Note
Hello lovelies! I am back with another ficlet or whatever you wanna call it. I wrote this on my notes app on my phone which is crashing on me so if there are any spelling mistakes or whatever please ignore it (unless it's like unreadable then please tell me bc I understand the frustration of trying to read a fic with shit grammar). Anyways I don't think there ere any TW's for this fic but if there is something that you find triggering please tell me.Minor TW:-Alcohol use/abuse

The music was thumped loudly in the background but all Pansy was focused was the curly haired Gryffindor who was getting spun around by her red headed bestfriend. Hermione was laughing about something Ron had said which must of been hilarious because her smile lines were prominent on her pale face.

Pansy desperatly wished she hadn't broken things off with the younger girl but she knew she was falling and they were never gonna last. At the rate which she was falling, fast, even if Hermione did catch her, her arms would've tired eventually. So Pansy did what she dreaded most, and took the cowards way out and broke things off.

She could feel Draco's eyes boring into the side of her head, they had decided to come to the Yule ball together but she was surprised he was looking at her so vigoursly and not the blasted scar-faced boy. "What?" she snapped, getting tired of the blonds eyes boring into her neck.

"You love her don't you?" Draco mumbled, knowingly. "That's why you broke it off because you were falling for her."

"I'm going to get some punch, do you want some?" Her mask dropped for a second, but she managed to keep her composure.

"No, but don't pick up a drink and then sneak back to the dorm. If you're gonna wallow in self-pity we might as well do it together." Draco replied.

She glided over to the drinks table hoping to grab a bottle of fire-whiskey or two to take back to her dorm. She knew it was selfish of her to do exactly what Draco advised her what not to do but she needed to escape this hollow feeling. She didn't like it and she needed it to go away. Now.

She decided drinking alone in an empty dorm room was a but extra when she was halfway down to the dungeons and turned back around and climbed up to the astronomy tower. She didn't know why it comforted her so much but something about being depressed among the stars seemed to sooth her sorrows temporarily.

The cold cobblestone floors were always a pain to sit on without a thick blanket between her and her viridian ball gown. She really wanted an A-line dark green lace gown for the Yule ball but her mother insisted she wear a ball gown. She would never admit it to her mother, but it did suit her figure quite well. Once she was comfortable she took her first gulp of firewhiskey, which burned her throat. She questioned how long it would take for someone to realise she was missing, Draco probably had but he probably resigned himself to the fact that she went back to the dorms meaning it was pointless trying to go find her. That would give her atleast twenty five more minutes of drinking in pea-

"Hey," someone softly spoke from the doorway. She turned her head and saw that it was the girl she'd been dreaming out for days. Hermione. Her lilac dress hit her curves in all the right places, her curls fell out of her carefully formed in an artistic way which made Pansy want to stare forever at the younger girls face.

"Hey," she croaked out. "What do you want?"

"To talk." Hermione said.

"Ok," she replied and took another swig of firewhiskey. "But your gonna need to sit down for this one." Pansy tapped the worn down cobbles beside her signalling to Hermione to come and sit down beside her. She didn't. She took a seat directly opposite Pansy and with the sun practically gone the only lighting they had was the moon, which was clouded over for the most part, so Pansy couldn't even see the beautiful girls face.

"Where shall we start then?" Hermione posed, lifting her head up from the bent over position she previously held it in.
