Chapter 28
Two days later Hermione pov
Standing with everyone I glance back looking past London to the world I learned about at 11.
It use to be something I thought of fondly but thinking about it now I see the truth, the rose colored lenses were ripped away by my so called Best Friends.
Looking at the group with me Ginny, Luna, McGonagall, and Fleur holding bags they were the only ones that stood true.
Looking at Draco and his friends I see them in a different light, I'm not sure why so many are coming, but he looks happy so his mothers look happy making me happy.
"Come on Hermione, your parents are expecting you and we've done what we can it's up to them now" Emma says putting her arm around me leading me to follow them to the plane.
Landing in America I follow my family out seeing a woman standing by a van dressed in small short shorts and a shirt that shows most of her stomach with red strips in her hair.
Seeing Cooks head pop up in the window he moews before looking at the woman who chuckles shaking her head "not happening Crooks" she says glancing at him.
"Hey Red" Emma says before hugging the woman.
She greets her before looking at me "you must be Hermione, I'm Ruby but everyone calls me Red" she says smiling at me.
Nodding I hold my hand out to her but she pushes past it hugging me "alright let's get back home, Granny wants Crooks back in time for his shift".
"His shift?" I ask confused while we get in the van.
"Yeah, Granny lets him patrol the diner, if someone starts getting to loud or something he makes them calm down, he got a job after he beat Grumpy's ass for starting a fight over him killing one of Snow White's swan friends"
Feeling him hop in my lap I grunt before hugging him "you got heavier" I say softly.
"He gets to eat at the diner for work and the few kids there give him food as well, he likes Bacon on vanilla ice cream best but that's only given as a reward when he handles something that really annoys granny"
Nodding I watch as we head down an old highway eventually coming to a stop, I looking around confused as Ruby pulls out a small scroll reading from it before a town appears in the distance.
Reaching the town I look around seeing it looks peaceful "don't believe the appearance it's not always peaceful, but when there's not problems it's not bad" Lily says leaning over the back of my seat.
Nodding I see we've parked near a restaurant, climbing out I pick up Crooks following everyone inside.
I see my parents glaring at a group who stands near their table with an older woman between them pointing a cross bow at the group.
Making my way over I push past them before hugging my parents after sitting Crooks down.
"Why are you bringing in so many outsiders" the woman demands.
Seeing her looking at Regina I frown feeling her hand on her hip pressing her elbow into my stomach, pushing her slightly I take a breath "you should leave, I want to talk with my family without you around" I say.
"No, the Evil Queen needs to answer why she's bringing in outsiders" the woman says raising her voice.
"Because I'm Maleficent's daughter and this is my family now get out"
She frowns looking at me, seeing her shaking slightly I keep my face blank mimicking Snape as I sneer at her "I have no interest in listening to your moronic rants of good or evil, I can let Bella free to play with you she does enjoy hearing screams of pain" I say while motioning to Bella holding her dagger with a manic smile.
"Itty bitty princess needs her face fixed" Bella coos stepping closer till she's pinned to the wall, I watch as she lifts her dagger not quite touching her face yet while acting like she's dragging it across it "yes, Auntie Bella could make it so pretty, cut back your large ears, widen your smile, and that nose" Bella tisks shaking her head "I can make it less like a pig".
"Bella if you're giving make overs the shepherd needs one as well, he looks far to feminine" Cissa says while looking around like shes bored.
Glancing back to Ginny I see her hugging the Weasley family book and looking around.
Getting Emma's attention after she gets Snow and her group out I nod to Ginny "take her to find Anastasia Tremaine please, I'm sure we can handle any problems" Emma nods before leading Ginny away.
Ginny pov
Following Emma to a house near the diner she knocks on the door waiting a moment but not getting an answer.
I watch as she squats down messing with the door and frown seeing her sticking two thin metal things in it before the door opens.
"Wellness check" she calls out leading me further in.
Coming to a room I look around seeing a chair near the window facing away from us.
"You may leave now sheriff I'm still alive" I hear a voice say softly.
"I took a trip to get my final sister and learned something interesting about you" Emma says holding her hand out for the book.
Handing it to her I watch as she quickly flips to the page about her baby before moving around showing her the page.
"Your daughter survived and had a family, I've brought your very great granddaughter to meet you"
Staying back I watch her turn the pages before sighing "I know it's not the same as your baby, but your granddaughter wants to know you" Emma says softly placing her hand on hers.
Seeing her lean around the chair looking at me I wave smiling slightly before she stands up coming around to me, I grunt feeling her grab my face in her hands "you look like me when I was teenager" she says softly.
Getting her to let go I glance at Emma "I'm friends with Emma and Lily's sister Hermione, my girlfriend and I came with them after I turned on my family".
"Turned on them?" She ask frowning.
"They tried to kill Hermione, I killed my brother for setting the attack into motion, Hermione tried to talk me out of it but I refused, she finally gave in and let me".
"She's a witch and a strong one as well" Emma says chuckling.
Seeing her looking at me I nod blushing "top of my age class but Hermione was named brightest witch of her generation".
