What a fine day it was indeed for the Byte Academy, the sun was shining through each corridor from each window, the trees swaying from the summer breeze, students filling up the school ground, yet there was one thing missing. The noise. Students come to campus with loud chatter, and laughter, but today seems to be different. The youth clad in their uniforms were either serious, and or in literal shambles. But Why..?
Suddenly a loud echo from the school microphone arose. Taps were heard from the mic, tapping once, twice, thrice before a faint voice had spoken “Good morning students! I hope each and everyone of you are in tip top shape, and excited for today! Please change into your combat uniform, because today is Exam day!” a faculty member said with full energy, and soon after, the mic turns off.
Students were nervous, some were calm and collected, while most? Not so much. Today was their exams for their Combat Class, which was the worst because today, they collaborated with Close ranged and Long ranged.
Students then began flooding the hallway, some were taking deep breaths as they went over to their lockers, some were hyping themselves, patting themselves on the shoulder, some were trying their best to relax themselves and try to not think much of the exam, while some? Oh, they're losing their minds!

A lavender haired with light green yellow ends on their hair, internally panicking. Exams were always nerve-wracking for them, since they are a collaboration of close combat and long ranged combat.
"I'M DOOMEEEDDDDDDD" the lavender haired yelled in their mind as they were in front of their locker.
That's Tuse, Pronoun:They/Them, a 2nd Year
A silly individual who loves to eat cookies 24/7, and even offers you their cookies. They are the type of person who you easily trust. They are often seen hanging around with Kyouka, due to their lack of preparation for a test last year, thus starting their silly friendship there. They also hangout with August during break times, and always run back to the 2nd year area before the bell rings. They are cannon wielder, with enough electrical powers, they are able to shoot out electric beams, which take note their cannon is two times their size. How are they able to carry it in their bag? Magic of course! They are able to fire a strong electric source from their cannon, and were able to get the hang of it throughout their fir1st year.

Tuse heaved a sigh as they made a teary eye look, holding their cookie bag as they closed their locker when suddenly, they got a pat on the back.
A soft laugh was heard, and when Tuse turned their head to see who it was, it was someone with colorful charms all over their outfit, hood on as they were laughing softly at Tuse, seeing their teary eyed look on their face.
That's August, Pronoun: They/Them, a 1st Year
An individual who is calm and collected. Just don't talk about schoolworks, in their head they want to go home. The type of person who seems to be very approachable and easy to befriend, with their colorful charms around their outfit, and love for doodling, someone could very well be able to talk about a lot of stuff by befriending them! Always the one you can count on for stuff, such as mints, fans and sanitizers. They're the type of person who just wants to have fun, and think less about the stressful stuff. Their specialty is creating illusions based on electricity, and for their handheld weapon, they use a sniper rifle. They are able to materialise weapons at their own will.

August said as they patted tuse's shoulder more.
"BUT BUT, you know that I'm not really great with long range!! I haven't even practiced any close ranged weapons or anything, and honestly, I'm still surprised that I passed 1st year with my big cannon!" Tuse exclaimed, explaining how they haven't mastered any close combat weapons yet, and how they mostly rely on their long range weapons for now.
"I get that, and honestly, it is quite hard to identify which close combat you're good at, especially with how you're used to long range already, but don't go wondering why you passed! I've seen how you handle your weapon, and you're good at it!" August cheered Tuse up, and admired how Tuse could carry such a big heavy weapon, and how they are capable of using it.
"BUT, I-" Before Tuse gets to say any word, August grabbed a piece of cookie, and shoved it in Tuse's mouth.
"Quit yapping and relax, Tuse." August said as they knew that cookies help Tuse to relax. Tuse nomming on the cookie as they heaved a deep sigh. August was right, it helped Tuse relax.
Suddenly a faint laughter was heard from the hallway, both Tuse and August turned their heads, a familiar female voice, shoes tapping from the hallway as she made her way to the two students. "I knew you would be nomming on your cookies after the school microphone reminded the students about today's exam"
It was a dark blue haired female with light blue highlights on the ends of her bangs.
"How are you holding up, Tuse? Hi August" She asked, and soon after waved at august with a big smile on her face.
"Kyoukaaaaaa" Tuse replied in a saddened tone.
That's Kyouka, Pronoun:She/Her, a 2nd Year
A friendly 2nd year who's always willing to help anyone, often quiet but when comfortable, she yaps 24/7. Mostly hangs out with Tuse as they met when they were struggling with their test last year. Her weapon is she carries a handle, and is able to control electricity with the help of her hair clip, a small yet powerful chip installed inside a small hair clip that helps her to control electricity, she is able to turn that handle into an electric whip. With the help of her gloves, she can freely turn her whip into a slingshot that helps her with long range, creating a small rounded electric ball as her bullets. She absolutely sucks at long range.

"I feel like I'm gonna be sick!!!" Tuse said as they continue to eat more cookies to relax themselves.
Meanwhile, on the other side, there was a white haired female. Hyping herself up, and was jogging in one position to boost her adrenaline up.
"You got this, I believe in you" She said to herself in her mind. " You've been doing this for years, and you've improved a lot. You can ace this combat exam!" She continues to hype and cheer herself on.
That's Chiyeol, Pronoun:She/Her, a 3rd Year
An individual who seems to be serious with her schoolwork, They are very shy and a little quiet at first yet surprisingly very easy to befriend. When comfortable, she absolutely loves to talk. She is always joyful, and always loves to give compliments to her friends. Due to a lot of usage of her powers, it left quite a lot of lightning scars on her body.
Their powers are able to summon lightning or thunder at any weather, and use the power of electrokinesis. While in lightning mode, her agility speeds up. Her main weapon is summoning a lightning sword or thunder sword at will or she could use her hands as her main weapon. Throughout her highschool years, she's been training to master both close and long range, although she hasn't fully mastered close range, she adapted more on the longer range. With her quick thinking, she could summon her powers in no time, so watch out!

"You got this Chiyeol" she said to herself in her mind as she looked at her reflection on her mirror locker.
Suddenly a female voice was heard. "Hyping yourself up. I suppose?" she said with a big smile on her face, Chiyeol turned her head and stopped jogging, taking a deep breath as she smiled back at the female that was in front of her. It was a Black haired female with a purple gradient on the ends of her pigtails.
