STARS twinkled in the night sky as you lay away on the couch in the Burrow. Molly had graciously allowed you to stay at her home the day before your big day. She claimed that it was โ€œbad luck for the groom - or in this case, shall I say grooms - to see the bride before the wedding!โ€ย

Following through on that wedding tradition made you even more ecstatic. You hoped and prayed that Sirius and Remus were at home and safe. You also prayed that everything in Twelve Grimmuald Place has stayed intact.ย

Meanwhile, Sirius and Remus were peacefully snoring away. The two men were happily dreaming their sweet dreams. Nothing could get between the three lovers and their wish to live happily ever after.ย

-

The big day had come. After years and years of wishing and waiting, your wedding day was finally here.ย

The Weasley boys were up and outside working on getting the tent ready. You had seen bits and pieces of the tent getting set up but you wanted everything to be a surprise. Glimpses of blue, white, and gold caught your vision. From what you could see, there seemed to be a bit of a celestial theme to it. Ironic considering one of the people getting married was a werewolf.ย ย ย ย

Molly had been in charge of decorations and all of the aesthetics of the wedding. You really did not want your guests and hosts to feel the need to help you set up anything. You really wanted them to relax and enjoy the day but Molly Weasley had other plans. She had begged and pleaded with you countless times to allow her to do something more for the wedding. Since she was not allowed to cook you thought that the next best thing would be to help plan the look of it all.ย

According to Molly, sheโ€™s already gotten her maid of honor dress without you knowing the color. You didnโ€™t even know what the actual theme of the wedding was yet and you were getting married inโ€ฆthree hours.ย

You sat up from the comfortable sleeping position you were just in.ย

โ€œOh, youโ€™re awake. Iโ€™ve been trying to wake you up for hours,โ€ Molly said as she descended the stairs. Her makeup and hair was already done.

โ€œIโ€™m sorry, Molly. I must have slept in,โ€ you rubbed your tired eyes.ย

โ€œWell, get on with it then. Youโ€™re getting married in three hours,โ€ Molly patted your shoulder. You stretched your arms over your head and yawned.ย

โ€œWhat shall I get done first? My hair or my makeup?โ€ you asked Molly. Molly put her wand to her chin and looked up at the ceiling, deep in thought.ย

Then, she pointed her wand at you. On instinct, you pulled out yours. โ€œStand down,โ€ she chuckled. You slowly put your wand down and looked back at Molly. She pointed her wand toward you again and asked, โ€œdo you trust me?โ€ You nodded your head and closed your eyes. You heard Molly mutter a quick spell under her breath. โ€œOpen your eyes,โ€ she said.ย

Following her instruction, you opened your eyes to see Molly holding a mirror. You peered into it and saw yourself. Deep midnight blue eyeshadow and black eyeliner adorned your eyelids. Gold eyeshadow sat in the corner of your eyelids. Your eyelashes were elongated with mascara and false lashes. Blush danced across your cheeks as a natural shade of lipstick kissed your lips.ย

Your hair was done up in a simple style. You liked how your face and hair wouldnโ€™t overpower the dress.ย

โ€œYou look lovely, dear,โ€ Molly placed a hand over her heart. In times like these, you really wished you had your mother and sisters here to help fawn over you on your own wedding day.ย

โ€œThank you,โ€ you beamed. Then the smile on your face slowly disappeared, โ€œI havenโ€™t brushed my teeth today.โ€ย

Molly shook her head. โ€œOpen,โ€ she said. You blindly followed her orders and opened your mouth, Once again she muttered a spell to clean your teeth. Today you felt like a toddler following its mother's orders without really knowing what was going on.ย

Meanwhile, at Twelve Grimmuald Place, Remus and Sirius were also getting ready. They were in separate rooms while they prepared themselves to get married.ย

This is really happening. Sirius thought to himself as he stared at the mirror. For twelve years, this was all he could think about. You and Remus and him getting married. It always felt like a distant dream that was unreachable. Now that he was a free man, the possibilities were endless. He could walk out the door without the fear of getting sent back to Azkaban. He could marry whomever he wanted without the fear of them getting sent to Azkaban with him.ย

Sirius cracked a small smile. He had on an all-black suit. The only thing that was colored was the white vest that he wore underneath his black suit jacket. His hair was perfect as ever. For a brief second, he sort of reminded himself of his father.ย

Orion Black prided himself in the fact that he was a rich pureblood man. His status was the only factor keeping him alive. Just like his mother, he was devoid of emotions and cared little for the joys of life. Siriusโ€™s heart broke for the little boy he once was. He remembered he tried so hard to get his parent's approval but was always met with nothing more than a curt nod. As if he was some stranger they met on the street.

