Pee!! November day 12: Magical setting

His robes were of the old-fashioned sort, deep purple velvet, intricately embroidered with strands of gold and silver, long enough to sweep the floor as he walked. Heeled, handmade black leather boots tapped the stone floor with every step.

As per tradition, he wore nothing beneath his robes, only a long cotton shirt similar to a nightshirt, designed to keep sweat and dirt away from the more expensive fabrics.

This particular look had fallen out of fashion at least two centuries ago when wizards realised that the clothes their muggle brothers wore were far more practical. Trousers soon became favoured over the long robes they had worn since the time of Merlin himself.

But tonight was special, and even though it was considered eccentric he still loved to observe the old traditions on such nights.

Robes were also rather more convenient, he thought, when one had an urgent need for the lavatory…

His bladder was full to bursting, but he found the plumbing somewhat lacking…

It was not unusual in ancient places such as this, it far predated the use of modern conveniences. One would be lucky to find an outhouse.

He wandered away from the others, ambling over the grass as if to inspect the gardens more closely.

He spread his legs slightly and relaxed. At first nothing happened, his body not used to relieving itself in this fashion, but then there was a hesitant trickle of urine.

It leaked down his left thigh before dripping onto the grass.

His bladder, having tasted relief, began to empty itself in earnest. The strong stream hissed loudly as it surged out of him, splattering into the grass.

He was grateful that there was no one close enough to hear, for the sound was undeniable. A man could be forgiven for certain eccentricities if he had enough gold and power, but this sort of thing would certainly be frowned upon.

The flow was starting to taper off, and the last few dribbles leaked down his leg again, leaving a trail of wetness.

He couldn't dry himself off, but he could live with the discomfort.

He strolled back to the group, much relieved.

There was definitely something to be said for the old ways…