“Oh! Hi, Are you ready for your exams?” Chiyeol said
That's Speed, Pronoun: She/Her, a 1st Year
A chaotic gremlin who strives to befriend every single student on campus, she's very sweet, and the type of person to say hello to everyone she encounters in the hallway. She carries a knife as her main weapon, and has one of her hands bandaged from issues while she trained. Despite her not having any electrical powers and cute appearance, she is quite skilled with her weapon. Her agility and knowledge of skills are quite frightening! Best to keep an eye on her before she disappears in a blink of an eye. She and Chiyeol met a month ago, it took Speed a lot of weeks before Chiyeol got comfortable with her, but Speed didn’t mind as Chiyeol was always fun to talk to after Chiyeol got comfortable.

“Honestly, I'm quite nervous.. I don't know if I'll do great-..” Speed said in a worried tone, she held her hands together as she was nervous for her exam, since it's a collaboration between close and long range. She only has one she can rely on, and that is close range. She hasn't fully mastered any long range weapons or anything at all.
Chiyeol then placed her hand on speed's shoulder. “Hey, you got this! Weren't we training just a little while ago? You improved a lot from the tips and tricks I taught you about!” She then patted her shoulder.
“You're right, I'll do my best!! Thanks Chiyeol!”
With that the bell rang, and a reminder was set.
The mic turned on again, taps were heard until a faint voice was heard from the school speaker. “Attention students, please go to the changing room and change into your combat uniform. Kindly take care of your weaponry, and remember that usage of it outside the field would have a deduction. Good luck and have fun with this examination! We are all so proud of you for doing your best”, and with that the school speaker transmission came to an end.
Students then began heading to the changing room to change into their Combat uniforms, and grabbing their weaponry, or preparing their abilities.
After each student had finished changing, they headed to the field.
For this examination, it’s mixed with different years. 1st years, 2nd years, and lastly, 3rd years. This method was only applied a few semesters ago, this is also a way for each student to be able to face different wielders and users, and to test their abilities and capabilities, while being a way for teachers to see how students can improve with their abilities, and how they can adapt when facing different opponents with different abilities.
Mixing the years together also helps create friendship, and be able to teach one another tips and tricks for them to be able to use their abilities and weapons in the best possible way.
Students are then split into groups that were assigned to them, and will be held by different professors. After the group is divided into groups of mixed years, professors will then go to their assigned group and proceed with the examination.
For this group, the assigned professor was—
“Well, would you look at that! This is quite an interesting group indeed” The two toned haired chuckled and was very intrigued to see how this group is filled with interesting students.
That’s Neko, Pronoun: They/Them, Instructor of Close and Far Combat
They are mostly unserious and silly most of the time, and can get along with students very well if they don’t misbehave, but when it comes to their class, their aura changes, as they begin to be more serious. They are very strict with their rules, and dislike it when students tend to break them. Once they catch a student breaking their rules, they will immediately be immobilized, and disarm them. You can goof around, but make sure to strictly follow neko’s rules!

“Alright, I know you all know how my rules work, and I expect you all to follow them. I don’t want to see anyone messing around with their abilities and weapons when it isn’t their turn yet, failing to follow the rules will come with consequences. Once I catch you doing so, you will have a deduction from your examination, and will be disarmed and or be immobilized. Are we clear?” from his goofy tone to a sudden serious tone, neko glances at every student that was in the group.
“Yes!” the students shouted.
“Keep this in mind. First, Make sure that if you think you can’t handle it anymore, say the safe word ‘bytes’ and don’t push yourself any longer, as this could cause you a bad injury. There won’t be any deductions, your exam points will be based on how well you performed in combat, and how capable you are to handle your abilities and weapons. If you are wounded, or have any injury, you will be sent to the nurse office, Ghost will be tending to your wounds as the examination continues.
Second, Absolutely no cheating. Do not use any other harmful weapons that aren't powered by your electricity, aside from the weapon you wrote down in your information paper, No using of potions, especially those that could badly harm students. Lastly, this is strictly a 1v1 only, no one is allowed to gang up and such. You students will only have around 5 minutes to face one another, Got that?” Neko added as they wanted to make sure that the students don't go too overboard with this examination.
Neko clasped their hands together as they smiled. “Now! Since I was given a list of students that was assigned in my group, I will be picking randomly on which students will be facing one another. Kindly take a seat on the grass as you wait for your names to be called, and go to the middle here where I am standing once it's your turn” Neko lowered their head, placed their index finger on the paper, scanning through each student's names on the clipboard.
“Hm… Oh! I almost forgot” Neko turned their head to the students. “Since there’s only 11 students in this group, a lucky student will go against me! Exciting, right?” Neko smiled widely and chuckled cheekily as they turned their head to scan the paper again.
Students were even more nervous because they know how tough neko is when they are the opponent.
“You and you, both of you will go first” Neko said as they pointed at the chosen students.
The dark purple haired female with pink gradient on the ends of her hair and ears got up, Excited to showcase her abilities in front of everyone, tail wagging as she walked to the middle where they are supposed to fight, leaving trails behind her.
That’s Sleepy Pronoun: It/She, a 1st Year
A very energetic and playful individual who seems to befriend anyone she meets in the hallway, she sits next to Natsu most of the time in their class. With her big fluffy tail, she mostly leaves trails behind her. Because of her adorable appearance, she is like a fluffball! But be wary because her ability is being able to transform into a big german shepard look, beware as she is physically strong, and absolutely bites. Often at times the brightest color of her tail glows whenever her heart rate goes higher

A student tapped her shoulder as she easily fell asleep while waiting. The dark haired with pink and purple streaks on some parts of her hair was still asleep, due to her being tired. Alas after a couple taps on her shoulder, she slowly opened her eyes. “Huh?” she spoke as she looked around, trying to regain sight from her quick nap. She suddenly remembered that it was their examination. “Oh! I’m very sorry!” She said as she quickly rose up from the ground.
