MDZS X ATLA crossover fic in which MDZS characters get reincarnated into the ATLA universe. Chengxian pairing.

LANS

• Lan Qiren and Qingheng-Jun are reincarnated in Firenation, as descendants of Airbenders who survived the massacre from the Cozin Comet and hid among the heart of Firenation. 
• Pale skin, long dark hair, and gold eyes. Part of Firenation nobility (Dad was a Firenation general, their dead mom was the airbender descendant)
• Lan Qiren and Qingheng-Jun are just doing their duties as good lords of their holds and to the people they are in charge of, when QHJ comes across his wife who was also reincarnated, and the youngest princess of Firelord Azulon.
• Lan Furen, who is also known as the White Flame, is named Umma. QHJ falls inlove all over again to his ex-wife, and his ex-wife who also spots him in turn, declares him a traitor.
• Cue LQR panicking because treason is death, and his stupid brother was not even fighting the guards who were hesitatingly cuffing him.
• LFR presents her besotted ex-husband in court, and proclaims him a traitor for slandering her and her family as well as causing her grief, which made the court and her family very confused as fuck because they had QHJ investigated and what had happened was just their daughter/sister had the innocent man in chains while proclaiming him a traitor and enemy of the nation at first sight at him. Some of the people in court knows this, and are all WTF princess?
• "As punishment, he will be my prisoner just so his family cannot move against us!" and had told the guards to imprison the man in her private room. 
• Everybody in court are all 'What the absolute fuck'
• They try to change her mind, she does not relent and continues to make QHJ a prisoner just like he did to her in their last life.
• LQR relaxes and is just cursing his brother and sister-in-law when he gets permitted to visit his poor brother, and sees the stupid fuck relaxing and having the time of his life being a captive bride/trophy husband by his wife. 
• Yes, they married, and it caused so much confusion and chaos
• LFR has two sons, Prince Xichen and Prince Wangji, who are not benders and so are not in line to the succession of the throne. Everybody knows she has a husband, and her sons have a father, but after the day she has brought her husband to court and proclaimed him traitor and had him become her husband-prisoner, he was never seen again. This disturbing fact, and the fact that the Princess Umma's sons are no benders,  causes fears of the son possibly taking after their terror of a mother.
• Both of the weird as fuck QHJ and LFR have weird relationship dynamic that is not in anyway healthy, but they are good and loving parents to their children this time around.
• Lan Wangji is over the moon of having his family whole, complete and happy. Lan Xichen on the other hand, loves his parents but is weirded out by them and begs his uncle LQR and his mother's current family, to let LQR take them so Wangji does not get influenced by their weird parents. Everybody in the family allows this with the royal family and everybody who cares about them that they will be leaving the Fire Palace to be taught and mentored and guided by the great and venerable Wise Lord of (insert some big lands or territory in Firenation), Qiren.
• QHJ, LQR, LXC and LWJ  are airbenders. They know zilch about the customs and teachings of Airbenders and the Air Temples (they are in the Fire Nation) and instead, just teaches Lan teachings to any Firenation people who are descended from the Airbenders who successfully fled and hid from the genocide attempt by Sozin.
• The family, including LFR, is part of the White Lotus.
• LWJ and LXC are the ones to discover and help rapunzled!Jiang Cheng escape (we will get to him later...)