All the way down the hall, Remus was pacing around the room. His white suit jacket was lazily thrown on the bed. His white long-sleeve button-up had a few buttons unbuttoned while his black vest still had all the buttons buttoned. His black trousers had their pockets stuffed with his hands.ย

Remusโ€™s adrenalin was pumping. He was nervous, excited, and scared at the same time. There was a huge risk for people to get married to werewolves.ย

According to the Daily Prophet, new legislation had been passed that bares down on werewolves once again. Instead of being angry he simply rolled his eyes and continued to read the paper. In the thirty-one years that heโ€™s been a werewolf, he has learned that not everyone will accept him and he had learned to live with that. There were more people out there that were like him. They were cast away by society and forced to live in the wild. He was one of the lucky ones. He would be forever grateful for the opportunities that he had been given.ย

He stopped pacing around the room. When he was nervous his mother would tell him to close his eyes and think of something that brought him peace. When he was younger, he would think of his mother. Her warm and inviting smile would bring him peace. At first, she was the only one who accepted his lycanthropy. His father hated what he had become. Lyall Lupin blamed himself for his son becoming a werewolf. It made him distant and cold through the years until his untimely death in nineteen eighty-one. The three of you had a lot of funerals to attend that year.ย

Remus closed his eyes and thought of the people and things that brought him peace. Chocolate, hot tea, the snow, autumn nights, the sunrise, crescent moons, his mother's smile, and lastly: Sirius and you.ย

He couldnโ€™t wait to get married.ย

The three of you promised that you wouldnโ€™t see each other until the Three Broomsticks. It was hard to do since Sirius and Remus were in the same building. They tried their very hardest to keep away from each other until it was time. Speaking of, Remus glanced at the watch on his wrist. He was supposed to leave now.ย

Apparating was Remusโ€™s least favorite form of transportation. He liked walking and loved train rides. He was okay with traveling by floo but he did not like the soot that would cover his face after. He hoped that you and Sirius noticed that it was already time to meet at the Three Broomsticks.ย

Hogsmeade was covered in a small layer of snow. The white substance that fell from the sky painted the roofs and walls of the many shops in the small wizarding town. The outside of the Three Broomsticks was decorated in blue and gold. There was a small white sign on the door that said, โ€œprivate party from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. No invite, no entry.โ€ย

ย Stepping inside the pub, he was met with a completely different scene than the usual one. There were at least ten white chairs on each side of the blue carpet that was supposed to simulate an aisle. There was a white wedding arch that was decorated in all kinds of flowers and ribbons.ย

โ€œRemus!โ€ a voice called from the back of the pub. โ€œI havenโ€™t seen you in years,โ€ Madam Rosmerta threw her arms around Remus. Rosmerta had been another motherly figure in Remusโ€™s life. The marauders would frequent the pub during Hogsmead days. They became regulars soon after and would sometimes slide over free butterbeer for the troublesome boys. After the war when Remus was the only marauder left, Rosmerta offered him a job that he had to decline. Even though he was always desperate for a job, he just did not have it in him to work after he lost his best friends and his lover.ย

โ€œRosmerta, how have you been?โ€ Remus hugged her back.ย

โ€œBetter now that Iโ€™ve seen you,โ€ Rosmerta broke the hug. She gestured around her, โ€œdo you like it?โ€ย

Remus nodded, โ€œit looks perfect. We could not thank you enough.โ€ย

โ€œIs that you, Remus?โ€ Molly asked as she opened the door to the pub.ย

Remusโ€™s head whipped around. You were supposed to be with Molly.ย

โ€œIs she with you?โ€ Remus questioned as he looked outside the window to see nothing but snow.ย

Molly dusted a bit of snow off of her shoulders as she said, โ€œsheโ€™s upstairs in Rosmertas room. We got here about thirty minutes ago but I had to go get you all a wedding present.โ€ Molly was carrying a small red box, โ€œhere. Congratulations.โ€ Molly thrust the box into Remusโ€™s hands and weaved past him and up into the back of the pub.ย