That’s Flour, Pronoun: Any, a 3rd year
A student in the morning, and during the night time an idol. She is often sleepy and tired during the morning because of her occasional photo shoots and concerts; often tries to withdraw herself from the crowd, as she wants to keep her identity hidden, yet people would soon suspect her secret career. She uses her long hair as her main weapon, as she poses to control electricity with her hair. Surrounding her hair strands with electricity, she is able to electrocute opponents. She highly dislikes combat as she has no energy to do so during the morning.

Flour’s hair is tied into a pigtail, and could be used as a whip-like weapon. She yawned as she started walking towards the middle ground where neko was standing, and where Sleepy was waiting for her opponent, despite disliking to continue this examination, she has no choice as it would have a big impact on her report card. She looked at Neko then at Sleepy who was waving at her, Sleepy’s ears perked up as her tail was wagging, she remembers she had a few interactions with flour before, and thinks of her as a friend already despite not knowing too much about her yet.
“Hi Flour! Good luck to the both of us! Let’s do our best!” Sleepy said with a very excited and happy tone.
“Goo…od luck, Sleepy..” Flour said in a very tired tone, rubbing her eyes together as she took a deep breath before the examination started.
Neko then walked to the side. Hand straight as they raised their arm, Neko looked at their watch before saying the go signal. “And…. GO!” Neko shouted, as they quickly lowered their arm for the go signal. Students were cheering both Flour and Sleepy on.
Soon after Sleepy turned into a big german shepherd look, the brightest part of her pink gradient color started to glow as her heart rate went up from the adrenaline she’s feeling, she then growled.
While flour held on to her pigtails, her hair was slowly coated with electricity.
Both at a ready position, and far away from each other, it was sleepy who started engaging first, she started running very quickly towards flour, she took a big leap and aiming to land on flour, while flour noticed that sleepy was mid air, she aimed to move to the side before sleepy landed. After sleepy landed, flour looked to her side, she saw a good opportunity to electrocute her. Flour quickly raised her hand that was holding on to her hair and immediately slashed it to Sleepy’s leg, sleepy winced from the electrocution she felt as felt weak on her leg, making her kneel down a bit, but that didn’t stop her, she quickly bit onto Flour’s shirt and threw her to the side, back flat on the ground as she groans. Sleepy quickly runs towards Flour as she has another chance to attack her while she is laying on the ground, as Sleepy was about to bite her, Flour quickly grabbed her hair and placed it in front of her so that way Sleepy will be able to bite that instead. After doing so, Sleepy was taken aback as she bit onto Flour’s hair, and got electrocuted. Sleepy groaned, While Flour was breathing heavily, Students were cheering them as the fight got more intense. When Sleepy shook her head, she looked at Flour, and immediately ran after her again to take a bite at her. Flour immediately lifted both her arms and made an ‘X’ like sign with it, before Sleepy could attack, Flour immediately yelled “Byte!!”
Neko who was closely looking at the fight, with arms crossed, raising one arm up. They yelled “STOP!” as it was the conclusion of Sleepy and Flour’s fight.
Flour panting heavily as her arms fell on the ground, already exhausted from the fight while Sleepy turned back to her human form, leaned down on Flour as she smiled. “That was a good fight, Flour!” She said as she offered her hand to Flour to help her get up.
Neko soon then started writing something on the clipboard, perhaps writing down their performance and their overall points for their exam.
Accepting Sleepy’s hand, Flour stood up with the help of Sleepy, students were clapping as both of their performances came to an end.
“You both better get yourselves checked first by Ghost, see if there’s any serious injury. Then come back here once both of you are checked. You both got that?”
Two of them nodded as they went to the nurse’s office
“Okay! Next up will be…” Neko soon then scanned through their clipboard again, scanning students' names.
“Tuse and…August” Neko said, turning their head towards the students.
Tuse was shocked, mouth open, eye twitching as they were shocked to go against August. AUGUST??? ‘I’M REALLY DOOMED, AIN’T NO WAY— HUH HOW WHA–?’ Tuse was basically yelling inside their head.
August was also surprised, not only were they going against someone they’re close to, but they were also a fellow long range user. This would either be really hard, or really interesting.
August stood up, they turned to Tuse, signaling them to go to the middle to meet.
This would be pretty hard for Tuse since they know that August’s abilities are quite flexible, and hard to face. Standing up, they took a small packed cookie from their pocket and had a bite. This helped them relax. Both of them walked to the field, far away from one another, Tuse putting on their glasses, and August closing their eyes to concentrate.
Neko sees the students preparing for their battle, raising their arms again, looking at their watch, glancing at the two students on the field, Neko quickly lowering their arm as a go signal. Shouting “GO!”
Tuse immediately grabbed their cannon out from their pockets, it was a pocket sized cannon and with Tuse activating their electrical energy, their cannon suddenly turned twice its size. While for August, activating their electrical powers, they are able to create a sniper rifle. Both holding their stances as the time was running, none seems to be initiating the fight.
Finally, August started. They lifted their sniper rifle and aimed at Tuse, firing at them, Tuse thought it would be best to dodge it. Tuse ran to the side, as they thought they missed it but they didn’t know that it was a bait. It was only an illusion that August had made, August, while in ready position to shoot Tuse, took the perfect opportunity. Shooting Tuse by the shoulder, it completely hit them, causing Tuse to bleed. Groaning in pain, they knew their examination just started. Tuse took a deep breath as they focused. Tightening their grip on their cannon, they then focused their sight at August, since Tuse’s cannon requires chemistry, they haven’t fully mastered their cannon yet, but they are able to feel when it's charging up and ready to fire. Their cannon can shoot a big charged up electrical ball that causes a big explosion from it. August had no choice but to run, because of the impact of Tuse’s cannon, August fell out of balance, and fell to the ground. Tuse took this opportunity to fire at August. But August came prepared as they made an illusion of a smoke screen and soon made 3 replicas of themselves. It took a lot of energy from August, but they were able to get the hang of it. As the smoke screen eventually faded, Tuse was confused. There were four August’s now.
“Holy crap-!” Tuse said out loud.
August smirked a little. “Which one is the real one, Tuse? Can you guess?” August said in a friendly taunt.
Tuse gripping onto their cannon tightly, Tuse laughed a little. Tuse knew something that August didn’t.
