A Choice of Passion
The Tenshuaku is quiet that morning, Raiden Ei completely lost in her thoughts. Miko hasn't been visiting her as frequently as she did when she had first lifted the vision hunt decree. Is she mad at her? Ei doubts it. The pink fox had patiently waited for her for 500 years with little to no complaint. So what could possibly be stopping Yae from visiting?
Ei considers writing Miko a letter about her concerns, but doesn't want to come off as too attached. She decides to take a walk to clear her head, heading to the palace gardens. Most of the flowers planted in the garden are a dark purple, a tribute to her absolute rule. Ei sits down on a bench, lost in her own thoughts again, as she stares at some lavender growing under a beautiful cherry blossom tree.
Throughout this period of uncertainty for Ei, Lady Yae is currently sitting on the steps of her publishing house, eating the dango that Mizuki had (unfortunately) brought her yesterday. She had come so close to her face, whispering something that the fox lady couldn't pay attention to due to the baku’s proximity.
Miko had wanted nothing more than to pull the shorter woman into her lap, like she used to do when they were little. She shakes her head, telling herself to not indulge in such inappropriate fantasies.
In a desperate attempt to distract herself from her desires, she picks up a random drafted novel that was written by one of her authors. It was an “Eimiko” novel, of course. She sighs, her employees could never truly understand the one-sided nature of her relationship with the goddess of thunder.
Miko puts the book down, not wanting to reflect on such unhappy thoughts. She would much rather think of that annoyingly adorable baku over her complicated relationship with oh-so-mighty Miss Eternity.
