'' What do you mean we need to change ships?'' Lucius asked incredulously while looking at Narcissa sparing with Will. That bloody wonderful woman already took him under her wing, he though affectionally

'' I mean-'' Jack tries to explain with his hands ''- Malchance is much slower than that one-'' he points to the stolen ship  ''- so you can change it. Make your ship follow behind us.''

'' Or... I can discharge my goods on that one-'' he points at his back  ''- and just use my magic and prayers to make my ship faster.'' he said 

'' Or-'' Jack snaps his fingers and said excited  ''- you can use the new ship and make Malchance follow from behind. Draco and Cissa could always travel back and forth -''

''- no worries of getting caught there with all the magic you put in it-''

'' - and wouldn't it be better if your family has a safe place if worse come to worse?'' Jack asked innocently already knowing the answer

'' We are finally getting a crew?'' Draco asked excited while Lucius was scratching marks on his ship. If he wanted this ship to be the most protected and indestructible place that could make his family safe then something similar like Narcissa necklace should happen. Just a little more bloody. So making weird marks that he actually had no idea what they mean and then letting his blood fill the gaps until the entire ship was covered was the choice.

'' Jack is. Our ship is still this one-'' he knocked gently on Malchance before continuing  ''- and is still runned by my magic with no need of any crew.'' he finished proudly, gently scratching the wood  '' This is our home Draco. At some point it will be yours to commander.''

Draco stayed in silence a bit, glancing at the other ship were his mother was talking with Jack and Will, probably trying to get them in another spar with her. Then he looked back at his father, hunched over the wood making intricate marks on the wood sometimes muttering slightly, a blessing most probably. 

'' And then?'' he asked squatting beside his father but making sure to not bother his work  '' After me? ''

'' Your child and your child children and so on and so on. And if you don't have a son, that's alright too. You can just chose someone worthy enough to command her.'' Lucius said reassuringly smiling at his all too curious son   '' Do you remember the story's your mother tells you?''

'' The ones where if I try hard enough I could transform myself into a dragon?'' Draco said scrunching his nose making his father snort amused

'' That one. And who knows-'' he gets up finishing the markings  ''- maybe someday, if your magic can hold it, you really would.'' he said ruffling the kid hair and pushing him away gently towards the other ship  '' Go on, Draco. This will be something that you should later on in life.'' Draco leaves a little reluctantly, always curious to know what his father magic could do

Once Draco was safely on the other ship Lucius sighed and rolled his shoulders, those things always drain him but at last the end is satisfied. Kneeling down on the clean floor, Lucius takes out one of his arms and one of the knives made by his lovely wife. With precise cuts he adorns his arm with three of them making him look almost mauled. Blood flood easily, dripping on the ship marks and spreading around the ship.

At the same time, Lucius let his power spread around the  ship, feeling the wood cracking slightly as more and more marks filled and closed themselves. In the place of the marks, on the already white-ish floor, more silvery marks could be seen if looked carefully. The ship throbbed, feeling the heavy weight of magic surrounding her then she stopped. No human eye could see Malchance. No ship could broke her and no cannons penetrate her. Nothing could exist there that could this ship way or be anything but a huge protective dome.

Lucius looked up and seeing the darkening sky, he took a piece of cloth, tied it around his arm making sure the cuts were covered and jumped from a ship to another. He stumbled a little, a little dizzy from the blood and magic loss but a strong hand immediately straightened him patting his back harshly.

'' Rough ride mate?'' Jack said going back to the wheel. By his side, their new companion Will was looking back with narrowed eyes making Lucius snort

'' You wouldn't see her.'' the man said smiling a little tired towards the ship, even like this covered in magic and he himself being magic he could see just the grey outline of his ship   '' No one can.'' he stated the obvious

'' Are all of you witches?'' Will said curious remembering Narcissa too light and swift fighting nature

'' Wizard is the male term.'' Jack said thinking of a young Lucius incredulous expression when learning of the term

'' And yes we are. Well beside Jack but I still believe he has some sort of unnatural luck there so it counts as magic.'' Lucius said before adding  '' Just a little different.'' Will nods not even already knowing that it was somehow the true. They did escape Port Royal without any wounds and a child abord.