When August fell out of balance, Tuse’s electricity from the cannon actually hit the side of their shirt, creating a burn mark. Tuse immediately notices the difference between the real August and the replicas of them. Tuse then loads their cannon. “You’re a very tough opponent, August. But- YOU MISSED A SPOT!!!” Tuse then felt their cannon was ready to fire it, aiming at the they were eyeing on August and firing it their way. August was surprised that Tuse was able to identify where they were, they were only able to move a couple distances away, leg getting hit by the charged up ball and immediately falling, sitting up as they held onto their leg, groaning in pain and breathing heavily. August was unable to stand up due to the impact their leg received from Tuse’s cannon, blood was dripping from their leg. August’s other replicas immediately fading, Tuse lowers their cannon as they look at August in great pain.
August chuckles a little to himself before they look up at Tuse. “Not a good idea to lower your guard, Tuse!”
Tuse left a puzzled expression when August said that. Tuse immediately turned to their side, and saw August, aiming at them directly at Tuse.
Turns out, the one that Tuse shot was only a replica. They knew that their shirt got a burn mark, so they hid the burn mark with their hand, while making one of the replicas showing them. Making it look like it was actually the real August.
August shooting at Tuse’s arm, Tuse immediately dropped their cannon, and was taken aback from the pain. Tuse’s arm felt weak and began to bleed a lot.
Neko raised their arm, it was the conclusion of their exam. August was able to win this examination. Students cheering and clapping.
Tuse’s cannon then immediately shrinks from the lack of electricity energy.
Neko began walking towards the two students, picking Tuse’s now shrunken cannon and helping Tuse out, while August helped from the other side, all of them walking towards where the students were sitting.
“I think it's best that you bring Tuse to Ghost. This injury needs to be tended. Make sure that both of you are checked first by ghost, after that return to the group as I will be having a word with everyone, Are you able to help them get there?” Neko said and asking August
August nodded and helped Tuse.
Neko then returned to their original spot, writing how both of their performances turned out and began scanning through the paper again.
Tuse coughs a little “How did you do that? I thought I got you”
August then replied “You did, but you know, when I’m about to create replicas of me, I have to check my appearance first, and also. When you got me, it wasn’t just a small burn mark actually. It got behind me as well, and actually caused a small bleeding from it. So I gotta get myself checked in too, also us long range users also have a blind spot, so when you were focused on the other August, I quickly slipped away, and went behind you so you wouldn’t notice me. That’s when I took the opportunity to shoot you.”
“Woahhh, that’s impressive!!! Your skills are really impressive!!” Tuse said with a smile on their face as they tried to lift their glasses up. After doing so, they placed it on the top of their head. “I should really practice more” Tuse added
“You’re a great opponent, Tuse. Your cannon can cause a big impact, and it would be hard for long ranged users or even close range users, since that charged up ball can cause a big disruption!” August said as they were heading inside the building.
After a while Flour and Sleepy returned to where the group was, seems like they’re finished getting checked by Ghost, both of them are in tip top shape after taking a visit at nurse’s office
“Next will be… You and You” Neko pointed at the two students
The white haired female stood up. Suddenly someone yelled “You got this, Chiyeol!” She turned to see who it was, it was Speedy. Chiyeol smiled a little as she walked towards the middle area.
The brown haired with three toned hair color in the front walks to the middle area, smiling widely with a lollipop in her mouth. “Hey Chiyeol!!” she said and was waving.
That’s Gallows, Pronoun: She/Her, a 3rd Year
Impressions on gallows had always left an intimidating one because of their known regular fights with other students (mostly vali, even though they count it as playful). But deep inside, once getting to know them, they're quite silly, and very active. She often is around Vali and Natsu. But when it comes to fighting, that's where you should be intimidated, as gallows takes this quite seriously.
Their ability is they are able to control electricity, and carry a metal bat for their weapon, they are able to coat electricity on their bat. Throughout gallows' first and second year, they are able to master long distance attacks, such as creating electric bullets and electric balls.

“Gallows” Chiyeol smiled, it was a fellow third year, gallows was widely known for her disruptive fights. But she’s a kind hearted person.
Students started cheering as the ones who will be facing one another would be third years.
“Since both of you are able to do long and short range, I want you both to use them for this examination” Neko said “Also can I have a lollipop too, gallows?” Neko added
“Pfft, yeah! This is my spare one, here you go” Gallows said as they walked towards Neko and handed the lollipop. “I got them from Instructor Ghost!”
“Great!!” Neko smiled as they kept the lollipop in their pocket
Gallows walked back, carrying their bat, and had the bat resting on her shoulder, humming to herself as her eyes wandered above the blue sky, meanwhile for Chiyeol, she closed her eyes as she took a couple deep breaths, she wanted to concentrate and have her full energy.
Chiyeol activating her electrical powers, her hair and scars started to glow, she sways her hand, summoning her thunder sword.
Gallows biting onto the lollipop she had in her mouth as it soon turned into small pieces, gallows smiled as this fight intrigues her.
Alas it was time for their battle, Neko raising their arm once more to start their examination. “GO!” Neko yelled.
Both the 3rd years didn’t hesitate, as they went head on. Running towards each other. Gallows coating her bat with electricity, and Chiyeol’s thunder sword charging up.
Slashing both their weapons together, as both struggle getting the upper hand. Throughout Gallows’ rough housing, she got really strong, but Chiyeol seems to be quite strong as well,Gallows focused her vision to on the air that’s next to Chiyeol, creating an electric ball, Chiyeol noticed as she jumped a back, dodging it before it hit her.
Chiyeol summoned thunder strikes down Gallows’ way, Gallows looking up, the sky was a nice blue earlier yet there are now thunder clouds. Gallows started running sideways trying to avoid being struck.
As Gallows was running to the sides, she started creating electrical bullets mid air and surrounding it around her. She started shooting it towards Chiyeol and started shooting electrical bullets towards her way. Chiyeol lifted her sword as she tried to deflect them, but due to there being too many, two bullets hit her. One on her wrist, and one on her cheek. On her wrist thankfully it wasn’t as severe, the side of her wrist was bleeding, while for the cheek, it was only a scratch, with little blood dripping.
Gallows didn’t hesitate as she created an electrical ball, throwing it mid air and prepared her metal bat, hit the electrical ball, sending it flying towards Chiyeol.