NIES and JIN

• Kuei is the oldest son, but his Earth King title and status is usurped by his second brother, MingJue, but he doesn't mind that much as he is interested in being a scholar and books and in his animals. Their youngest brother and the Third Prince, Huaisang, is just like him, more interested in art, gossip and fans.
• Long Feng is the reason for Nie Mingjue's usurping Kuei. NMJ is a man who prefers to be simple, fair and justice. He'd rather just be in charge of military and be a general and commander. Or even be the one in charge of the security. But NMJ seeing how his new elder brother is being played like a fiddle by Long Feng, usurps his elder brother, has wrapped him up in a thick comfy blanket with their baby brother Huaisang, with books and fans and paint and a bear cub to amuse themselves while he goes on a hunt for Long Feng.
• The Nie brothers look like Kuei, which made them look just the same as they did in their last lives. Dark tan skin, green eyes/brown eyes, and long dark hair.
• Nie Huaisang is glad to have his brother alive, and is even more glad he has another brother who is JUST LIKE HIM  and is so much softer than NMJ and someone he can run to to tell off NMJ for being too hard on NHS. NHS is more protective and paranoid and vindictive than NMJ remembers. NHS can't help it tho, who says he can't be a two-faced bitch who can plot and pull off a years-long fishing after said fish had his dear brother murdered? 
• NHS takes in charge of the Dai Li
• NMJ is the Earth King for a year or two, before giving it back to Kuei because he'd rather be in charge of security, military, and just train himself like the gym rat he is.
• Ba Sing Se knows of the war and how it is still going on, but behind the safe walls of Ba Sing Se, of their reliable rulers (that tend to change every now and then because the brothers didn't like being kid (woe it is to be their secretary...)) they could be carefree and careless of the war 
• The brothers know of the war but are not really interested in partaking in the war so long as those under their care were safe
• One of the generals and the very important Second Right Man to the brothers was Jin Zixuan.
• JZX is a very tired man who keeps running after the brothers because he is their second right man, and he is NHS bestie because both of them are a bunch of bitches. JZX is just the snotty mean bitch, and NHS is the two-faced bitch.
• JZX, who is Zixuan, actually has Firenation blood in him because of his gold eyes that paired well with his brown hair and yellow peony clothes. 
• Still a vain, snotty rich kid but the awkward kind because he's nice and kind and is just dumb when it comes making friends and communicating that isn't politcking.
• Zixuan who is also grieving the loss of his wife and son, and is trying to find them, looks like a brokenhearted widowed young man to the people in Ba Sing Se.

WEI FAMILY

• Wei Changze and Cangse Sanren are both peasants in Firenation who don't bend. WCZ is born in a farming peasant family and was feeding the cows and chicken when a wounded CSSR stumbles into him, with two Firenation soldiers intent on killing her because she was a peasant woman who can airbend. WCZ is a nice and gentle man from before and this new life of his, but he was also the Second-In-Command of Jiang Fengmian once, and a proud and loyal Yunmeng Jiang cultivator. Of fucking course he fucking knows how to fight and kill, and that was his wife they want to kill so doesn't hesitate pulling his blade on the soldiers and killed them so quick and swift they never even see him coming.
• CSSR when she realizes the fellow firenation peasant man who killed the two dumbass soldiers was the love of her life, cried and jumped on him, and babbled about apologies, i miss yous, i love yous, you stupid dumbass, lets make a-ying.
• Nobody comes to know of CSSR being an airbender with how WCZ swiftly disposed of the soldiers. 
• CSSR and WCZ married in less than a month, which raises eyebrows at their friends and family
• They decided to do travelling once again, cutting ties from the people in their new life as CSSR didn't want to necessarily hide being a Airbender and if word ever got out, she didn't want those who gave birth to her and WCZ to be hurt.
• They have WWX in just a year of being married, and WWX is so happy to have his family whole and complete, and loves the travelling, homeless vagabond life they have, with a donkey they named Apple, who was so eerily similar to his little Apple with his ex-husband LWJ.
• WWX is a airbender as well.
• the Wei family hide their identities and faces per nation very well that anyone who heard of a Airbending woman would never connect to the Firenation wife of a travelling merchant and just somehow knows how to chi-block.
• WWX being WWX, just can't help it but blow off his cover while losing control of his bending
• Good thing that the one who discovered him was LQR, who while relieved to know his once kinda-son-in-law but def Wangji's platonic soulmate was alive, his face turns ugly and sour to see a relieved but gremlin grinning faced CSSR
• CSSR and LQR dynamics have that frenemy-sibling relationship with CSSR
• LWJ and WWX are platonic soulmates, so they become besties with Iroh's son and LWJ's cousin, Lu Ten.
• WWX is that peasant friend to the Firenation Princes who doesn't give a shit and i rarely given shit after trouncing tons of experienced privileged Firenation men who may be older than him in Agni Kai
• Also because he's a genius and a very skilled martial fighting skills, the Royal family want him part of the military but because he's WWX and LWJ would not push him to anything he doesn't want to, he doesn't get to be part of the military and lives that free from any responsibility vagabond life
• CSSR and WCZ are part of the White Lotus and work with LQR protecting the many victims of the Firenation, both in and outside of the nation
• In one of the family's travels, they meet JFM before WWX was conceived. Which is a joyful reunion, but JFM is so over CSSR though, has been for years since their death and is instead asking help to find his San-niang. WWX being somewhere 12-13 preteen kid, they meet JFM again which is a joyful reunion for former foster father/guardian and foster kid/ward. He has 16 year old Jiang Yanli with him, who hugs him tearfully.
• WWX who also met the Nie brothers (who he is also negotiating in joining the White Lotus) meant also meeting JZX who is honestly, looks so sad and pathetic and weepy after askign if WWX seen JYL.
• WWX sees no Jiang Cheng though, and despite how much they've drifted afar and cut ties in his return to life via possession of MXYs body, his body becomes cold when he's told that YZY had took JC with her when she fled many years ago, and has JC holed up somewhere in the Firenation.
• This is the start of WWX journey in trying to free JC.
• With the exception of WCZ who looks like a total tanned Firenation farmer, CSSR and WWX are Airbenders with their grey eyes.

