meeting draco
when we got off the train he ignores me again. Harry was always good at that. I follow him, Ron, and Hermione anyway because I have no clue where I am going. when we get to the school it looks massive and scary like something from a horror movie. we walk into the building and a woman in black robes and a black witch hat stands at the top of the stairs we walk up. she explains that the first years have to be sorted into our houses. "before you can sit to eat you must be sorted into your houses. they are Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin," she says Slytherin as if it has a bad taste in her mouth.
when she leaves the blond boy who was watching me and harry finally speaks "so it's true then the potters have come to Hogwarts." he stands up straight. " this is Crabbe and Goyle" he starts walking towards us. "and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy". ron of course has to giggle at his name honestly Ron is so dumb. even though I have only met him on the train I know he is very dim. "think my names funny do you" Draco snaps. I have to admit I like this boy's attitude. " I won't bother to ask you yours. red hair and a hand me down rob you must be a weasely." I chuckle a little Draco smirks and glances at me before turning his attention to harry. "careful potter you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort" which harry has already done. "I can help you there," Draco says extending his hand. harry thinking he doesn't need the help, of course, says "I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thank you". I however am not stupid like harry and shake hands with Draco and say "hi, I'm Nikki Potter nice to meet you. you must excuse my brother he wouldn't know what the wrong sort was if it walked up and slapped him in the face." Draco laughs and this and my brother glares at me. "Mr. Malfoy, miss. potter," says the woman in black robes. draco goes back to Crabbe and Goyle. she then turns to the rest of the group and says that it is time for the sorting.
Draco gets into Slytherin. harry gets into Gryffindor. when it is my turn I want to be in Slytherin so bad that a whisper it to the hat which laughs and agrees sorting me into Slytherin. when I sit down I sit next to Malfoy. when we leave the great hall they teach us the password to get into the common room. they then show us to our dorms. when I come out of my dorm Draco introduces me to his other friends. "hi I'm pansy. I must say I did not expect a potter to be in Slytherin," pansy says "come on pansy lighten up. my names Blaise". the boy named Blaise says. "well stay away from Draco he's mine" pansy says. "shut up pansy I belong to no one and especially not you. Nikki is my friend so you have to be nice to her" Draco says. "thanks Draco" you say. you look over at the boy who hasn't introduced himself yet "what is your name" you ask the boy. "I'm theodore or Theo" theodore says. "nice to meet you Theo" you say. just then snape comes in and tells you all to go to bed so you all say good night to each other and go to your dorms.