Chiyeol knew she wouldn’t be able to deflect it with her sword alone, so she decided to add some of her abilities instead. She summoned multiple thunder strikes towards the electrical ball and slashing her thunder sword at it along with the few thunder strikes to change its trajectory back to Gallows.
Gallows noticed that Chiyeol deflected it; she knew that if summoning her electric ball mid air, it would not have enough force to deflect it back again. Pointing her index finger at the deflected ball, she tries to summon another electrical ball to deflect it with, because summoning her electrical ball with any of her body parts directly pushes the ball more with some force compared to when it is summoned mid air. While in the process of summoning one, she ran out of time to deflect it. Gallows fell to the ground as the electrical ball exploded as it hit her, coughing blood a bit, she immediately got up on one knee, spitting the blood mixed with her saliva on the ground, she smirked as her heart rate went up, getting some adrenaline.
Chiyeol’s tempo started getting faster, running towards gallows. Gallows tried to shoot her with her electrical bullets, but due to her speed, she wasn’t able to do so. Chiyeol was at this point, a mere lightning that was on loose because of her speed. She started summoning lightning strikes towards Gallows. Gallows swung her metal bat, deflecting the lightning strikes, and eventually hitting on the ground. Chiyeol was running around Gallows, creating with the dust on the ground something similar to a smoke screen around Gallows, and blends in through the smoke screen, its appearance looks like a thunderstorm. Gallows was at this point pinned to the corner, turning her head from side to side checking to see where her opponent’s location was. Chiyeol decided to send in a couple of thunder strikes towards Gallows. With her strength right now, she won’t be able to deflect all of it, so she decided to try and dodge it with the little space she had left with her. Gallows tried to shoot with her electrical bullet towards where Chiyeol was but missed, but she noticed something. From the constant speed that Chiyeol has, and as she runs around Gallows, her electrical bullet circled around the smoke screen for a couple of seconds before it faded due to the stray energy that was built up. Gallows knew what to do, so when Chiyeol threw in a thunderstorm, Gallows created two electrical balls and threw it to the smoke screen, as the electrical ball was caught up from the fast breeze, it eventually hit Chiyeol.
Chiyeol fell on the ground, back flat as she coughed a lot, and blood as well. Trying to sit up, she feels weak due to her constant running, she most likely drained half her stamina and energy. ‘Byte…’ Chiyeol muttered.
Neko soon then raised their arm, leaving Gallows victorious for this examination.
Gallows then ran towards Chiyeol to help her up. “You did well!! Your abilities are really cool, we should train sometime!!!” Gallows said to Chiyeol as she put her hand on her waist to help her balance herself and Chiyeol’s Arm around Gallows’ shoulder. Neko also came to help the two students to walk back to where the students were sitting.
Students were clapping and cheering both the third years, as this sent shivers down their spine as they watched the whole combat.
“You’re a really great opponent, Gallows. You really have improved a lot ever since 1st year” Chiyeol muttered beneath her breath as she laughed a little. Gallows laughed and smiled “You also improved a lot too, Chiyeol. Let's keep working hard!”
“You both better get yourselves checked in by Ghost. Thankfully Ghost was able to get as much help as possible from other staff members to help students after their combat. Make sure to go back here afterwards. Will you both be fine?” Neko asked before he leaves the two students.
Both students nod as they make their way to nurse’s office.
Finally there were a few more students left, Neko started scanning the paper after writing down notes on how their performances went and decided it would be a good idea to let these two fight against one another. A long range one and a close range type.
“Both of you will be facing each other now” Neko said as they looked at one of the students.
“Me?” The dark blue gradient haired female with neon blue and lilac streaks pointed at herself
Neko nodded, she then got up and walked to the middle ground.
“YOU GOT THIS NATSU!! BEAT THEIR AS- BEAT THERE BUTT!!” Someone from the students yelled, the voice was oh-so familiar to her that she chuckled to herself.
That’s Natsu, Pronoun: She/Her, a 1st Year
An individual who seems very sweet in and out, and can easily be approachable. A loud and chaotic being whenever she feels like it, but often at the times can be calm and collected. She would be the typical person who you can count on. She also likes to sleep in class often, and can be seen sitting next to sleepy within lectures. During free time, she hangs out with Vali and Gallows. She specializes in both long ranged and close ranged, she is an archer who uses her electrical powers into electrical arrows, or able to use her bow into a sniper, and bullets made of electricity. While for close range, she is able to use her bow into a scythe or split it into a sword, her powers are able to help her during close range combat.

Neko then looked at the other student. “Mr. I always attend class when it is only combat related get over here”
The dark brown with light brown ends on his hair, ears with a gradient of different colors of purple from dark to light, was waiting for his turn, and finally it was time. Running to the middle as he jumped really high and did a handspring towards the middle.
That’s Gale, Pronoun: He/They, a 2nd Year
A very chaotic and aloof individual who loves to wander in restricted areas, eager to see what he can discover for the day, mostly spotted by faculty members, they often tell him to stop, yet never listens. Who wouldn't be curious to have little adventures in those restricted places anyway? Always skips class, and only shows up whenever there's combat related classes, and or something that interests him. With his sharp teeth, he is able to coat electricity around them, and use his teeth as his main weapon. He can also use his electrical abilities with his hands and feet, his love for combat training always motivated him to go to class often. He is often hanging around the rooftop, as because of the campus area, the rooftop is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset.

“Welp, I’m doomed, my opponent has a lot of stamina..” Natsu muttered as she sighed in her head.
Gale looked at her, and decided to wave. Natsu waved back.
Both then walk away from one another as they take their own corners.
Natsu summoned her bow, testing out her bow to see if everything is working, while for Gale, he was stretching so he could be in tip top shape and flexible when in combat.
It was time for their examination, Waiting for Neko to give the go signal, The two students focused on themselves for now, Natsu taking deep breaths, as Gale continued stretching.
It was finally time, Neko raised their arm, immediately lowered it and yelled ‘GO!’
Gale didn’t hesitate to dash towards Natsu. Natsu then aimed at him, summoning herself some electrical arrows, rapidly shooting at Gale, but due to Gale’s agility, he was able to dodge all of them. Natsu noticed that he was getting closer, she lowered her bow and split it into two turning it into two pairs of swords, Gale coating his fist with electricity, striking rapidly at Natsu, thankfully, Natsu was able to block them with her pair of swords. Gale coating his feet with electricity as he did a jump kick, hitting Natsu’s chin.