JIANG FAMILY + Yue

• Yu Ziyuan is one of the only daughter of a very high up noble family. Her new Father and brothers are part of the high council of the Fire Lord, one of the High Fire Sage, and a High General.
• Yu Ziyuan proves her worth as a very skilled bender and fighter, and becomes a renowned and feared Firenation General who has raided and killed off not only many prominent Southern Water Tribes, but also managed to infiltrate the Northern Water Tribe not only killed prominent Water Benders there, but also killed off the Chief and his wife and kidnapping the heir of the Northern Tribe to ask them to submit to the Fire Nation.
• But before the whole infiltration, murder and kidnapping people in Northern Tribe, YZY has been captured by JFM, one of the many Southern Water Tribe chiefs. JFM treats her kindly and nicely, and tries to woo her to become his wife again. YZY refuses because by this time, she has had years of hardening her heart that has been broken so many times, making her become a cruel, vindictive and cold woman. In her second life, she was born in a very prominent noble family, but as a bastard. Despite her bastardry, however. She is very much loved and treasured by her Lord Father and two older brothers. She has always known she deserved more, and in this new life of hers, if she's going to marry again, she WILL get what she deserved. 
• JFM wife-attic YZY like QHJ did to LFR (who also husband-attic him in this new life as payback) and despite how he's so in love and desperate to be in love by her, no non-con or harming happened. 
• JFM tries so very hard to woo her, being so gentle and sweet and polite while courting her.
• YZY tries to resist, because she has been his wife so many years and has suffered being treated a substitute for a ghost, pushed away, not needed nor wanted nor loved, and she couldn't bear to carry that painful love again.
• But then one evening with drinks, loose tongues and one of them being too honest and the other being emotional, while also yearning for each other, they roll together under the sheets, and so came JYL.
• Unlike the one in my twitter threadfic, you can imagine what kind of appearance JFM and JYL have, if they have same dark brown skin like canon ATLA water tribes or they have pale skin because they have different ethnicities / racial differences between different indigenous tribes. They just have that clear grey-blue eyes. Both of them are waterbenders, with YZY being a firebender.
• YZY spent 3 years with her kinda-husband and her sweet daughter, helping around the tribe which JFM became a chief of because he found them in the ice in need of help or are people of YMJ in their last life so they have an earth bender, a fire bender, and rare it may be, airbenders. 
• And then the Wei family visited with their 1 year old WWX, and YZY who was about to give in, suddenly had her walls slammed right back up with her heart freezing over once again as old fears and insecurity came back to taunt her. She knew it was too good to be true. Being so SMAD and anxious and the 'i will never let myself be hurt again' in her mind,  YZY runs away and escape.
• Knowing the fact that while she may escape unharmed and welcomed back to the Firenation with open arms, with just a stained reputation and mocking rumors to deal with, her son that was growing in her womb, will not live because of the parentage of JFM. So she devises a way for the Royal Family to let her dear A-Cheng live.
• She plans, and travels, and when she finally reaches the Northern Pole, infiltrates the Northern Water Tribe (which is so easy to do after dealing with them sometimes because the people in the tribe were so pompous and arrogant that they'd harass and bully the Southern Tribes) with a round big belly. Using her obvious pregnant state, she manages to make the guards and warriors of the uppity Waterbenders lower their guard down. 
• In just one night, YZY slaughters her way to the Northern Palace, killing off small fries that got in the way but specifically targetting big shots and reputable Waterbender families and warriors, every light in one household of her targets were snuffed. When she reaches the palace, the Chief and her wife fight her, but YZY who had prayed to the koi fish spirits for guidance, strength to endure, and protection for her son, was heard by the Spirits Tui and La, and proceeded to protect YZY against the chief and his wife, along with the reinforcements. In return for their favor, YZY takes the traumatized daughter of the chief with her when she goes back to the Fire Nation. 
• In just one night, she has not only weakened but also destroyed the security and stability of the Northern Water Tribe. They would never get back to that full power they had before she struck them down with her fire and lightning, not for a very long time.
