LEARNING manners was like learning to steal all over again. You needed to be careful at the person clothes, appearance , facial expression, the eyes, voice intonation, the damn meaning at what they were looking at. But the biggest part was speaking ''proper English'' there was nothing proper about it, it was just boring, but Minnie was  resilient and wasn't accepting any mistake. It was harder then the letters and even sewing, hell he would take sewing any day over this. All he could focus was stealing food, lessons and doing errands for Minnie. Usually it wasn't that hard, more weird then anything. Taking a teapot, an empty one, wasn't something that he though he would ever do. From different pots, spoons to fucking underwear, shiny stones and all sort of trinkets (never food or alcohol).

After finally learning his table manners ( Stop using your fingers), Minnie makes him do an errand Put this in his drink, it's medicine snort yeah like I believe that   close to the Black Stars. 

Passing by ,after finishing his business he hears the gentles voice he ever heard. Sweet, clear with honeyed tones like the wind, a warm gentle breeze. Stopping, he stay unmoved listening to the music, trying to find the source. He gets closer to the big house and  ah! there! . It was a little girl, clean, with no shoes and a white dress, ( petite little thing). She has half-black half-white hair, parted on the right reaching her little waist, a small nose like a button, blue eyes like the clear sky... she was the prettiest being Lucius her ever seen. Before coming closer a man voice say 

'' Narcissa get back in the kitchen ! And shut up already!'' with a hurt and scared look in her eyes she left. 

He doesn't know how long he stayed there waiting for her to come back, when he left, the moon was already on the sky. Without caring he goes at Minnie.

Knock knock knock... BANG BAN-

Annoyed she opens the door.

'' What?''  more growl than anything

'' Please tell me all ye-you know about the Black Stars''

'' Oh for..!''  she takes him by his shirt and takes him in the house.  ''  Sleep there, I'm  telling you tomorrow and no talking. '' Minnie left before Lucius could say anything. He dreamed of the sea waves , her clear voice and mingled words.

 Next day Lucius wake up with the sun and waited until Minnie was coherent enough to talk.

'' OK ,  what did you want again?'' she said seating down at the shabby table

'' All you know about the Black Stars.'' 

'' .. Why would you want that even?''

'' I don't put question for any of my errands.''  he states

'' Hah! Fair ,fair. Ah.. let's see .. the Blacks come in Tortuga 3 generation ago from France, no one is sure why but because of it they own basically half of this island. Mm, all the women born there, work there, they don't get out. Cygnus that bastard has at least 7 children all girls, is rare for a male to be born there, they are obsessed with their business and soap. Don't interrupt me. Any girls born there that doesn't look like a Black , black hair, fair skin, grey eyes is sold in marriage with some English man or make slaves in the kitchens, it's pretty complicated with the marriage, on one hand they don't have any sexual teachings on the other they are measured every 3 months to have the right forms. Now I'm not telling more until you tell me what brought this on.''

'' I-I Think it was an angel she was singing so prettily and looking so peaceful then but she was on a porch in front of the Black Stars and someone called her in, but! but her name wasn't a star one and she was so pretty and tiny.'' he said smitten beyond measure , he didn't even talk with the girl and he was already sure she was the love of his live.

'' Ah young love, well puppy love. Still doesn't explain your sudden interest with that place, what you though you can get her out or what?''  His excitement diminished and his racing heart calmed.    True I'm just a nobody , literally. If what Minnie said is true then Narcissa is already promised or she will soon be and I .. Oh! Fuck it!   Looking at the women that tried to demolish his new love, he looks her in the eyes and with all the power a 10 years old can muster he say.

'' Ye are wrong  -Huh-  it isn't a puppy love it was like my soul was complete for the first time, like I would not be alone anymore, like I was having lighting in my veins and I was controlling a storm. I saw her and yes she was beautiful but she was scared her entire being screaming for help. If you think I'm too young to love like this I can assure you that girl will be my wife and she will be the happiest women on earth. And if ye think anyone would stop me from breaking her shackles than ye don't know who I am. Because I will set her free I will give her freedom doesn't matter how long it will take.'' breathing hard, a rabbit heart with tiny sparkles in his fist 

'' How would you get her out even?''