Natsu immediately fell in a twisted motion, legs to the ground as her upper body was slightly twisted to the side with her left arm and right hand on the ground, lifting her right hand as she gently massages her chin. Gale didn’t stop there as he dashed towards Natsu, coating his teeth with electricity.
When Natsu saw, she immediately grabbed her two pairs of swords, putting it back together as she uses her scythe this time. She coated her scythe with electricity, she swung it mid air to create a wave of electricity towards Gale. Gale jumps to the side. Natsu then immediately aimed at Gale, summoning an electrical arrow as she shot it at Gale. Gale jumped really high and was able to avoid it. Coating his teeth again with electricity as he soon dashes towards Natsu, she was trying to shoot once more before Gale could attack but it was too late, Gale soon bit Natsu’s wrist, making her drop her weapon. Biting her lower lip from the pain she felt. Her wrist started bleeding from the force that Gale’s teeth dug onto her wrist, blood streaming down.
Natsu gathered her strength to continue fighting, She immediately grabbed her Scythe, before Gale could attack, she swung it again creating a wave of electricity. It was also a way for Gale to take a step back and have distance between the two, It gave Natsu some time to prepare. Splitting her Scythe into half, making it into two pairs of swords, she dashes towards Gale. Slashing her sword towards Gale, and was able to hit him finally, One of her swords hitting him by the waist, since he was basically trying to dodge both weapons at the same time. He silently groaned in pain, but that didn’t stop him.
As the fight continues, Natsu seems to be on low stamina already, yet her opponents seem to be doing really well despite how long the fight has been.
Natsu then put her scythe back together as she aimed at Gale once more, but this time she used her electrical bullets, it wasn’t as powerful as her arrow, but being hit by this could electrocute you several times depending on how many bullets you got hit with. Her bullets help her to shoot rapidly as they are small and light. Natsu began doing so, and Gale was trying to avoid it by jumping up, dashing to the sides, handstanding, whatever he can do just to avoid getting it, yet was hit by at least three bullets. It stung him as the electrocution took place. But it didn’t stop him, after a while he noticed that Natsu was getting slower, which seemed like her stamina was really low. He took this opportunity to run towards her, coating his teeth with electricity.
Natsu was breathing heavily. Her stamina was really low, at this point she wanted to stop. “Byt—” before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted.
“STOP” Neko said
Before Gale could attack, he stopped when he heard Neko.
Both quickly looked at Neko, while Natsu was a tad bit confused. “I-..I- The exams are done??”
Natsu asked in confusion. “5 minutes is up” Neko said
Natsu blinked once, twice, thrice before she could process that she was able to finish the exams without giving up yet. She smiled widely, then pain from her wrist came arise.
Groaning silently as she gently held onto her wrist, Gale on the other hand just laid on the ground. “Felt like it's only been a minute!” He muttered. Looking up at the blue sky as he was sweating from the combat. It was a good examination for him as he enjoyed it quite well.
Students were clapping and cheering them on as their fight was left on a cliffhanger.
Natsu was walking back to where the students were, and turned her head to face Neko
“You better get yourself checked. Need someone to go with you?” Neko asked
Natsu shook her head. “I’ll be okay!” she said
“You better get yourself checked as well Gale” Neko said, turning to where originally Gale was laying, but there was left with no trace of him. Neko sighed. “There he goes again.. Always disappearing”
“Good job Natsu!” a voice from her left was heard, it was one of her closest friends. She smiled as she waved at her, then headed inside the building to visit the nurse’s office.
Neko was looking at Natsu, waiting for her to enter before they continued with the examination. After Natsu got inside, Neko turned to face their clipboard and was scanning through the papers once they were done writing something, and there were three students left. Turning to the students. They knew which student he wanted to face.
Pointing at the two students to get to the middle ground, as the only person left knew that they were going to face Neko.
Face palming and sighing as she muttered “Why…”
August and Tuse came back, Tuse having a cookie in their mouth and a few bandages on some of their body while August seems to have a lollipop in their mouth. “We made it just in time” August said. Both of them took a seat next to the group.
The two students got up, one was Navy blue haired with streaks of light blue, one was a Black haired female with purple gradient on the ends of her pigtails.
It was Kyouka and Speed.
Students started cheering, as both of them walked towards the middle as both of them got nervous.
“Hey Kyouka!” Speed initiating the conversation, waving at her with a big smile
“Hey Speed, good luck to us both hm?” Kyouka replied back and smiled
Speed nodded as she smiled even more.
Both of them walked to different areas, as they were far away from one another.
Kyouka took her handle out from her pocket, while Speed took her knife out as well.
Neko giving the go signal and hearing them say ‘GO’
Kyouka activates her whip, as a long trail of electricity appears on the handle while Speed fixes her hand bandages.
Both didn’t hesitate, and ran at each other. Kyouka initiated the first combat, as she whips her weapon towards Speed, wrapping her trail of electricity around Speed’s leg as she electrocutes her and pulls her toward her, Speed losing her balance from the sudden force and the electrocution she felt on her leg and dropping to the ground, she accidentally let go of her weapon. Kyouka releasing her leg, raises her hand to strike at Speed, but Speed rolls to the side, grabbing her weapon as she stabs one of Kyouka’s legs.
She groaned loudly as blood started streaming down her leg. Speed got up as she repositioned herself again. Kyouka took a deep breath as she slowly stood up. She held her handle tightly as she spins her whip around, and her whip grew longer, Speed didn’t hesitate to attack as well, she started dashing towards Kyouka with her fast agility, as Kyouka plans to attack her, She switched to a defensive method instead, She swirls her whip around her as the electricity grew thicker, making it unable for Speed to attack her directly. As Speed was unable to attack her, Kyouka took the opportunity to hit Speed’s weapon off her hand, her knife flying to the side as Speed was left with only one weapon left. Kyouka then wrapped her whip around Speed’s upper body as she Electrocuted her once more. Groaning loudly from the electrocution, she fell on her knees. Kyouka then lets go of her and pulls her whip back to her, she decides to turn her whip into a slingshot, hesitantly aiming at Speed because she knew her aiming wasn’t the best.
