After a long reading session Hermione got up, looked at the time and saw that it was nearly curfew. So she shot up and started to sprint towards the Gryffindor Tower, while completely distracted she just sped up and thought about how the new research she did on the new herbology homework was going to be a great improvement to Potions if Snape would allow her to try and test the fertilizer potion.
*CRASH*
While not looking ahead and taking a sharp corner ran into and over someone who was now lying underneath her, this was rather embarrassing for her because she was a prefect and was supposed to tell other people to not run in the corridors.
“I am so sorry!” Hermione started, but at the same time the other person also tried to talk to her but it was so hush and mumbly that she couldn’t understand a word. Hermione tried to get up, but instead she head butted the stranger. “Again I am so sorry.” Hermione said once again. "It's okay.” is finally something Hermione understood. “No, it’s not really. I am quite sorry.”
Now is the first time that she really looked at her victim, she was quite tall in comparison to Hermione herself but she was about the same age, but what really stood out to Hermione was that the other person had lovely freckles all over her face.
Other things Hermione noticed that the other person had great blonde hair but not like a platinum blonde more like a nordic blood but those stunning looking brown roots. In addition she looked down onto the person she had been sitting on, and noticed that she looked rather muscular.
“I am Jess.” came from beneath Hermione. She started to blink and introduced herself. "Hermione. Hermione Granger.” and to her embarrassment she tried to shake Jess’ hand but then remembered that she was still sitting on her. And then she got up in a flash but moved backwards and not forwards to avoid another headbutt.
After Jess got to sit up she took Hermiones and shook it. “Nice to meet you.” Began Hermione, but she was interrupted by a “It's nice to meet you.” by Jess, she then continued with “We probably should get going, wouldn’t want to be caught by a prefect.” and then winked at Hermione.
Who was too stunned to say that she indeed was a prefect. She just shyly giggled and noded along. At first Jess stood up and offered Hermione a hand to help her up, and then helped Hermione to pick up the books and notes that went down with the both of them.
“Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend, Hermione?” Jess asked after she gave Hermione her books that Jess picked up. “S-sure, where shall we meet?” Jess answered with a big smile “I’ll pick you up at the Gryffindor Tower.", and with a wink Jess sped up and left into the direction of the Kitchens.
A completely bewildered Hermione made her way through the castle to the Gryffindor Tower. Coming into the common room she was greeted by Harry who asked her where she had been, her answer only included that she was in the library.
