
Albus Dumbledore was not a good man. He made a lot of mistakes. He was responsible for killing a lot of good people. He was responsible for two entire wars. Both because of his hunger for power.
Once, he stopped his best friend and lover. Not until most of the damage had been done. Not until his lover went mad. Went mad from finishing what Albus helped to create. All in the name of greater good.
Once, he ruined a boy. He took “special interest” in a young boy with the name of Tom.
Once, he let Tom unleash a beat and kill a fellow student.
Once, he let another boy take blame for that. He “saved” the boy and gave him a life. He manipulated that boy forever.
Once, Dumbledore chose to start another war. One with the young boy Tom.
He manipulated an entire wizarding world. And he chose a group of people he took “special interest” in.
He took them in and he told them.
He told them THEY would win the war. He made them killers. And he killed them.

Once, after the man told the dark lord the part of the prophecy, Albus made a deal with the young man. A deal to “protect” the young man’s creepy life from death.

Once, Albus Dumbledore let a man he knew was innocent go to jail for the murder of his closest friends despite knowing Sirius wasn’t the secret keeper.
Once, Albus Dumbledore his a kid he orphaned in an abusive household despite a warning from Minerva Mcgonagal.
Once, Albus Dumbledore left Remus Lupin completely and utterly alone.
Once, Albus hid a powerful artifact in his school where the dark lord was hiding behind the face of another man.
Once, he made an obstacle course to the artifact in which the challenges were easy to get through and specific to 3 kids skill sets.
Once, he let the 3 kids face the dark lord.
Once, he pretended to care and not to know how such a thing could happen.
Once, he stole the house cup from a house that had worked hard to earn it and gave it to his favourite house.
Once, Albus let the beast be unleashed again.

Once, he let everybody beleive his special interest student was a monster and left said student in the dark when he knew the truth.
Once, he did nothing about hurt students who could have been dead.
Once, everyone found out a girl had been taken into an underground place and sent the incompetent fried to rescue her.
Once, his special interest students saved everyone again.
Once, Albus hired the werewolf he left alone and hurting for 12 years.
Once, he let his students get attacked by Dementors.
Once, he neglected to tell his special interest student the truth about the “crazy”(innocent) Azkaban escapee and why the special interest student had to “watch out” for the escapee more than others.
Once, he let one of his special interest students have access to a time turner. The exact thing that would fix everything in the end.
Once, he let the innocent man take a student and a traitor into a deadly tree.
Once, he let his other special interests follow him.
Once, he let them deal with the traitor who had been living in his school for many years.
Once, he told people to reverse time to fix something that was his fault.
Once, he gave an orphan false hope of a non-abusive family.
Once, Albus hosted a deadly tournament.
Once, he hired a disguised death eater.
Once, he let the death eater use unforgivable curses on his students, not only traumatizing them and abusing them, but opening I healed wounds for students who are orphaned because of his choices.
Once, he made an underage student participate in a deadly tournament.
Once, said underage student had to face Voldemort for the 4th time in his life. But this time, face to face where he was expected to defend himself.
Once, the underage student appeared in front of a crowd clutching to a body of another student, sobbing for him and his family. Sobbing for the pain he’d just faced. Sobbing for the rebirth of his enemy.
And nobody believed him.

Once, Albus did nothing about it.
Once, after months of ignoring him, Albus took his special interest student to con a man into teaching, who was a bias teacher and a scared man who wanted collections and wanted to hide, while Albus had ulterior motives.
Once, he went hunting for horcruxes.

Once, he gave a boy history lessons without telling him why.
Once, he made the boy manipulate his professor.
Once, he let another boy be used by the dark.
Once, he took his special interest student into a cave.
Once, in the cave, he made a boy feed him poison and get a dying man back to school.
Once, he let death eaters into the castle.
Once, he made somebody kill him while his special interest student watched.
Once, he died and set a course for a war.
Once, he traumatised his special interest student some more.
Once, 3 teenagers left everybody behind, went into hiding and tried to find horcruxes they knew nothing about, all in Albus’ name.
Once, their friendship strained.
Once these teenagers got captured and taken to the very place the dark lord lived.
Once, a teenager unknowingly took the elder wand from another teen who didn't know he had it.
Once, a teenager became a master of death.
Once, 3 teenagers were in a mission.
Once, 3 teenagers rode a dragon.
Once, 3 teenagers entered a ruined, torturous hogwarts though Albus’ brother’s bar.
Once, a war broke out.
Once, a boy met one of his most hated adults and forgave him while the adult died.
Once, a boy found out the truth.
Once, a boy found out he was raised just to die.
Once, a teenager accepted that.
Once, he said goodbye to his friends and told them to kill a snake.
Once, he got killed.
Once, a mother lied.
Once, a teenager cheated death again.
Once, an underdog sliced a snake in half with a sword.
Once, a boy dukes the most powerful wizard on earth.
Once, a boy ended the war.
Once, the last Marauder fell.
And it was Albus Dumbledore’s fault.
And the ghosts of his past reminded him of that for all of eternity.
Lily demanded that when the time came, Albus had to explain to the children why it happened.
The hurt.
The death.
The tragedy.
The blame.
He was to explain to Harry’s generation the pain and embarrassment he put their parents though.
And when the time came, he didn’t need to.
For Harry and the rest had realised it. They knew. They were his legacy and he had failed them.
All of them.
All of the wizarding world.
Rightfully so, there was never a peaceful moment for Albus Dumbledore in his death.
Regulus.
Marlene.
Dorcas.
Lily.
James.
Sirius.
Remus.
Tonks.
Fred.
Minerva.
Kingsley.
Arthur.
Molly.
Harry.
Hermione.

And all of his victims.
They screamed in their death.
They mourned for the life they lost.
Not their death, but the life they spent under his thumb.