'' ...how did ye get out?'' a hiss of outrace from the women was his answer '' I'm not stupid Minnie no matter what ye think. Ye are out of that house from years I can see it but ye look like a Black. So?''

'' You insolent child, how dare you.'' she was seething with anger ,, chuckle but sure I tell you.  I make a suggestion.''

'' .. what?''

'' Suggestion child. I make it the same way you hide from your victims, or you are always warm in the harshest weather.'' she comes closer to his face '' Magic you fool, I'm a witch and you little beast are the same as me.''

,, I- I'm a what?'' 

,, You are a witch Lucius.''

THUD

A BREAKDOWN and fainting later Lucius wakes up on his cot in Minnie house. He doesn't get up or opens his eyes, he does what he knows best. He thinks at a plan.

Ok first of all Narcissa, we need to meet and talk gonna approach slowly though who knows how she is. Second the magic business.. not really surprised at last I'm not gonna call them ,,mist powers'' anymore. Third, Minnie, she is the most surprised of all this, I know she was a Black she looks like the rumors say a Black does but a witch? that something else. I need to know more about this before anything, who knows what she has on her sleeve. I will meet with Bill to talk about Black Stars and with Zira to find out any rumors about B.S. newest members there needs to be something about Narcissa with her looks. 

 Opening his eyes Lucius gets up and tries to find Minnie. She was in her small kitchen drinking for the first time since he know her , rum or ale.

'' Huh you didn't leave.''  and she actually looked surprised  crazy

'' I really hope ye didn't except me to leave so soon, you do have some explication to give.'' with a frustrated look on her face she puts the bottle down

'' Well? Sit down already. I will be clear I will not tell you how I get out of that house but I could help you with your magic. If you want more it will not be free.''

'' Deal. What you could teach me?''

'' A ball of light, how to open locked doors and how to put protection on some items. Those are free anything more will have a price.''

'' Deal.''

'' Good now go and steal some food for you beastie.''

Without further talking Lucius left the hose. The women sighed watching him go.

Meeting Bill was easy, he was always in the same spot every day until a certain hour. Making him investigate the Black house was harder, three days of promised food later Bill was already moving.

Finding Zira was simple if you know her, she was looking at a drunk waiting too pass out. Lucius was ready to put another three days of food in exchange for information, luckily she was so bored that accepted outright .

Finding about Blacks security and the younger members information was confirmed. Lucius runs back in the same spot he heard her last time and waits. Patience was a talent of his.

Seeing Narcissa for the second time should make him happy but he only feels anger for the one that put a violet spot on her cheek. She doesn't sing or cry her face doesn't have an expression but nevertheless Lucius approach her like a spooked animal.

'' Hello.'' be a gentleman Lucius

'' Ah!'' she panics and turns around tripping on her feet ,, Ow.''

'' Shit sorry sorry I scared ye oh Goddness you tripped are yer feet alright?  Ye hurt? Who I'm talkin' course ye are. I shouldn't sneak like that . Not like I was following ye or anythin' swear I was just p-''  giggling stops his nonsensical rambling ,, Hey..''

'' Hey..?''  Ah awkward silence exactly what I was trying to avoid. Direct approach then

'' I'm Lucius and ye are very pretty.'' she squeaks , turning a lovely shade of pink and say

'' I'm Narcissa It-It's lovely to meet you Lucius.''  ah that little smile will be the death of me

'' Oh trust me I'm the lucky one here. Do ye want to play a game with me?''

'' I like games! but .. I can't stay long, still have work to do.''

'' That's okay. What's your favorite flowers?'' 

'' Oh it's love-in-a-mist, it's a beautiful blue or violet flower.''

They talk, finding more about each other Lucius being mesmerized by her at every word and little Cissa just happy to finally have a friend. When Narcissa was called Lucius asked

'' Are ye safe there?''

'' I work in the kitchens, this hit was from father, don't worry! I don't usually see him so is not so bad.'' she tried to say more but the voice was insistent. Barely saying good bye they part ways.

 Walking like on a cloud Lucius goes back at Minnie. At her door he adopts a serious expression and opens the door. 

'' Oh, how did it work?''

'' It's a good beginning. Did ye say something about three spells free?'' He said with a mischievous smile. With a barking laugh she say

'' Let's see how your magic actually work beastie.''  the woman said smiling
