THE morning had been peaceful. Your coffee had been brewed perfectly thanks to the house elves, your hair had been easy to style this morning, and your skin was extra dewey. You were practically glowing and nothing could ruin your mood.Β

β€œHe's been sighted! Sirius Black, he’s been sighted,” the voice of Seamus Finnigan, a third-year Gryffindor, rang through the great hall.Β

β€œBloody hell,” you muttered under your breath. Your mood had easily turned sour. You put your head in your hands and bit your lip. You were so god damned overwhelmed with everyone and their gossip. Then you remembered the dog from last week. The same dog that looked exactly like Sirius’s animagus.Β

Remus had a special surprise for his classes today. Instead of the regular, old, and boring lessons that were required by ministry standards, he was going to have a more interactive lesson.Β

He leads his students to the staff room where the main focus of his lesson is located. After a rather unfriendly conversation with Professor Snape, he motions for Neville to begin the demonstration and his lesson begins. Student after student comes up to face the boggart. Some quickly mutter the spell β€˜riddikulus’ and scurry off to cower behind their friends.Β

Lupin was amused by the array of student fears. From Hermione Granger's boggart of Professor McGonagall telling her that she was a failure to Ron Weasley’s boggart of an Aragog, also known as a giant spider.Β

Remus had been watching his students intently just in case something were to go wrong. He wasn’t planning on interfering with this lesson until one particular student walked up to the front of the like. Harry Potter walked nervously up towards the wardrobe, patiently waiting for the boggart to take its shape. To save the other students from coming face to face with a boggart version of the Dark Lord that met his demise at the hands of the young boy, he pushed himself in front of the young boy. Remus caught a glimpse of Harry’s boggart. It wasn’t what he thought it would be. The dementor that tormented Harry earlier in the year had turned into Remus’s biggest fear.Β

The full moon.Β

Luckily Remus was quick on his feet. He cast the spell that sent the boggart back into the wardrobe and dismissed class earlier than expected. Many students groaned due to the fact that they didn’t get a chance to see what their boggart would have been.Β

Remus started the walk back to his classroom. The walk was long but it allowed Remus the chance to clear his head. Once Remus was back in his classroom, he made his way to his desk in the front and put his head in his hands. How could he be so stupid, he thought, everyone’s seen your boggart and now they’re all one step closer to finding out that you’re a bloody werewolf.Β

Moments later you walk in and Merlin was Remus glad to see you.Β

β€œI am so glad to see you,” he sighed.Β

You chuckled and sat on his lap, β€œAnd why’s that?” you asked.Β

Remus retold you all of the events that happened during his classes.Β

β€œThat’s awful, Rem. I’m sorry you had to go through that,” you ran your hands through his hair, messing it up a bit.

β€œIt’s not your fault,” you put your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes, β€œhow was your day love?” he asked

β€œSame old same old. Muggle studies can get really boring if you already know the answer to everything.”

β€œYou’re supposed to know the answer to everything, love. You’re the teacher,” he smiled. Β

He snaked his arms around you. In this moment of tranquility, you couldn’t help but remember the news you heard this morning. Β

β€œRemus,” you sighed, β€œDid you hear the news this morning?” you lifted your head off of his shoulder and looked at him.Β

β€œYes, yes I did.”

β€œThat dog we saw last week. Did it-did it remind you of something?” you found yourself asking.Β

β€œIf you're asking if I think it was Sirius’s animagus then yes, yes I do,” you were glad that you weren’t the only one who made the comparison. Then you remembered what he did when you two saw the dog.Β

β€œThen why did you pull me away from him? I mean you don’t think he actually did it, do you? I told you I have my doubts about this whole situation.”

β€œI-” he began but then the doors opened and students upon students filed into the classroom. You pushed yourself off of Remus’s lap and straightened out your clothes. Students began whispering and gossiping about what they’d just seen. Professor Evans sitting on Professor Lupin's lap. You began to walk out of the classroom, nodding your head to students that were looking at you on your way. Before you left you heard Remus clap his hands and ask…

β€œAlright everyone, what can you tell me about Boggarts?”
