Sirus stood at the top of the conference table eager to start. As Remus and James entered, James looking extremely pale he began.
"Right as we know only Black family members with a certain level of pure Black blood can become a leader. The list has narrowed over the years to where we are now. Orion and Walburga have stepped down scratching them off the list which leaves: Cygnus Black, Andromenda Tonks, Alphard Black, Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa Malfoy, Sirius Black and Regulus Black."
Sirus's voice trembled a little at the last two names before continuing.
"Cygnus Black is married to Druella Black née Rosier. Together they have three daughters Bellatrix, Andromenda and Narcissa. Despite his profile he is considered unlikely to be the next leader because of his age which is approaching mid sixties. Alphard Black is estranged from the family due to his sexuality. He is in his seventies and is considered highly unlikely to be the leader."
"Bellatrix Lestrange is the oldest daughter. She is married to Rodolphus Lestrange of the Lestrange family and they share no children to our knowledge. Their marriage was largely viewed as political. Bellatrix is deeply involved in the buisness and is considered likely to be the leader. She is in her thirties.
Andromenda Tonks is married to Ted Tonks and they share one daughter Nymphadora Tonks. Andromenda is estranged due to her marrying an African American Jewish lawyer. She is considered highly unlikely to be the leader. She is in her early thirties.
Narcissa Malfoy is the youngest sister and is married to Lucius Malfoy. They share no children to our knowledge. Narcissa is known to be a socialite amongst some of the most powerful women in the country. Narcissa is in her late twenties. Narcissa has no record but is likely involved in the family business. She is considered a possibility for leader."
Sirius stopped for a moment taking a breath before clicking onto the next slideshow and watching his face flash up.
"Sirius Black is the oldest son of Orion and Walburga. He has been estranged since he was 18 and is considered unlikely to be leader. Regulus Black is youngest son of Walburga and Orion Black. Regulus is a favourite in the family as he is the only remaining male heir. Regulus is on his early twenties and is considered the most probable leader."
The team glanced at each other as James studies the grainy photo of the man on the large screen. Even from the poor quality of the photo it was clear that this man, Regulus was very attractive. In fact James thought thinking back to the previous slides they were all very good looking.
As James sat musing Lily and Marlene stood up, Lily clutching a tablet connecting with the screen. "Known contacts of the Black family have all been suspiciously quiet in the past two weeks however before that there was lots of activity from both the Doholovs and the Notts." The girls didn't really have much to say as their search had turned up mostly blank.
"Why didn't we know about them going silent before this?" Remus asked leaning forwrd on his forearms.
For the first time Marlene looked distinctly uncomfortable. "As we have been assisting other units on cases they were labelled as a non-priorty."
"Hm." Was all Remus said but it was obvious from his tense shoulders and furrowed brows that he was not happy.
Mary stood quickly from her chair to deliver her results. " No DNA, no fingerprint, no fibres nada. The only fingerprints were Potter's" James flushed glancing away at the door and the reminder of his mistake. Mary sat down abruptly her usual cheerful face glum.
Remus nodded before informing the team of the results of his and James's investigation. "Electrician says freak accident knocked all the cameras so we've got nothing." James turned waiting for Remus to continue on about the supposed rat but Remus didn't. "Alright team it'd been a long day, go home all of you."
As the others filed out of the meeting room. James was left alone frozen in place as he now knew that Remus suspected someone in the very room of being a spy.
hey yall I know its short but oh well. i just wanted to get the background of the family out of the way so hopefully we will meet new family members soon.
