It May Happen, If At All Possible

It's safe to say that over the years, Fred's obsession with the young blonde never faltered. If anything, it only got stronger.

Dreams of the blonde haunted him all the way through the war. Sexual dreams, romantic dreams, dreams of a life that would likely never come true.

He survived the war, barely. Sometimes he wanders how anybody could be sad. He couldn't help but think 'They all lived didn't they?' Then he remembers all the people they all lost.

Sirius Black

Nimphadora Tonks

Prof. Remus Lupin

The Creevy brothers

He thinks about how Teddy Lupin will grow up without his Mum and Dad like Harry did. How it could of been somebody he was close to, somebody he truly cared about with his entire being.

The trials that followed after the war weren't much better. Many, many secrets were discovered about almost every purebood family. Like how the Goyles used there son as a spy to watch Draco Malfoy's every move. Anything un-Malfoy-like would be reported through letter so that Lucius Malfoy could take care of it. And by take care of it I mean beat the shit out of his kid simply because he didn't win another quidditch match, or he didn't wear as expensive clothes on weekends as he did on the weekdays.

There was a lot that was found out about the Malfoy family. The abuse, the neglect, the torture.

There was a lot that was found out about the Black family as well. Like how for generations the people in that family wore glamours to appear white, but in reality for almost four generations on Narcissa Malfoy's side of the family, every person married a Japanese Veela. A Japanese Veela is a highly dangerous sub species of Veela, they are also extremely rare and are usually studied as if they are uncivilized creatures. During the late 1600's, they were almost completely wiped out of existence, with maybe only a hundred or so families left.

In court, Narcissa Malfoy took off her glamours and revealed what she really looked like. Almost immediately, every one in the room was enchanted by her beauty. The Aurors had to stop multiple people from freeing her from the chains that bound her to the chair before the Ministry of Magic.

She explained how it started as her grandmother falling in love with a Japanese Veelan man, her grandfather, and how she was terrified that her family would disown her. So instead, she put glamours on her lover so he would appear to be a white, pureblood man. They did the same things with their kids, who all married Japanese Veela, and then their kids. Anybody who refused to lie about who they are were outcast from the family. Such as Andromeda Tonks, who refused to marry some rich pureblood man and married for love instead. And how when her and Bellatrix Lestrange we're up next to be married, they married pureblood men to keep up with appearances to make sure no one would suspect the family secret.

Mrs. Malfoy talked about how for the first 6 years of her son's life, they lived in a suburb of Tokyo, Japan. She was hiding from her abusive husband in fear that he would kill what he called his 'disgrace of a child'. That was until he found them when she was picking up Draco from school and literally dragged them away. She explained how Draco didn't even know fluent English until a month before his first year at hogwarts. How Lucius Malfoy wasn't always abusive, only after he found out that his wife, the mother of his only child, wasn't a pureblood witch did the fights and the hitting start. She broke down in the middle of explaining all of the horrible things he did to her and her son anytime they weren't the 'Ideal Malfoy Family'. How he used to call them savages and monsters nonstop, how he would make them feel like caged animals.

This only drove Fred to wanting to be with Draco more. Wanting to protect him from the evil sperm donor he called a father. Wanting to make him smile and laugh.

Fred had only seen Draco Malfoy smile, not smirk, smile maybe once in his entire life. It was right after him and George had pulled off the biggest prank of their lives and ruined Professor Umbitch's test. They were outside making the 'Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes' logo when Fred looked down at just the right time to see the blonde smiling brightly up at the fireworks display. Fred almost fell off his broom right then and there. It was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.

He dreamt of that smile every night through the war. He Dreamt of it after the war to. He was determined to wake up next to the person that can make that gorgeous smile everyday for the rest of his life. There was only one problem.

He was a Weasley.

And Draco was a Malfoy.

His family would likely disown him for the mere thought of dating him.

That's why no one could know. Except George. He knew. He always knew. Even when it was annoying, George was always there for Fred, just like Fred will always be there for George.
