“Snoooooooooooooo,” Rose squealed pointing at the window from her high chair, where Hermione was trying to feed her.
She turned around and smiled. Rose had seen snow for the first time last year, but she was too young to actually be able to enjoy it.
“Oh, that’s right Rosie. Do you wanna go outside?”
“Yeeeeess!”
Just an hour later Hermione managed, with the help of Ron, to get Rose in her snowsuit and put on warm winter clothes as well. The snowfall had stopped at this point, but it had fallen long enough to create a light layer of snow on the ground. The backyard of the Granger-Weasley was small but just big enough for the family to be able to play outside.
Ron had taken the sleigh out of the shed next to their house and looked around before creating a small hill with his wand.
"Rosie, are you ready?"
Rose squealed in her mother's arms and wiggled herself out of Hermione's embrace. As she waddled towards her father, Ron picked her up and walked to the top of the hill. He put her on the sleigh and sat behind her. Ron pushed his feet into the ground and the pair made their way down the small hill.
The toddler was laughing and held onto Ron’s arms. Hermione watched them and smiled to herself. Moments like these made her realise how lucky she was. She watched her husband and daughter repeat their sleigh ride a few times before Rose's excitement died down and Ron sat her down in the snow to let her play.
He walked over to Hermione and put an arm around her waist, kissing her temple. His lips were cold but Hermione didn't care.
"She looks so happy," Hermione remarked.
"She is," Ron chuckled, "I doubt we can get her away from the snow any time soon."
"Let's have another one."
"What?"
"I said let's have another one," Hermione repeated.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes."
Ron didn't waste a second and picked Hermione up to spin her around. She laughed and hit him lightly on the back, "Let me down."
He did, but only to kiss her soundly on the mouth. When they pulled away Ron kept holding her face and he rubbed his nose gently against hers.
"I'll take that as a yes then?" Hermione whispered.
