EVERY Hogwarts student dreamt about the day that their seventh year would come to a close. The last feast before the end of the spring term symbolized that all the hard work they put in the past seven years had paid off. However, the class of 1978, had worse things to worry about than their stay at Hogwarts coming to a close.
You sat with Lily, Remus, Sirius, James, and Peter at the Gryffindor table for the last time. The conversation had gone from making sure that the boys had packed all of their belongings to everyone’s plans for the future.
“What do you mean you’re staying with James when you graduate? I thought we were going to live with mum and dad until we could get a place of our own,” you felt a bit betrayed by your twin sister, Lily Evans, sudden change in plans.
“Y/N, the war is taking a toll on me. The so-called “Dark Lord” has made the wizarding world unsafe for people like us. If this is how the worlds going to be then I want to spend my time with the man I love. We can still visit each other,” Lily replied to her sister that was now rolling her eyes.
“I’m worried too, Lils. I’m pretty sure we all are,” you sighed and places your head on Sirius's shoulder and held Remus’s right hand.
You, Remus, and Sirius had been going out for quite a while now. The three of you had been quite smitten with each other since fifth year. The thought of being the partner of two boys was quite overwhelming for you. Sirius and Remus had gotten together first, then they asked you if you wanted to join their relationship. As time went on, the boys and you created a nice dynamic that made you feel safe and loved. It was the 70s and the idea of three people being in a relationship - especially since two of those people were men - wasn’t even thought to be possible. Remus being the bookworm he is, discovered a book on ancient relationships in his father's study. The book mentioned polyamory which was what influenced Remus to pursue both you and Sirius. A few people supported the lot of you while others thought you all to be weird.
“Love,” Remus looked at you, “If you need a place to stay you can always stay at mine. You know my mum loves you.”
“You know what I want? I want a nice cottage in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and forests and rivers and animals. I want to live like I’m in a fairytale,” you looked at both of your partners, “And of course, I’d have my handsome partners with me.”
“I’d like that,” Remus pressed a soft kiss on the back of the hand that was holding his.
“I’m worried that my wish might not come true. The world we live in right now is a dangerous place.”
Sirius wrapped his arm around you, “We’ve got nothing to worry about. As long as we stick together we’ll be fine.”

It had been a few months since the marauders and the Evans twins had graduated Hogwarts. Lily and James had moved to Godric's Hollow and your parents had loaned you enough muggle money to buy your cottage in the woods.
The cottage was everything you’d dreamed it would be. It was the ultimate fairytale cottage. On the top floor, there were three bedrooms and a bathroom. The spiral staircase leads downstairs to the kitchen, a dining room, a room big enough to convert into a library, and a living room.
In an effort to fight against the evil that was threatening the wizarding world, the six of you joined the Order of the Phoenix. During this time, Lily received the news that she was pregnant. She and James were overjoyed with the news. A week before Lily and James went into hiding, you threw Lily a baby shower to celebrate something good in the midst of all this darkness.
“Y/N, James and I thank you for throwing this baby shower for us and little Harry,” Lily places her hand on her pregnant belly.
“It’s the least I could do for my own nephew,” you smiled.
“He’s going to be more than just your nephew. Sirius come down here,” James called out to his best friend. Sirius rushed down the stairs, almost tripping on the last step, ”Y/N Evans and Sirius Black would you do us the honor of becoming Harry’s godparents?”
You didn’t have to think twice before saying, “Yes! A thousand times yes!”

The war had been dragging on for quite some time now. Lily and James had gone into hiding. You hadn’t been in contact with your sister for well over nine months. You were sure that Harry’s already been born meaning that if Lily and James were in danger then so would he.
You’d been in the library in the cottage you called home when you heard your two partners bickering. You emerged from the library and followed their voices to the dining room. Remus sat with his head in his hands while Sirius paced around back and forth.
“What going on?” you asked, looking between your two lovers.
“Moony over here is accusing me of being a spy for You-Know-Who,” Sirius sounded frustrated.
“Sirius, I’m sorry but I can’t blame him. I mean we both love you and all but we can’t trust anyone right now,” you tried to reason.
“Oh, so you take his side! You think I’m going back to the Black family ways!?”
“I’m not taking sides! I’m just saying-” you were interrupted by Sirius.
“It sounded a lot like taking sides, love.”
“Let the woman finish would you?” Remus spoke up for the first time.
“Ya, just so she can berate me and tell me that I’m a traitor, a death eater, a spy. Just like you did! You know, You-Know-Who’s been recruiting werewolves for his side. What makes you so innocent.” Sirius pointed at Remus.
Remus stood up at such a speed that started you and Sirius. Remus stood up to his full high, towering over the both of you, “I would never betray my friends!”
“And I would!?” Sirius shouted.
Never had the three of you bickered this much. The only time you could remember the last time you all had an argument this big was when someone had taken Sirius’s hairbrush.
“Siri, you know he didn’t mean it like that,” you tried to repair what had been broken between the three of you.
“Lily and James most likely made you their secret keeper,” Remus pointed at Sirius, “Which means that if anything happens to them it would be your fault.”
“You’ve been pointing your fingers at me. What about her,” Sirius turned his attention towards you.
You were a muggle-born witch. If you were the spy - which you weren’t - it would have been almost impossible to get anywhere near a death eater due to your known blood status.
“Me!” you shouted, “You think I would sell my sister out to You-Know-Who? That’s rich considering that I am a muggle-born. He hates my kind.”
"You're the only pureblood among us. You fit the requirements!" Remus backed up your response.
"My blood status has nothing to do with this," Sirius kicked a chair over which caused you to jump a bit. Never had you seen Sirius this angry.
"It has everything to do with it! This whole war is over some stupid pureblood supremacy!"
"It's not my fault your a half-blood and a mud-," Sirius stopped before he could finish that word. The three of you knew what he was about to say. It hurt you to know that one of the men you loved was about to call you one of the most derogatory words in a wizard's vocabulary.
“Sirius I think it’s best if you go,” Remus crossed his arms.
“Fine! I’ll go because I don’t want to stay here with people who think I would ever betray my best friends.”
Those were the last words Sirius ever said to you and Remus before he got sent to Azkaban for suspicion of serving lord Voldemort, murdering 12 muggles and one of his best friends, Peter Pettigrew.