This made Speed have an opportunity to dash towards Kyouka and wrap around, bear hugging her from behind as started scratching Kyouka’s face and arms. Speed has very long nails, this is her other weapon whenever she loses her knife, and by keeping her long nails, she’s able to scratch opponents with it.
Kyouka was trying to loosen Speed’s grip around her but she just wouldn’t. Dropping her whip as she tries to remove her hands away from her face. “You’re like a hecking cat-!” Kyouka nearly screamed as she groaned in pain, cheeks starting to bleed, arms full of scratches from Speed.
Speed turned her head, looking for her weapon, alas she found it. It was a bit far from her but she sprung off Kyouka, dashing towards her knife. Kyouka who tried to regain her vision from the sudden attack from earlier, managed to grab her handle, swung it around her as her whip got longer once more, she then threw her whip at Speed, but Speed was able to grab her knife just in time, slashing to deflect her electrical whip. Kyouka then tried once again, this time aiming to wrap her whip around Speed’s wrist, but failed as Speed jumped back.
Speed then started running towards Kyouka, hand in position for stabbing.
Kyouka swirled her whip around her, and was ready to attack.
Both was about to attack one another till they heard— “STOP”
Neko yelled, it seemed like the 5 minute timer was up. With Neko’s arm raised up, It was the end of Speed and Kyouka’s examination.
Students were clapping and cheering the two on as they were also left with a cliff hanger on who could be the possible winner for their exam.
They both walked towards the students, until Speed ran next to Kyouka, helping her walk since the attack from earlier gave Kyouka a bit of a limp.
“That was a good fight! Also sorry about your leg..” Speed said
Kyouka then nodded and smiled “You’re quite a handy one as well, I thought I was facing a tough feline for a moment” she chuckled.
Neko then looked at the two students. “You two, go get yourselves checked by Ghost. Make sure to come back here as soon as you’re both checked. Okay?”
The two students nodded, Kyouka saying “Got it, teach” while Speed was humming happily.
“You’re really tough despite not having much electrical powers..” Kyouka muttered
“Hm?” Speed turned to Kyouka “Oh! Sorry if it sounded offensive..” Kyouka immediately apologized as her words just immediately came out of her mouth.
“Oh! It’s no biggie! This Academy is really nice, and I’m learning a lot. Maybe I could even add potion related stuff as a part of my weapon too!” Speed said in enthusiasm
Kyouka just chuckled, she was a very interesting first year.
“Lets go get checked up first” Kyouka said as the both of them headed to nurse’s office
Alas after the last two students fighting it was finally Neko’s time to show off once again. After writing on the paper, placing their clipboard somewhere. They walked to the middle ground waiting for their opponent.
The other party sighed as she cursed the day, why would she have to face another Teacher. She knew her opponent was that strong, and out of her league for now.
The dark grey teal stood with purple streaks and walked towards the middle where Neko was standing.
“Why did you exactly pick me again..?” She said
That’s Vali (She/Her) 3rd year
Another individual whose first impressions were always the "intimidating" one, 1st and 2nd years actually saw how Vali had fought during combat trainings, and was always so mesmerized by it, yet quite frightened. A sweet person once getting to know her, has a soft spot for her two closest friends which are Gallows and Natsu, she is also the type of person you never thought would swear, but turns out it's the opposite and she hangs out often with Natsu and Gallows. Vali is an A + student but never studies. Magic really is something huh. Her abilities is a summoner, or otherwise called a tamer. She is able to summon creatures and weapons. She is also able to summon weapons at will, while the creatures are randomized. She mainly uses her sword, as she mostly was trained to use it rather than using her other weapons such as guns, bows and daggers.

“Just wanted to see you lose to me again” Neko said and laughed
Vali didn’t find it pleasant and crossed her arms. “You mother fu-”
“Hey, no swearing” Neko said. “But I just wanna see how you improved as well. I heard from the other teachers that they’ve been seeing you train lately, and I wanna put you up for the test. Easy right?” They added
“Easy for you. You’re a teacher, of course you’re going to kick my ass” Vali said and sighed once more
“Again, no swearing. But I’ll be able to see how much improvements you did with your skills, so. Shall we fight?”
Vali was already heading to her corner and yelled “Already ahead of you, teach”
Neko stood there “Seriously.. Dang these students are really something sometimes…” Neko saying in their mind playfully as they walked to their corner
Vali summoned her sword as she concentrated her energy, hoping she summons a creature during her combat too.
Neko on the other hand, doesn’t really intend to harm her, they just wanna test how her progress turns out from all the training, so. They took out their weapon, which is a gun.
As both were standing in their corners. Neko looked at their watch.
Vali was concentrating her electrical energy on her whole body for her.
Neko then yelled “GO” as a go signal.
Soon Vali didn’t let no time skip, as she dashed towards Neko.
Neko aimed at Vali, and rapidly shot at her. She then was blocking the bullets with her sword, swinging them to deflect the bullets, and even slashing some. As Vali reached Neko, she swung her sword but Neko immediately shapeshifted into a cat, making Vali miss her attack.
The feline ran to a different location, with their quick speed.
Neko then turned back into their human form and summoned their gun, rapidly shooting at Vali.
With the little to no time Vali had, she had to run to the sides to avoid the bullets. Vali was dodging left to right, from jumping above to kneeling to avoid them, and soon Vali started running towards Neko once again, positioning her hand to attack Neko.
Neko jumped above, shapeshifting into a cat, and landing on top of Vali
“What the—” Vali muttered as she looked up, Neko scratching Vali’s forehead and cheeks as a form of attack. “Argh–! Curse this” she muttered once more before she tried to grab the feline but the feline jumped and ran to yet another opposite direction. “Instructor Neko is really annoying to go up against too…” Vali turned to the direction where Neko was running at, Summoning her bow, she may not be good at aiming at opponents, but she could use this to make it harder for Neko to run away, Aiming at where Neko was running to, she summoned electrical arrows that stuck to the ground trails away and next to Neko, this is to prevent them from running away freely. Neko turned back to their human form and summoning two guns this time, charging up their gun as it shoots out a tad bit bigger bullet, Vali then summons her dagger, throwing it at Neko, as Neko was dodging them, Vali ran towards Neko, grabbing the trail of arrows on the ground, and eventually turning these into her swords, Vali was able to hit neko a little before they leaned back, and was only able to slice a bit of skin from Neko on their cheek. “You’re pretty fast but… Not fast enough!” Neko said as they did a low kick at Vali, Vali falling from the ground as she lost her balance and Neko turning into a feline once more when suddenly–
Another feline was seen? It was unconsciously summoned by Vali, it was able to match Neko’s speed.
