Chapter 12
"I can't believe you guys are getting a dance lesson from Professor Snape." Smiled Cedric. To prepare for the ball, every student has to learn the Waltz and shit. But instead of doing year by year or something we have to do it house by house and the teacher who teaches the lesson is the house teacher so for Slytherin that's Professor Snape. "I know right. I'm going to laugh really hard." Chuckled Luke.

No one's POV*
When Luke and Juniper arrived in the common room, all the seats and tables had been pushed aside. Standing in the middle of the common room was Professor Snape. He has a very serious look on his face and also looks like he doesn't want to be here. Which Juniper also understands. "Boys on the left and girls on the right." Snape finally spoke. Luke quickly found a place between Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini. He has always had an easier time making friends. On the other hand, for Juniper it was a bit harder. Everyone thought she was a freak. Whenever she walked into the common room or sat down at the Slytherin table for dinner, a few girls would look at her and quickly turn to their group of friends and start whispering, in between looking at Juniper and starting the whispering back.
There were almost no seats left among the girls. It seemed no one wanted to sit next to her, finally a voice called out "Juniper, come here!!!". Juniper looked from where the voice came from and her gaze met that of Lola Greengrass. It was strange that Lola Greengrass would want to talk to her, she hadn't said a word to her in all the years she and Juniper had been at school. Even though they were in the same year and also had some classes together.
Lola usually sat with her group of friends together with girls who were always mean to Juniper. Lola was the only one of the group of friends who was never mean to Juniper. She had noticed, though, that Lola had been away from her friends for a few days. Lola and Juniper are polar opposite. Juniper has very long black curly hair while Lola has shoulder length platinum blonde hair. Juniper aesthetic is more on the alternative gothic side and Lola's is more clean girl aesthetic. Lola had many friends but on the other hand, Juniper was always with Cedric and Luke. And when she wasn't with those two she was with the Weasley twins thinking up a new prank.
The raven haired girl walked slowly towards the platinum blonde one. She wasn't sure if she would go. What if it was all a mean joke by Lola and her friends. When she finally reached the place she was still in doubt if she would put herself down. After thinking for a few seconds, she set her down on the couch anyway. "Hi." Lola smiled kindly. "Hey?" Said Juniper not knowing if she would talk to the girl though.
"If you've been paying attention this past month you know it will be Yule Ball in a few weeks." Snape sighed as everyone sat down. "And that's why, unfortunately, I have to teach you to dance." Everyone sighed, no ones glad we got Snape. Snape ignored his students' sighs. "You guys better pay attention. I have no desire to be laughed at by the other teachers because you bring shame to Salazar Slytherin." Said he with stern voice. He started talking again. But Juniper had no desire to listen to him. "God, does he ever shut up." Mumbled Juniper thinking no one would hear her, but a certain blonde girl heard her and giggled. "I don't think so." whispered Lola. Juniper had to giggle at that. "Miss Black, what's so funny?" Snape raised his eyebrow as he looked at Juniper. "Uhm-" started Juniper but was interrupted by Snape. "Perhaps you would like to teach the class how to dance."
"Why not." Juniper got up from her spot to the surprise of everyone and walked into the middle where Snape was standing. Snape scoffed and stepped aside. "Okay, apparently now I have to teach you to dance and not Snape because our Snapey boy is too lazy." The group started laughing at Juniper's comments. Snape didn't seem too happy about it. "So you need a partner, doesn't matter who, could be a boy with a boy, a girl with a girl or something else." Explained Juniper sitting to the class. "Luke." The brown-haired boy looked around confused for a moment, but eventually stood up and walked to the middle of the room. "So the dude put one of his hands on the girl's waist or something." Luke placed his hand on Juniper's waist. The Slytherin boys burst into wolf Whistles. "SHUT IT!" Juniper shouted and everyone suddenly fell silent. The girl cleared her throat and started talking again. "Where was I..."
"So the girl in the relationship puts her hand on her partner's shoulder." Juniper put her left hand on Luke's shoulder. The hand they had left they put together. Juniper nodded to Snape who rolled his eyes and turned on the music. Luke took the lead. Juniper followed him. They looked into each other's eyes and it looked like they had rehearsed the steps. After some explaining during the dance. When the music stopped, Juniper and Luke stood still and the common room bursts with loud applause. Even Snape was impressed, but he would never admit that. "Now it's your turn." Said Juniper. Everyone stood up and chose a partner and started dancing. Juniper stood aside. "Detention, tonight after dinner in my classroom."

Juniper made her way to Snap's classroom for her detention. She knocked on the door. The door flew open and a not-so-happy Snape opened (but when was he happy?). "Miss Black, you are late. As always." He looked down at the girl. Juniper was seven inches shorter than Snape. "And you didn't wash your hair, as always."
