Soulmate AU (with choice)--Harry/Draco

When it comes to Harry Potter and expectations one should know that the two doesn't go together. In fact Harry makes it his mission to defy all expectations put on him.

Voldemort expected him to die that horrible Halloween night. Dumbledore expected him to stay at the Dursleys, like Vernon expected him to be a good little slave and take his daily beatings. The Wizarding World, and Dumbledore, expected him to be the Golden Boy of Gryffindor and stand at the front line of their war. Dumbledore and Voldemort expected Harry to die during the war. Molly, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny expected Harry to marry Ginny and take care of the four of them. The Wizarding World and most of all the Ministry expected Harry to be their poster boy to warn away future Dark Lords.

None of that happened. Not even Harry accepting his soulmate.

Instead of dying Harry, or rather Lily, deflected the Killing Curse and banished Voldemort. The first time Vernon hit Harry he ran away, he had been four. Harry had lived on the streets for almost a year before a man named Severus Snape found him. Later Harry was living with the Malfoy family under the name Cygnus Black, until he got to Hogwarts. When he got to Hogwarts Harry was sorted into Ravenclaw. He spent a full year telling Dumbledore no every time the old coot brought up re-sorting. He ignored Dumbledore's manipulations along with anything Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley said. When the war heated up Harry ignored everyone, even when Voldemort came back. When the war finally broke out he let Dumbledore and Voldemort kill each other. And finally on his seventeenth birthday Harry ignored the dragon that appeared on his arm.

If he was going to love someone it would be on his terms. Draco understood that. So together they decided to ignore the marks and told everyone that they didn't receive one. Not long after that the two of them left Wizarding Britain to see the world.

When they started their travel their relationship was platonic at best. They really didn't think it needed to progress further than that. Having to grow up together, with the elder Malfoys and Severus treating them like brothers, kept their relationship the same.

Little did they know that that was going to change.

Protectiveness started it all. Harry and Draco were in a club in New York. They had just arrived in the States the night before. The club was Draco's idea. He wanted a night out before they travelled around America.

Things started out well, Harry danced with Draco before the blond went off to dance with other guys; Harry sat at the bar. One minute Draco was grinding against a tall brunet and the next he was storming over to the bar. Draco had felt a familiar magical spark which made him look in Harry's direction. What he saw pissed him off. Some arsehole was trying to force Harry to dance with him. Plus he was also too handsy for Draco's liking.

Draco grabbed the arsehole by the shoulder and turned him around. "No means no. Leave my brother alone." He growled at the man giving a Snape worthy glare.

"This is none of your business." The man spat back.

"What part of brother didn't you understand? That makes this my business. Walk away now." Draco warned darkly.

Harry watched the man push Draco and before he could stop it Draco was punching the man in the face. Harry grabbed a hold of the angry blond and rushed him out of the club.

They got as far as the alley before Draco had Harry wrapped into a tight protective hug. Harry sunk into the warmth and returned the hug.

"He didn't hurt you, did he?" Draco asked into Harry's neck.

"No. He just wouldn't take no for an answer. Thank you, Dray."

"You don't need to thank me, Ry." Draco muttered. He placed a soft kiss on Harry's forehead. "Come on let's go get some sleep."

From that point forward Draco kept a closer eye on Harry. And he was glad that he did for Harry attracted a lot, from unwanted attention to danger. The latter came from a wizard who wanted to kill Harry for not fighting in the war. Draco had the man stunned before he could finish the Avada. Once the Aurors left with the man Draco took Harry to a remote villa in the mountains of Colorado. They spent a week on the mountain.

The relationship progressed further not long after that close call. It, in fact, led to their first kiss.

This time it was jealousy. Harry's jealousy.

Harry and Draco had gotten invited to a party on the roof of a tall hotel in Los Angeles. There was a DJ, a pool, and a bar. Harry was sitting on one of the lounge chairs by the pool. He was watching Draco talk to a good looking blond. The other man kept moving closer to Draco. Harry was up and moving by the time the man leaned forward to kiss Draco. Harry pulled his blond away and into a kiss before either one of them could blink. The dark haired wizard moaned when Draco plunged his tongue deep into his mouth.

By the time they pulled apart they were breathless yet panting and completely aroused. They left the party to head back to their hotel room, but by the time they got to the room they were more clear headed. Neither one of them mentioned it again. Though they unconsciously began sleeping in the same bed.

They left America a month later moving onto Canada then Mexico. Not much happened in either country, nor did anything happen in South America. Australia marked their third year away from home. Before leaving South America they took two six months cruises-one muggle and one magical.

They both loved the outback of Australia. Neither one of them wanted to leave. So they ended up putting a hold on the rest of their trip and spent the next three years in Australia. Those three years were one hell of an adventure. By the end of the first year Harry and Draco, mentally, realized that they love the other man. The first six months was filled with sleepy morning kisses, teasing domestic kisses, and passionate goodnight kisses. Neither knew who made the first move to further things along, but they do know what caused it. It was a heavy thunderstorm. Harry and Draco were sitting on their couch, more like cuddling, drinking wine and enjoying the storm in front of the fire. Draco was caressing Harry's back in soothing up and down motions. Harry was rubbing Draco's upper torso and lightly sucking on the skin under his jaw.

They gone from sitting on the couch to laying on the floor naked and Draco on top. Their kissing was passionate, touches fueled their desire. More than once Harry rolled them to explore Draco's body and learn his hot spots. One minute Harry was deepthroating Draco's impressive cock and next Draco had Harry's legs spread and his cock sliding into his body. Draco made love to Harry that lasted long after the storm calmed.

Their third year was an adventure by itself. It was the year Corvus Draconis Malfoy was born. Harry and Draco bonded in secret the day they learned that Harry was pregnant. They knew Narcissa would kill them for it just like Lucius would kill them for not telling him about his grandson. They had a wonderful year raising Corvus.

When Corvus turned one, Harry found out that he was pregnant again. Draco decided it was time to finish their world trip and go back to England. Halfway with the remaining countries Harry gave birth to Callidora Jasmine, the first female Malfoy in a hundred years according to Draco.

To say that their homecoming was joyful was an understatement. Lucius ranted and raved about not being at the birth of his grandchildren, Narcissa yelled and lectured about bonding secretly, and Severus threaten to use them as potion ingredients if they left him alone with the other two again.

Once everything was calm in the manor the family settled in the sitting room. Lucius and Narcissa bonded with their grandchildren while Harry and Draco spoke of their seven and half year adventure.

"Hold on a minute," Severus interrupted. "I thought you both said you weren't marked."

Harry blushed and pulled his sleeve down. Draco wrapped an arm around his husband.

"We told you we weren't because we didn't want to be forced. Harry and I didn't kiss until two years after we left home. We wanted to do things at our pace. Corvus came six years after leaving home, Callidora a year later."

"We didn't mean to lie about it." Harry spoke up. "At the time we felt nothing but brotherly friendship. Certain things happened during our trip that helped progress our relationship slowly."

"None of that matters now boys. Now you are together, married and have two children." Narcissa smiled at them. "You two let your hearts lead you."

Draco kissed his husband's temple before looking at their family. "That's three children."
