Walking in I see Bellatrix lying on the couch in the snuggie with a muggle book on sea creatures she looks up holding it up to me "I'm getting this She-ark".
I frown looking at the book "A Shark Bellatrix and why would you get a Shark?"
She tilts her head looking at the book "I will train it to carry me along the water and attack on command."
I hear a snort and see Lily coving her mouth "that is fucking awesome, Mom, do you think it can be done?"
Ma hums looking at us "Well it's possible, if Cruella and Ursula helped it could be done".
I look at her frowning while hearing the kids running through the manor again "You mean that chain-smoking chick with a dog obsession and the heavy-set purple-skinned, butch Cecaelia?"
Emma and Lily laugh looking at me "Oh my god that was my first thought when I found out she was real" Emma says as she takes a few breaths and sighs "you're kind of right Cruella is a chain smoker but not obsessed with dogs and Ursula is a Cecaelia but on land she's a woman with hair mid-back she doesn't look butch she's very beautiful".
I huff waving her off "Next you'll tell me that Shego is real".
Emma frowns tilting her head "That's very possible I ended up in the Enchanted Forest at one point, Oz, and The Land of Untold Stories so it's possible she is real in another realm".
I look at her and twitch slightly "Okay I'm going to look into realm jumping, then I'm going to find that plasma-throwing sarcastic thief and I'm getting a photo with her somehow and I want to see if I can make Dr. Draken yell you think you're all that but your not" I laugh as Emma holds her hand out "nice I'm in"
I see Ma watching us smiling when I think of something "Hey you said muggle children born with magic are produced by true love magic right?"
She nods "That is correct yes".
I frown pushing Bellatrix's legs off the couch and sit down ignoring when she throws them back on me "OK well if it's true love why are some no longer together shouldn't it be forever?"
Ma sighs moving to a chair to sit shaking her head "True love is not a guarantee of happily ever after or forever, like I said true love is mutual attraction with someone as a perfect balance to you but it's like any relationship it needs works, compromise, understanding, and must be mutual, both have to put in the work if you don't the relationship won't work and love can die even if you still care for each other".
I nod tilting my head "That makes more sense it's more realistic and helps with making the obsession of hearing some things over and over easier".
Lily comes up putting her arm around my shoulders "Oh but baby sister we can't leave you with a relaxed mind yet, we have a few things about our lives as dragons that will just complicate and confuse again".
I glare at her seeing her smirk at me, before Ma speaks up again "You are immortal dragons like myself, your other parent is a goddess that was drawn to my darkness, but that means if your mates pass away you will meet another in a century, how ever your true mate will be immortal or can be turned immortal like yourself and will be shifters".
I groan rubbing my temples "Why can't anything ever be simple in my life".
Hearing laughing I look up seeing Regina, Zelena, and Narcissa talking and laughing before hearing Zelena ask "So what all can you and your sisters do? we heard she wasn't very powerful".
Narcissa nods "She had some magic but not enough to do more than house spells such as cleaning and some protection spells, she did pass on that we come from shifters with immorality that is accessed when our magic is fully unlocked, we haven't been able to yet but we have higher senses than most magic users".
Regina nods looking interested "What senses do you all have?"
Narcissa smiles "Bellatrix in battle can detect spells before they're cast, people have said it looks like she's two people, she can wield two wands in battle and cast multiple spells simultaneously, she can see past any glamour and poly juice, as well as smell them before seeing the person, she plays the insane devoted follower as a cover, Andy can detect any lie, if she puts up a protection shield it's impenetrable, she can hide in plain sight so she plays the meek weak housewife but she's a spy in Bumblefuck's order, her daughter Nymphodora is a Metamorphmagus that's a shifter whose abilities are visual her hair changes colors, she can change her looks to look like anyone or anything, she's a spy as well, her natural clumsiness and laid back personality helps her hide in plain sight like her mother so both are underestimated".
Bellatrix looks up cackling "Narcissa hides in plain sight as well she plays the part of a sister who's upset her big sisters are divided, pissed her sister picked someone not pureblood and abandoned her family while also playing the devoted sister trying to save her big sister from insanity, who has deluded herself into believing she can save them both and have her family back, she has a strategic mind, she plans moves at least five steps ahead and covers all possibilities, we all three have a main Animagus form but can use others, each other's forms, and alter the appearance slightly so we are unregistered".
I see Ma frown "What is an Animagus?"
"That's what they call shifters here, the group I thought were my friends had a few in it, the most notable are a professor and their golden boy Harry's godfather, I thought them turning into a cat and dog was impressive back then but mine is so much better"
Mother scoffs shaking her head "I can see how that would be impressive if you have little to no knowledge of shifters but, those are weak forms of shifting it's a learned spell not a true shift".
I nod seeing her point "Where are Henry and Raven?" I ask.
Emma looks at me smiling "outside in the garden again".