โ€œThe guest should be arriving in twenty minutes. Give us a second and sheโ€™ll be down shortly,โ€ Molly yelled. Remus was pretty sure that the entirety of Hogsmeade could hear her.ย

Rosmerta peaked her head out of the door, โ€œSirius is already outside. You better hurry, Weasley. He looks like a shivering dog.โ€ Rosmerta matched Molly's energy.ย

Remusโ€™s head spun. This was it. He was really getting married. A mixture of emotions washed over him. His heart was beating widely in his chest.ย

โ€œThe bride is ready, Rosmerta.โ€ย

โ€œAre you ready, Remus?โ€ Rosmerta looked at Remus with one of her eyebrows raised. He nodded. Rosmerta peaked her head out of the door again, โ€œyou ready, Sirius?โ€ Sirius must have nodded his head because Rosmerta opened the door a little wider to allow for another person to get in.ย

Sirius sauntered into the pub. His aura of confidence filled the room. Sirius looked absolutely wonderful. His black suit contrasted with Remusโ€™s white one.ย

โ€œYou look,โ€ they said at the same time. They laughed at the coincidence of their contrasting outfits.ย

โ€œYou look lovely,โ€ Remus looked Sirius up and down.ย

โ€œAs do you,โ€ Sirius said doing the same.ย

โ€œThe bride is coming down!โ€ Molly announced.

Both of their heads whipped around to look at the stairs where you would descend any moment. Sirius walked over to Remusโ€™s side. Siriusโ€™s hand lightly taped Remusโ€™s silently asking if he could hold it. Remusโ€™s hand held tightly into Siriusโ€™s.ย

You descended down the stairs. The shoes Molly made you wear fit your feet perfectly. You were not an expert in wearing heels but you did have some prior experience. Living with Lily Evans meant that you were her personal dress-up doll twenty-four-seven.ย

Your mothers' wedding dress fits you like a glove. You spent at least thirty minutes admiring the way the lace-covered dress looked on your body. The elegant bell sleeves reached far beyond your hands. The length of the dress fell all the way down to the floor. You felt like an elven princess. You looked like one too.ย

Your eyes landed on the two men standing in the pub. Even though their suits contrasted with each other, they had the same look on their faces. It was the look of pure, unadulterated love.ย

โ€œYou look,โ€ Sirius and Remus said as they looked you up and down, โ€œwow.โ€ They were at a loss for words. Your beauty could rival that of any model on a billboard in London. In their eyes, there was no one as beautiful as you.ย

โ€œYou two look so handsome,โ€ you shimmied your shoulders a bit. You were over the moon with excitement. The fact that your wedding was here did not feel real until this very moment. The moment when you were face to face with your soon-to-be husbands. You bit your lip to keep yourself from crying tears of joy.ย

โ€œGet close you three. Iโ€™m going to take a picture,โ€ Rosmerta said as she whipped out a muggle camera. The three of you got as close as you could and smiled. The flash from the camera blinded you all for about two seconds as your eyes finally adjusted back to the light of the room. The picture printed from the top of the camera. Rosmerta took it out and shook it a bit and put it on the counter of the bar to let it develop.ย

Molly looked at the clock on the wall, โ€œPeople should be arriving any minute now.โ€ She impatiently tapped her foot on the floor as her hands fiddled with the sleeves of her blue bridesmaid's dress. You were used to seeing her in oranges, browns, and greens but the deep blue color of her long wrap dress suited her very nicely.ย

โ€œArthurโ€™s going to faint when he sees you,โ€ you commented. Molly's cheeks grew red as you complimented her. Molly was truly a beautiful woman and an even greater witch.ย

โ€œYouโ€™re too kind,โ€ she grinned.ย

โ€œItโ€™s true, Molly. You are very beautiful,โ€ Sirius complimented her. Sirius sometimes felt jealous of the Weasley children. They had a kind and caring mother that wanted the best for them all. Sirius wanted that but the never said anything.ย

โ€œAww, stop it,โ€ Molly fanned, โ€œitโ€™s not my wedding day.โ€ย ย

โ€œThatโ€™s right, itโ€™s my aunt and uncle's wedding day,โ€ the bell on the door jingled as Harry walked in holding a moderately sized blue box. Since it was the holidays, Hogwarts allowed the students to roam freely around the campus. That also meant that they were allowed to visit the little wizarding village just a few miles away.ย