• Words reaches out and when she gets back home, and face the court, very pregnant and ready to give birth, with a trembling and quietly sniffling silver haired savage child with her, she is given rewards and a title and favor for her accomplishment of basically destroying the Northern Water Tribe and making it so very vulnerable to conquer. 
• For extra blanket of protection and safety, she, in her very pregnant and haggard state, reveals to so easily able to wield violet lightning.
• She is given the title "Violet Spider" once again, and returns home to her relieved and teary-eyed family.
• She gives birth to her dear Jiang Cheng, who is clearly beloved by his mother that everyone in the manor knew to never touch him, say a word against him, and do anythign against YZY wishes unless they wanted to be burned to crisps. 
• There is no word of JC circulating around Fire Nation, and most of the people never know of YZY even returnign home pregnant. Some assumed she killed of the savage child she had inside of her. Those who know of JC living well though are part of the higher circle, but breathe not a word of him, not acknowledging him. Whether they think low of the only son of the Violet Spider, the General Ziyuan, did not matter. They assumed YZY was just like the Princess Umma, and had imprisoned the boy like a canary in a golden cage. Hardly surprising considering both women were best of friends.
• Inside the manor, is a JC who calls Yue as his sister. He is clueless of other reincarnates, of his father and sister, and knows zero about the outside world because YZY rapunzled him, with good intentions that with how JC can bend both water and fire, she fears him to be the Avatar and the world calling for his blood. The other reason that is also just as important is that she does not want JC to go through what he had gone through in their last life, of a father who did not love him because he was the son of his mother.
• Jiang Cheng knows shit about the outside world, and does not protest about it, and the filial son he was, obeyed and stayed at home. The servants served him well, and when his grandfather and uncles were at home, they dote on him well, and when his mother was home, she was all soft and sweet which she rarely allowed herself to be in their First Life. Unlike his childhood in his first life in which he was always so hard working, stressed and pressured with his duties and training and broken family, the second life's childhood is all about him relaxing at home, being doted on, pampered and every need and want was quickly delivered so long as it wasn't asking info or going out.
• But they were mostly gone all the time because they were important people to the Fire Nation. All he had was Sister Yue, who was very kind and sweet just like his late A-Jie. 
• Yue is six years old when she sees her family and people and home destroyed by the Lady Ziyuan, and at first had been devastated and very scared. But once the Lady, who had been so cold and cruel, reach the safety of the family manor, melted all that coldness and hardness, and became soft. 
• Yue is six years old and has vague and distant memories, and even distant ties to her homeland, that despite how the Lady trains her to be the leader the Northern Water Tribe will need, Yue can never feel the need or want to go back. She honestly feels at home in a foreign land, inside the home belonging to the monster that killed her family and took her away. She does not feel fire, and she often times does not feel like she belonged, but she is safe, and warm, and well taken care of. 
• Most importantly, Yue has to look after sweet Cheng-er who never saw the outside - even Yue was allowed to go outside, despite her dark skin and silver hair and blue eyes. JC looks the spitting image of his mother, except for his grey-blue eyes.
• Yue does not really feel the need to runaway, but she thinks she can if it's for JC's sake. She feels the same as the Lady, that Cheng'er might be the Avatar with how he so easily makes fire and bends water to his will, but becoming the savior of the world is a heavier burden than the one Spirits want for her to become the Chief of a land she has never seen for years. A burden Cheng'er did not ask. But Yue sees how he looks outside from his view on top of the roofs, always looking and always waiting, but never actually moving. Cheng'er deserved to go and experience the world. 
• Yue wants to help Cheng'er to be happy, and with the help of two unlikely friends, she was able to free him... IF IT WERENT FOR THE FREAKING AVATAR SUDDENLY APPEARING OUT OF NOWHERE AND WHISKING CHENG'ER AWAY
• Yue is very protective of JC, and basically is the JYL and WWX in his second life.
• The grandfather and brothers love JC and YZY, but the three men all disapprove of how their daughter/sister kept her son so very sheltered from the world, it was basically her making him a prisoner.