The feline was trailing behind Neko. Neko turned their head at the feline, it seems that the feline was able to catch up a bit, and was able to scratch a bit of Neko’s ankle.
Vali noticed the other feline, she couldn’t help but smile a bit as she was able to summon yet another creature. This time, similar to their opponent, as the feline had Neko’s attention, Vali started running towards Neko as well.
As Neko turned back into a human, holding their gun, They couldn’t spot their opponent.
Turning their head to the sides as there was just no trace of Vali, until Neko looked up, Vali seemed to have jumped from above. Landing behind Neko, swords pointed to their Neck while Neko was pointing their Gun at Vali’s forehead.
Suddenly, a buzz from Neko’s watch arose, it seemed like 5 minutes were up.
“It seems like our combat is over” Neko said and hid their gun away.
Vali did the same. Students then started cheering.
“Impressive work, Miss Val” Neko said
As the examination ended, Neko then made the student sit down, soon the other students who got themselves checked came back, and are as fully okay as ever before.
“Alright, sit down everyone, I’ll make this quick since Miss Val has to get checked by Ghost after this” Neko looking at their clipboard.
Clearing their throat before they spoke. “Everyone did a very good job at their combat examination, some were able to face their weaknesses which is the opposite range. Good job everyone” Neko said. “Now I wanna point out where you all could improve on” they added
“Sleepy and Flour, Both of you were able to showcase your performance very well, make sure to always prepare yourself, and make sure to try studying some long range weapons, that way you both can have an advantage whenever facing an opponent. It’s better to know how to use both, rather than just sticking with your close range. Overall, it was a good performance, I hope both of you can improve more” Neko explained, as Neko wants not only for the students to showcase their abilities, but also to learn where to improve on.
“Tuse and August, I made you two face one another to see how both of you are able to handle different long range types, and I can see that both of you did well. Tuse, I suggest that you learn how to summon your cannon instead rather than having a small version of it, and enlarging it once it receives electrical energy from you, this way, when you enter combat, you won’t have to worry about losing it.
August, you are very skilled with your abilities, and I can see that you used them very well. It was a smart move for you to use your replicas to distract your opponent to get the upper hand. Both of you are skilled with long range, but I also suggest that you both practice close combat, that way when opponents get close to you, both of you will know how to handle it and fight them off”
“Gallows and Chiyeol, you both have improved a lot. From your years in this academy, I’ve seen a lot of improvements. Good job to you both. Keep working hard, and hopefully both of you are able to master more abilities for your advantage as well. Both of you were able to use both long and close range very well. I do suggest to work on more defensive abilities, that way when your opponent has the upper hand, you will be able to switch to a defensive method, and fight your way to get the upper hand on your opponent”
“Gale and Natsu, well done with your examination, both of you were able to perform very well. Natsu, your abilities are quite impressive as you were able to create different types of attacks and a defensive method. But I noticed that your stamina isn’t in the best shape, hopefully you are able to train more, so that way, when in combat. Your stamina wouldn’t be low mid-fight.
Gale, I know you’re listening from afar but good work. You are able to handle close combat really well, as well as your flexibility when fighting. I suggest to not be hasty at times, and make sure to learn how to do long range, so that way you are able to fight opponents at a far range, and perhaps implement it with your own abilities. Who knows, maybe you can discover a strong ability for you that you haven’t find out”
“Speed and Kyouka, great job with your combat, I faced you two together to see how you are both able to handle different types of close range. I see that you were able to fight it off really well. I suggest training more, and hopefully both of you are able to develop more attack and defensive abilities to your advantage when in combat, and practice more with long range. Kyouka, I noticed that you hesitated using your long range weapon from earlier. Make sure to gather up the courage to fight only in long range so you could get yourself used to your weapon. Speed, make sure to develop a defensive method. Therefore if you lose your weapon, you know how to deflect the opponent’s attack”
“Lastly, Vali. A very impressive performance. You were able to showcase the improvements you’ve been training for, good job. Your creature was able to match my cat form’s speed as well, so very well done. I hope that you are able to practice more with your other weapon, so you can switch around, and be able to use them to your advantage.”
“Alright class, that would be all. You all did a spectacular job with today’s examination. Congratulations on passing!” Neko said and smiled as they clapped at their students.
Students rejoiced as the exams were over.
“FINALLYYYYYY!!!” Natsu yelled with joy
“I-I PASSED-!!!” Tuse nearly yelled as they ate their cookie from joy.
Gallows and Natsu went to Vali to help her, and accompany her to visit nurse’s office
Chiyeol and Speed were congratulating one another.
August and Kyouka were chuckling at Tuse as Tuse was nearly tearing up as they ate their cookie.
Gale was headed to the rooftop to watch the sunset.
Sleepy and Flour seemed to be heading to the cafeteria to quince their thirst from the fight.
With everyone passing the examination, the day was about to end. Everyone did a fantastic job, and was able to show their full abilities that they have been training for.
Meanwhile.. At the Nurse’s office.
“Sometimes I wonder why I agreed to be the healer for examination day…There were a lot of students who visited..” Ghost muttered as they were finally to rest from all the students. “I ran out of lollipops too..” Ghost added.
Ghost looks at their empty lollipop jar.
Soon after they just shrugged it off. “I don’t mind, those students are really sweet anyways, even if there was a lot of noise..” Ghost said as they picked up their empty lollipop jar to get refills soon.

A very calm instructor who loves to teach students weird facts about chemistry, they are a very kind hearted instructor who typically hangs around the Nurse’s office rather than the Instructor’s lounge area. They have a huge soft spot on animals, and highly dislike fighting since it’s not their forte. Their abilities? That would be a secret for now! Let’s just say that they are really great healer.