You hid behind Remus and Sirius. The guests werenโ€™t supposed to see the bride before she walked down the aisle. โ€œItโ€™s not that Iโ€™m not happy to see you, Harry. I am, itโ€™s just the guests arenโ€™t supposed to see the bride before she walks down the aisle.โ€ย

โ€œCome on then,โ€ Molly reached her hand out for you to grab it. You did and the both of you ran back up the stairs leaving Remus, Sirius, Rosmerta, and Harry behind.ย

โ€œActually, Harry we have something to ask you,โ€ Remus looked down at Harry who looked confused yet intrigued.ย

โ€œDo you want to be our best man? You mean a great deal to the lot of us and we were wondering if youโ€™d like to be an official part of our wedding,โ€ Sirius explained to Harry.ย

Harry stood there for a few seconds without saying anything. He looked down at what he was wearing. The suit that he found at the bottom of his trunk was a bit small for him but it still fit. Hermione would not use any charms on it claiming that he needed to learn how to do it himself.ย

โ€œIf I would have known I would be a part of the wedding I would have worn something a bit nicer,โ€ he chuckled. Sirius and Remus brought Harry in for a hug. Unbeknownst to them, Rosmerta had once again whipped out her camera and taken a picture of the wholesome moment.ย

โ€œNow, letโ€™s get this wedding started.โ€

-

The most famous piece by Wagner began to play. The song that most brides walk down the aisle to filled the pub that was filled with friends all waiting to see the three of you get married.ย

Harry walked down the aisle with Molly. Once at the altar, they disbursed and Harry walked behind his uncles. Sirius and Remus stood tall at the end of the aisle. They peered down the wedding aisle in hope that they would catch a glimpse of you once more. Not long after Harry and Molly's entrance was yours.ย

Your mother's elegant dress clung to your body as you made your way down the aisle. Wizards and witches all gasp and marvel at your beauty.ย

Hearing the news that the infamous Sirius Black was getting married to not one but two people made the Wizarding World erupt with gossip. Rita Skeeter somehow managed to wrestle her way into your wedding. She looked out of place with her paper and her hideous green quick-quotes quill. You were not going to let her presence ruin your perfect day.ย

Before you knew it, you made your way down the aisle and up to the wedding altar. Madam Rosmerta would be the one to marry the three of you. To prepare, she took a four-hour course that would officially make her certified to marry people.ย

You smiled up at Remus and Sirius as Rosmerta began to speak, โ€œwizards and witches, we come together today, in the sight of the divine and of you as witnesses to join Ms. Evans, Mr. Lupin, and Mr. Black in marriage. We gather around them now in this wonderful place, and we look on with love and hope as these three begin their new life together as one.โ€ย

โ€œMs. Evans, do you take Mr. Lupin and Mr. Black to be your lawfully wedded partners? Will you honor and cherish them; love, trust, and commit to them, through joy and pain, sickness and health, and whatever life may throw at you three until death do you part?โ€ย

โ€œI do,โ€ you nodded as the corner of your lips lifted into a smile.ย

โ€œMr. Lupin, do you take Ms. Evans and Mr. Lupin to be your lawfully wedded partners? Will you honor and cherish them; love, trust, and commit to them, through joy and pain, sickness and health, and whatever life may throw at you three until death do you part?โ€

โ€œI do,โ€ Remusโ€™s hands connected with yours and Siriusโ€™s as he smiled at the both of you.ย

โ€œAnd lastly, Mr. Black,ย  do you take Ms. Evans and Mr. Lupin to be your lawfully wedded partners? Will you honor and cherish them; love, trust, and commit to them, through joy and pain, sickness and health, and whatever life may throw at you three until death do you part?โ€

โ€œI do,โ€ a single tear fell down Siriusโ€™s eye. He was beyond happy. Twelve years ago he was locked in a dark cell. Just a few months ago he was back in that cell. But now, he was free and nothing could ruin his mood. Not even Rita Skeeter who was not so subtly whispering inaccuracies that most likely will be published to all of the Wizarding World.ย

โ€œAt this time, Ms. Evans, Mr. Lupin, and Mr. Black will exchange rings. The wedding ring is a symbol of binding. A symbol of attachment and of belonging, not of possession, but of partnership.โ€ย

The three of you have decided to not exchange vows out in public. Those were to be shared in private with your partners. You wanted them to know how much you loved them. You could care less what other people had to say.ย