ATLA

• headcanon that the Northern Water Tribe is idolized and romanticized by the Water Tribes in the South for being powerful and whole and not divided compared to the not-so-advanced, divided into many smaller tribes scattered the South Pole, warring each other for territory and feeding grounds. Ironic actually considering that the Northern Water Tribe are so disconnected and divided not just from the world, but from each other hence why there are so much oppression and silencing and demands for submission and compliance to the rules. The Water Tribes in the South on the other hand, while divided, are very much close-knitted community, connected and personal and bonded to each tribe member, which was what the Way of the Water Tribes should be. 
• Azulon and Lu Ten still die like in canon. Ozai is the Firelord, with his heir Prince Zuko and Princess Azula. After him comes Prince Iroh, who disappeared from court after giving up on conquering Ba Sing Se where his son died. After Iroh, is Princess Umma. Her sons, Prince Xichen and Prince Wangji, are not part of the succession for being non-benders.
• Ozai wanted YZY as his wife and made multiple attempts to have her, but was rejected everytime because of her being a powerful bender, a noblewoman from a well-reputed and well-bred family, and also being powerful politically as well. He gave up and instead married Roku's grandchild, Lady Ursa, and had two children with her when YZY was assumed dead after years of silence when she was lost at sea. When word reached she was not only alive, but also had basically crippled the North, the whole nation celebrated and applauded her while Ozai burned in want to have her. It was disgusting to see how she was pregnant with a savage baby, but it was very cunning of her for playing the long game and using the fact that the water savages had backward thinking, which caused them to underestimate her, who was not only a woman, but a pregnant one. 
•   Ozai was very disappointed and angry. Ursa, he found, was weak and because he had a weak woman for a wife, he had a weak and non-bending son for an heir. So different from Iroh who had Lu Ten for heir. Their crazy sister, Umma, for all her powerful bending, gave birth to useless boys who couldn't bend for shit because she had a non-bender for a stud. It was good for him, it meant less competition. But Ozai lamented, if only he had waited, he could have YZY as wife and had powerful son with her. It was good that he had Azula.
• Years later after the disappearance of his wife and the death of Father, Ozai became Firelord. With no wife in the way, and a plan to remove Zuko out of sight, all he had to do was have YZY as his wife to have his powerful heir. He wants her, and he will have her, Ozai decided. And so he unintentionally neglects Azula, not grooming her and setting her against Zuko, who doesn't become so insecure when he has best cousins LXC and LWJ who looks after the brother and sister. Azula who looks up to her aunt, begrudgingly listens to her older cousins and thrives under the attention of a protective and dependable silly brother, stuffy cousins, an aunt who was so cool, and a weirdo for an uncle who loves tea too much. 
• NMJ's daughter is Toph, who is actually adopted after she ran away from her parents wanting to bind her feet when they found out of her spectacular amazing skills in bending. NMJ had a wife once, a wife he killed because she was a undercover agent of Long Feng that was to control him or kill him. The three brothers faked the truth of her death at NMJ's hands, and with the fantastic candidate for heir and doting Toph, bent and twisted the story that was supposed to be Toph being a long-lost daughter of NMJ who was taken by some crazy lunatic. Toph is able to thrive in an environment with love and care and acknoledgement.
• Aang will be so pissed and horrified once he found out about the new 'Airbenders' which CSSR and her husband, with LQR, was looking after. Basically a Gusulan Sect, but far more relaxed with rules. Gusulan and the Air Temples and Airbending teachings that Aang knew are actually very similar, but Aang's anger and freak out is him also having a mental breakdown because his home and family where gone, and the ones that he could call family and home, are strangers and very different with what he knows. Especially with Aang being taught that Airbenders are pacifist monks, the Gusulan which was called Cloud Recesses by the Airbenders thriving in the temple (some of them Lan reborn) do not shy away from using violence and murder and death.
• Ursa is dead, actually dead. Ozai murdered her the moment he can because he is just that much of an obsessed excited creep who thinks the moment he's single, YZY our queen would jump on him. Dream on. Anyways, Kya is alive, yey. But because Ursa is dead and Kya is alive, the universe demands balance, and so you can find Kya being a second mother to Yue and JC, and she didn't try escaping and plotting to return home because she was rescued by YZY and when she woke, while remembering the customs and teachings and etc of the Water Tribe, she remembers nothing of her past. No husband. No children. Katara is so not going to like this, hahaha. Didn't mention her because I only remembered her just now. Kya is instead at the Ember Island, taking care of an orphanage and the Summer Manor of YZY's family which they all go to when they can. Kya is working with YZY who works with the Lans and helping Airbending fire people a place of safety.
• Yue also has her hair dyed black to blend among the Fire Nation people, she has a very complex feeling regarding her identity, her birth, and the life she had in Fire Nation.
• Ozai burns Zuko and exiles him, because he can't kill him yet without an actual heir from YZY womb in his hand. But he does manage to get him out of sight, and sent on a ghost hunt. Zuko hunts the Avatar down because he wants to go home to his auntie and uncles, and cousins, and to his baby sister.

