Hari’s name is spelled as the desi spelling because he is Indian on his father’s side. The Potters – previously the Pohtams – immigrated to the UK before they had their son James. The Dursley’s evangelized Hari’s name by changing it to Harry but he changed it back after finding out through his Hogwarts letter(s) and Hagrid that it was once spelled differently.
Remus and Sirius, who get married, gain partial custody of Hari after Sirius is exonerated after Hari’s third year. He was exonerated because Aurors were able to get their hands on Pettigrew, but only briefly, and learned (part of) the truth, since in this timeline it was not a full moon when Pettigrew revealed himself in the Shrieking Shack, so Remus was able to help a lot more. The Dursleys maintain partial custody because they want Dumbledore to keep paying them for “taking care” of Hari. (This only applies to fics in which James and Lily still die, obviously).
Teddy Lupin-Tonks is a result of surrogacy and was born April fourth, 2022. Remus and Sirius wanted a kid, as did Tonks, so Tonks carried the child (which was biologically Remus’, obviously, because the Black family has enough incest already) and they decided to all raise him together.
A lot of people survived who did not survive in the books because I said so. These are including but probably not limited to:
Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Colin Creevey, Lavender Brown, Cedric Diggory, Fred Weasley. This list does not apply to all fics.
If a character stays dead you can assume it’s either because I hate them or I think their death was too important to the story.
If I obviously hate them but they’re not dead anymore anyway, I probably just forgot they were dead to begin with.
Hermione kills Greyback, which is true in the movies but not the books. I like this detail because she kills him out of anger when he attacks Lavender, which shows Hermione’s growth as a character since she used to resent Lavender for dating Ron.
Wizard is a gender-neutral term and witch is not used at all. WIZARDS AND WITCHES PERFORM COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPES OF MAGIC JOANNE DO YOU KNOW NOTHING???
Also the terms “Wix” or “Wixen” are used to refer to all magical beings, including those that are not wizards.