Kreacherย appeared with three rings on a blue pillow. There were two simple gold rings and a simple gold diamond ring. It was smaller than your engagement ring but it was still beautiful.ย

Sirius and Remus picked up the simple gold diamond ring and slid it onto your ring finger. It stacked perfectly on top of your engagement ring.ย

You and Sirius picked up one of the simple gold rings and slid it on Remusโ€™s ring finger. You and Remus did the same to Sirius.ย

There was an eruption of applause. โ€œI am so happy to pronounce you partners for life! You may kiss!โ€ย

And you did. It was sweet and tender. Three lips pressed against each other at once.ย

-

The wedding ceremony had been straight out of a dream. Now, you were at your own wedding reception. You were right, the theme of your wedding had fallen under the celestial category. The white tent was decorated in different shades of blue and gold. The tables were covered in blue tablecloths and gold table runners. Little crescent moons and constellations floated in the middle of the table as wizards and witches indulge in the food provided by Edith Edens.

Harry stood up and hit a fork to his glass, commanding attention, โ€œIf I may, I think itโ€™s tradition for the best man to speak at the wedding. When I first met my aunt, I didnโ€™t know she existed. Yes, I did see pictures of her with my mother but truth be told, I didnโ€™t know she was my mother's twin. My aunt Petunia never once mentioned her. So you can imagine my surprise in my third year when I hear that the new muggle studies professor had the same maiden name as my mother,โ€ Harry chuckled.ย ย

โ€œTurns out, she was the person I never knew I needed. She is kind and smart and incredibly loyal.โ€ Harry nodded towards you. You put a hand over your heart and smiled softly at him. โ€œNow, to the other experienced professor in the room,โ€ Harry turned his attention towards Remus.ย

โ€œRemus Lupin or now, Remus Evans-Lupin-Black. Merlin thatโ€™s a tongue twister,โ€ the crowd erupted into more laughter. Harry was a real crowd-pleaser.ย

โ€œAnyways, he taught me almost everything useful that I know. He is an amazing man and a great wizard and I have the pleasure to have him in my family.โ€ย

โ€œNow, last but not least, Sirius Evans-Lupin-Black. When I first heard your name, it was everything bad. There was nothing good out there about you. I hated you because I thought you got my parents killed. Turns out you were innocent the entire time. Youโ€™re finally getting the life and the love you deserve,โ€ Harry raised his glass in the air, โ€œto the Evans-Lupin-Blacks!โ€

โ€œTo the Evans-Lupin-Blacks!โ€ the guest chanted.ย

The rest of the night felt like a dream. You felt like you were floating, whether you were dancing or not.ย

โ€œWas this not the best Christmas gift ever?โ€ you asked as you watched everyone dancing on the dance floor. Your hands were holding onto Remusโ€™s right hand and Siriusโ€™s left one. The dreams that you had of getting married as a little girl had come true.ย

โ€œI kind of forgot it was Christmas,โ€ Remus said. He was too preoccupied with the wedding bliss that he had forgotten one of the most popular holidays. โ€œSame,โ€ Sirius nodded his head.

โ€œHey look, Harry's dancing with Ginny,โ€ Sirius said as he sat up straighter in his chair and pointed his finger at your nephew and the youngest Weasley child.ย

For a split second, they looked like a couple you once knew. โ€œDonโ€™t they look like-โ€ย

You didnโ€™t have to finish your sentence for them to understand who you were talking about. James and Lily Potter.

โ€œEveryone weโ€™ve lost, theyโ€™re here with us,โ€ you looked around you. โ€œI know my twin sister. She wouldn't miss my wedding for the world.โ€ย

โ€œEven in death?โ€ Remus asked.ย

โ€œEven in death,โ€ you nodded.ย

You breathed out of your nose as you laid your head on Siriusโ€™s shoulder. The three of you swayed to the music that was playing. You loved every single moment of today. The only thing that made you sad was the fact that there was only one family member at your wedding.ย

Your older sister absolutely did not want to mix with your kind whatsoever so she didnโ€™t come. Your twin sister and your brother-in-law were dead. As were your, Remus, and Siriusโ€™s parents. Most of your families were dead or disowned. It was a sad life for the Evans-Lupin-Blacks.

Still, today was a special day. The Christmas of nineteen ninety-six will always be remembered as the day you married the loves of your life.ย