Plot Summarized.

1. LXC and Yue become best friends since he was 15 and she was ten, soulmates but no romantic interest with each other. With years they build affection, connection, and trust for one another. They are going to be come a pair, but only when Yue is like 24f and they get together when Yue is 28f because she got Busy. Not with sex, but with the North. LXC didn't see her as love interest until she was 22 and he was 27, and he was in denial and suppressing his feelings. Started courting her when she was 27. LXC and Yue love each other from the moment they meant because, Soulmates, but of course they were kids and minors and LXC had no interest in a girl so very young than him, but they felt connected by the power of being soulmates so they became best buddies. After one year of courting, Yue says yes to him because unlike LXC who had been dense and oblivious of his feelings, became dumb by being indenial and suppressing it, and then following her like a puppy when hes accepted it, Yue had always known she loved Xichen but when Xichen confessed of his feelings to her and asked for her permission to allow him to court her, Yue realized that her love for him also meant love of wanting to be by his side forever.

2. LXC and LWJ knew of JC four years later after Yue and LXC met, and asked for Yue's help to let them meet JC. Yue refused, first fight with LXC ever, as by that time she was very loyal to YZY and she sided with YZY that the outside was dangerous for JC. But eventually when she was 21 and JC turned 15, she sided with LXC and agreed to help because for all the good intentions and love YZY has, it was choking and killing JC slowly. So she convinced JC to convince his mother to let him out to accompany her to the Fire Temple. YZY agreed surprisingly, because she does see how sad her boy is without getting outside and that JC going outside wouldn't be so bad, not when it's at a remote temple, very very far from people. JC who was enjoying the temple and the trip to the temple. When Fire Sages came to talk to his mother, she had Yue separate herself and JC from YZY to avoid anyone ever seeing JC. JC and Yue talk at one of the remote rooms, and JC gets the hell of surprise to see LXC and LWJ inside. What the hell were they doing here?

3. LXC and LWJ each take turns of explaining to him that YZY, his mother, had lied. There were so many reincarnates in ATLA, and most often were accompanied with family. You and your mother are not alone. Our parents live, and so does our uncle. In Ba Sing Se, are the Nie brothers with JZX with them. In the South Pole, is your father and sister's home, who are waiting for you and your mother. WWX lives in the Fire Nation, trying to find a way to meet you and talk to you. We and my uncle are helping WWX and his parents to convince Yu-Furen to let you go and tell you the truth- JC is devastated at this. And runs off to find his mother to yell at her. How could she do this to him?