'' Then why do you need a crew if you could do anything with magic?'' Will asked biting his tongue at their expressions

'' Because the crew and this ship is mine now. We are going to the most wretched place that a pirate could go, take up a crew with us to maintain this ship. Then I get the Pearl and the heads on my last and first crew, you get the girl and the honor to save her, bringing her back to her dear father...or not you could just run away with her or whatever get's your fancy and my mate here gets revenge on those bastard and spends the rest of his life with his lovely family.'' Jack said 

'' Despite the fact we know each other for a lifetime and have the most trust in each other, we are both captains of a ship. I get mine he gets his. Savvy?'' Lucius asked smiling cheerfully the blood loss making him a little crazy

Tortuga was the same fucked up place he remembers. The last time Lucius step foot here was five years ago, when his four years old son caught a fever and the only place the compass could show him was the same island he runned long ago. His wife didn't care though, using the barely there magic he had at that time to keep their son breath regulated.

'' What are you two lookin' at?! Go now before I take that wheel myself!'' she yelled at the two when they hesitated

They found one man, a pirate like all of them walking around with a magic potion stolen from a witch at the beginning of his piracy. Mr. Gibbs. They won the potion of him and somehow around the years associated themselves with one another more than liked.

'' More importantly it is indeed a sad life that has never breathed deep the sweet, proliferous bouquet that is Tortuga. Savvy?'' Jack presented Will the island walking the always awake streets. On Will other side Lucius was looking around trying to spot a certain black skinned woman

'' What do you think?'' Jack asked his hand holding lightly the young man waist. A snort distracted them just to see Lucius looking down at a pig of a man gorging himself in alcohol. Will give Jack a look before adding

'' I'll linger.'' 

'' I tell you mate-'' Jack said pointing around him  ''- if every town in the word were like this one, no man will ever feel unwanted.'' he added quietly  '' No matter his preferences.''

'' Zira.'' Lucius call make the two stop looking at each other like idiots and look towards the silver haired pirate. A beautiful dark skinned woman, the only elegant and poisonous person walking he streets at that woman and the only person brave enough or more like terrifying enough to wear an extravagant set of golden jewelry adorning her head, neck and wrists.

'' Lucius and Jack.'' the woman said in a surprising deep voice  '' It's good to see you my dears.'' she eyed Will then added  '' Did either of you took a little toy along?'' she purred prowling towards Will

'' A very precious one indeed.'' Jack said griping tighter his waist, then walked towards Zira and putting an arm loosely around her shoulders  '' A ticket for the Pearl.'' he whispered clicking  her jewelry gently  then stepped away like he was just caught stealing, taking his spot back beside Will

'' Any idea were Gibbs running around?'' Lucius asked making Zira laugh. A melodic sound that could rival a siren but Lucius never look somewhere else beside his lovely wife so he just shakes his head at her attics

A tavern, three pigs and a well aimed water bucket later Gibbs woke up from his sleeping spot among the pigs. 

'' Curse you for breathing you slack-jawed bastard.'' he yelled taking a knife out just to spot the three pirates  '' Mothers' love. Jack and Lucius.'' then he breaths heavily losing his smile   '' You should know better than waking a man up from his sleep. It brings bad luck.'' he said making Lucius snort

'' Ah fortunately I know a way to counter it.'' Jack said throwing the bucket away  '' The man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink.''  he adds  '' And the man who did the sleeping listen to a proposition to the man that did the waking.''  Jack smiles, behind him Lucius looked with too luminous eyes at Gibbs then smiled.

Gibbs just smiles and offers a hand to get up, Jack taking it and putting him back on his feet.  '' Aye, that about to it.''  Lucius barely avoid the next bucket that hit Gibbs right in the face. The two pirates look back to see Will holding another water bucket, now empty.

'' That's for the smell.''  he adds almost falling when Lucius pats his back appreciatively

A couple minutes later Will, Jack and Gibbs entered the tavern. 

'' Why isn't Luci-'' a hand suddenly covers his mouth and Jack makes a shushing sound

'' The short version is that he is banned. The long one too long to explain... like the name says.'' Jack said evading an incoming bottle

'' Banned? Someone can get banned from this...place.'' Will said beyond surprised gritting his teeth when a man was throw too close to him. Gibbs snorts laughing

'' Banned  from the tavern? Lad he is banned from Tortuga.''  Will blinks startled and whips his head at them

'' What?!''
