Chapter 8

J. Finch Fletchley spends the rest of his second year asleep, but not dreaming. He’s not quite here, but not quite gone- in limbo, in an icy cold state of just a hint of consciousness. 

When he finally wakes up, finally returns back to himself, he is alone in the hospital wing, tightly tucked into the sheets.

And maybe because he’s a Puff, or because he’s naturally naive and trusting, or because he’s a child, but he doesn’t hold it against any of them. He doesn’t blame a single Puff, or harbor an ounce of resentment for any of them.

Especially not Cedric.