4. Just as JC run off, Yue and the Lan brothers try to follow JC but lost him amidst the chaos. Chaos was in the temple, there were yelling and screaming, air tense and full of unrest that was not by the hand of LWJ or LXC, and fire on the torches were snarling and dying. The temple was shaking, with cracks on the walls. YZY runs to find her ward and son, and is shocked to see her ward with the two Lan brothers, with her son out of sight. She snarled at Yue, prompting LXC to take a step in front of her. "You betrayed me, how could you? Hurt me all you want, Yue, but leave my son out of this!" Yue shook her head, pleading "I don't mean to betray your trust, but you have to see that Cheng'er is not happy - I just want him to be happy" YZY shakes her head at the foolishness "He can never be happy-" Yue cuts her off with an angry yell "He can! He can find happiness and be alive even in a world that wants him dead, I'm still here am I not? The Princes are well and thriving with freedom, and even Nanna Kya managed to escape death. Cheng can find happiness and be safe and alive, just like we did. What you are doing is killing him. I can't- I can't bear to see that look in his eyes again, Lady Ziyuan. I can't." Yue with eyes rimmed red "Just let him live. Let him free."

5. "JC is also free of being accused to being the Avatar," LXC interrupted "the real Avatar is an airbending child, reports that were confirmed two months ago, YZY". LWJ gives a disapproving look to YZY who bristles "Let Wanyin go to his Father and sister and Wei Ying. They miss him." LWJ said. YZY wished for Zidian to swing something at to these foolish boys. "You know nothing." The ground shook. the tempre walls cracking. YZY cursed and glared at the three, "I have no time for this! I have to go find my son!" YZY goes off to search for JC, who he finds in the middle of a fight, defending a child wearing orange from the Zhao and his soldiers.  There was also a Fire Sage, and the Exiled Prince Zuko on site. YZY's heart almost stopped when seeing her son, her son who she tried so hard to protect and pamper in this life, effortlessly defeating all the soldiers with a sword he must have filched from one of the men. 

6. "Stop." YZY says, forcibly calming herself. Be calm, be composed, don't let yourself be seen weak. Control. Control. Control yourself, Yu Ziyuan. Calm. Everybody froze and stared like a deer in headlights at her as she approached. "Zhao," and there was no more movement with that. "Whatever business you have here, you can finish as long as all of us are outside of the temple that is threatening to fall apart, right now-" Just as when she was about to grab her son, he flinched, taking a step back from her "Don't touch me!" he said, sharply. She froze, taken aback at his behavior "Cheng, once this nonsense is over, you WILL face punishment-" JC glared at her "I'm not taking any punishment. I don't have to listen to you anymore." YZY's patience was short "Cheng, this isn't the place or place-" JC laughed, short and bitter "When has it ever?" He shook his head before looking at her, making her stop when he stared at her with a look of betrayal and hurt and anger in his eyes. Fengmian's eyes. "How could you," He says, wounded "how could you lie to me, for years, you've lied again, and again. You told me nothing of Father and A-Jie, but they lived." The anger rose as do his tears "They lived! They lived and they were so far away from us. And where was I? Where were we? We were here, with you keeping locked up like that bird in a golden cage your dear friend got you." 

YZY voice rose, angry and defensive "I kept you safe! I kept you alive! Do not talk to me as if I didn't do it out of love!-"

JC took a step back "You didn't," he agreed, eyes cold and hard "You did it because you were angry and you wanted to hurt him-"

YZY screamed "CSSR lives!" she screamed, fire and lightning flaring and crackling from her anger "She lives and he would have me believed he would not set me aside for her, just as he did once! Your father had hurt you. He had hurt me. He chose that boy over you every single time. Do you not remember? You would choose him over me?" She accused.

JC looked at her with pained eyes "I love you Mother, just as I also love Father." Her boy's shoulders shook "You lied to me. You said they were gone. And A-Jie, you left A-jie behind. I understand your anger to Father, but did you not love A-jie?"

