one night a few moons ago, i saw flecks of what could've been lights
Pandora liked to think that she was an average singer. Nothing special but good enough to please her friends and family.
Which is why when she was driving to work, a small café in new york, the last thing she expected was multiple frantic text messages from her best friends and agents, Evan and Barty.
Barty: panda turn on your radio
Barty: DORA
Barty: HURRY UP
Barty: RADIO ONE NOW
Barty: ????
Evan: pandora
Evan: you're trending on twitter
Evan: just thought id let you know
Evan: +your song is playing on radio one rn
Her heart stops for a second, but she slowly moves her hand towards her radio and turned it on. Her vocals were immediately recognisable and her heart stopped for a second time within a minute. How was Evan so calm about this???? He's absolutely mental. Her voice faded and was replaced by the one of Sirius Black, the radio host.
"Wow, that is the new hit song 'cinnamon girl' by overnight success, Pandora Lestrange. The song is now number two on the charts, close to overtaking 'Mr perfectly fine' by the music sweetheart lily evans. I cant wait to listen to the rest of the songs on Lestrange's new album! Next up on radio one is......"
The voice subsided as she turned down the volume of the radio and the car became silent, before she let out a sigh of relief, although it was soon interrupted as her phone rang and she was greeted by a high pitched squeal emitting from the other end.
"Hello to you too Barty" she laughed fondly, unable to help the soft smile that slipped onto her face at the sound of his excitement.
"You'll NEVER guess what just happened!" Following this is a stream of excited babbles and the sound of the phone promptly being snatched out of Barty's hand.
"We just finished a phone call with James Potter, and he wants to set up a tour with one of his clients" Evan speaks slowly and calmly, even though you can hear his thrilled undertone.
James Potter is one of the most famous talent agents in the country. He represents the big names, although he's famous for being in a band himself.
This is a big deal. Her insides are squirming around with anxiety and she hesitates before speaking, "What client?"
Barty continues to squawk and shriek feverishly in the background and Evan cooly responds,
"Lily Evans."
