and write books, Peter was coward and Remus… do you know about his…uh….?” Mary asked.

”I know that he was a werewolf.” Harry said.

”Ah good didn’t want to tell his secret. Even though he’s dead don’t want to people change the way they see him. You’re mother was the kindest- no. Effie Potter, your paternal grandmother was the kindest woman i have ever met but you’re mother was the second kindest.

Everyone always said that she was goody two shoes but she did pranks she just didn’t get caught.

She loved autunm, her favorite color was red. Not bright red. The color of wine. She loved reading. Her favorite class was charms but she was the best at history and potions.

She and James didn’t get along until our seventh year. She was the headgirl.

Your father… he was brave but a bit of spoiled. He was arrogant and had ego the size of a lake but a heart to match it as Remus said. But he was loyal and very good friend.

His favorite color was dark blue but he told everyone that it was gold.

He and Sirius were the first of us to decide to join the order. Lily was right after them.

Lily was the first person to know that Remus and Sirius were dating.

And Marlene and Dorcas told her first too when they were official but i was the first person to know before that when Marlene was freaking out.” I told him. I thought about how everything had chanced since then. I was alone. Of course after the first war i had been alone a lot but now there was truly no one.

”Sirius had very big ego but he was still very insicure. He had of course very good reasons but still. He, James and Marlene were on the quidditch team. He had a record player wihch he played over and over muggle songs and he played it in the common room. He loved leather clothes. He was very messy and was a bitch at poker.” Mary said. Why did she agree to this? It was more painfull than she thought.

”Can i ask some questons?” Mary suddenly said. Harry only nodded.

”Where were you put after Lily and James died?” ”I was placed with my mothers sister Petunia, her husband Veron and my cousin Duddley.” Harry said. ”Them? Gosh i only met them at Lilys Parents funreal and they were awful.” Mary said and shrudded at the memory.

”I have to go now. Thank you for telling me about my parents, Mary. Can i come visit again someday?” Harry asked.

”Of course Harry.” Mary said and smiled a smile she hadn’t smiled in 17 years. And then with a loud crack Harry was gone and Mary was again alone.
