Neighbors--Charlie Swan/Harry Potter
Harry left Hogwarts after his fifth year, after Sirius was killed. With the goblins help he finished his last two years. They helped him find a Master of Spellcrafting. He spent the next five years studying under the Master in America. The only country that is free for spellcrafters to learn all areas of magic. After receiving his Mastery Harry travelled to find a place to live, but he didn't get very far. He got as far as Washington when he came upon a vampire war. What attracted him to it was the natural use of nature magic. Of course Harry got too close and they sensed him. A male vampire with honey blond hair saved him from the attack of a red-eyed female.
Harry didn't hesitate to throw an incendio at her the other red eye group looked at him before moving to attack. He conjured fiendfyre around them, slowly killing them all. After getting the fire under control he looked at his rescuer. The man just waved away anything Harry was going to say.
In the end Harry just ended up staying Forks. He became the neighbor of one Charlie Swan.
Harry liked Charlie, but he didn't like the man's daughter. She reminded him too much of Ginny. Always wanting something and never happy. Harry could see her husband knew that about her. When she found out where Harry was living she first tried to get Charlie to move. When the man refused she tried to intimidate Harry into leaving. Harry wasn't impressed by any of it, thanks to Vernon and Voldemort. Hell even the Death Eaters was more intimidating than she hoped to be. Later a group of wolf shifters tried but Harry threaten to cut off their connection to themselves and their ability.
The wizard was left alone after that. As a result he and Charlie were able to grow closer. So close that after two months he told the man the truth about who and what he is. Charlie took it all in stride considering he knew about the shifters and vampires. It was after that they started officially dating. There was a bit of reluctance on Charlie's part about Harry's age, but Harry wouldn't let him dwell on it. The Cullens and the Shifters hated it, except for Charlie's friend Billy Black. For Billy understood why Harry threatened the shifters after Harry told him the truth. The wolves were forced to apologize after being told they were idiots for doing Bella's dirty work.
That had opened their eyes, especially Jacob's. It hit Jacob like a ton of bricks when his wolf realized that Reneesme wasn't his mate. Bella had been furious. She tried to kill Harry for it. If it wasn't for Edward's plead Bella would have been dead. The Cullens had been disenchanted by Bella soon after. Harry had ended up cursing Bella to tell the truth. The Cullens and Charlie learned that Bella was a low level witch who killed the real Bella Swan when the girl took a nose dive off a cliff. The fake Bella was killed instantly and the Cullens left Forks. Harry told them all about the Wizarding World and how they didn't need to hide who they were there.
Harry and Charlie celebrated with a night of passion. Charlie took Harry several times that night in many different ways and positions. Both couldn't move by morning and Charlie was late for work.
Neither was in a hurry to change the status of their relationship. They ended up in the dating status for the next five years. They alternated their time between the houses. Everyone in Forks made them the center of all gossip. Some of the older ladies thought it was scandalous for them to be together and not be living together or married. Both Charlie and Harry ignored it all. They were happy with the way things were going.
That was until Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape showed up one day. They came on the orders of Voldemort. The Dark Lord wanted Harry back to help him rule Wizarding Britain. Before Harry could decline Charlie did it for him. The muggle told them that Harry belongs in Forks by his side and no one was going to take Harry away.
Harry ended the argument before it could start. He told them that he respectfully declines. For his life was with Charlie. Severus wished him luck, where Lucius sneered about losing another wizard to muggles. Harry put the blond in his place telling him that he just published his seventh book of spells. That the books the students were now using were the one revised and improved. Even adding more standard spells, improving the education.
After the two older wizards left Charlie shocked Harry by proposing. Charlie had said he put it off long enough and it was time to make an honest man out of Harry.
They married two months later. Harry officially moved in the following week. It had been fun being Charlie's neighbor but it will be even better to be his husband.