"JC!" YZY thundered, literally. She ignored the yelp. 

"General Ziyuan! Wanyin!" LXC voice was heard, and all of the men of Fire Nation stopped to look at the sound of the voice in alarm.

"Prince Xichen?" "Prince Wangji!"

Prince Zuko turned around with eyes wide.

YZY sees the orange clad boy with the airbending tattoos, and his Water Tribe companions, pale. 

"More jerkbending firenation princes?"

"Zuko! It's you!"

Zuko's eyes became misty "Xichen-ge. Wangji-ge." 

Prince's LWJ face was grim "Later," 

"Everyone, evacuate before the temple completely falls apart-"

The temple start dramatically falling apart, but they all got out. Or the important people that YZY takes note of, got out. YZY glares at Zhao to still his hand, not wanting him to start a fight that may hurt JC in crossfire. She ignores how the princes were reuniting. How the Avatar and his friends are close to escaping. How Zhao's eyes glimmered like the rat he is.

"Waterbender!" the Water Tribe boy exclaimed,

YZY turns to JC, whose scrapes were being healed by teary-eyed Yue.

Yue and JC will be punished later for this. For now, they return home. And she will never let JC out ever again.

"Don't come near me, Mother." 

JC turned around, eyes still cold and hard "Don't you even dare touch me."

"Cheng." She breathed out

"I'm so angry. I am so angry. I don't think I can ever forgive you for this." 

No.

"How could you do this to me? I can't understand why you would do this to Father, to A-Jie-"

"I was protecting you!" She snapped, but her voice sounds desperate "I was protecting you, A-Cheng."

"It was my life! My father and sister you kept from me!" He snapped, anger and face was so alike to hers, truly he was her son. 

"I didn't want you to be hurt again." She admits "I wanted you to be safe."

"That's not your decision anymore," he says, barely heard over the wind "you guys, can we hitch a ride?" 

YZY stared at her son with wide eyes.

"Uh, yeah?"

No.

"Great."

No.

"Yue, please climb up first" all chaos broke out as Zhao and his men went to stop the Avatar and his friends (and her son, her son, her A-Cheng, her little Wanyin-) from leaving with that flying beast. The two Lans stood to the side with the Fire Sage and their hand on their cousin, stopping the younger boy from joining in the fray. YZY stared.

When Yue was on the beast, JC turned around and proceeded to unleash all his fury and storm on the soldiers and Zhao. Fire bloomed from him like a lotus flower, with lightning and storm thundering over head, there were screams and shouts of pain, of bodies dropping to the floor in defeat. Water and ice came next, sharp and jagged ice and steady, flexible water.

YZY watched on as her son whom she had raised to be soft, pampered and sheltered (locked up) easily and quickly decimated grown man in a matter of minutes. 

Something in her chest, unclenches. Ease up. Loosened down. That straggling, choking, and paralyzing fear for his safe and health, just, went away. 

JC walks to her, and gets on his knees. 

"Mother," his voice was soft.

She didn't even notice she was on the ground and on her knees.

"I've grown and survived decades without you and father, without A-Jie and Wei Ying, and raised a sect from the ashes and raised a boy to thrive in the world. I've died a grown man. I've never needed protection from the cruelty of the world, not when I've already known it and survived it." His voice was soft and quiet, only for the both of them to hear it "I'm angry, but I'll forgive you. Not now, not so soon, but in time, I will. You are my mother, and for all the hurt you've done to me, I will still love you."

A thumb brushing past her cheek, wiping a tear. 

"I'll go see Father and A-Jie. And then I'll see the world. When all is said and done, I'll return home, to you." He kisses her on the forehead.

"I'll hold you to that promise," she whispers, slipping off her silver ring that she had never used in this life.

His eyes widened "This is-!"

"You better take good care of yourself, A-Cheng"

Her eyes are soft "I am so proud of you," Her eyes flickered to Yue, who was watching on from the top of the beast "Of you and Yue."

Her eyes then snapped to the men on the ground, and she snapped to action. Standing up, electrocuting men for an extra time for them to stay unconscious, preferably if tthey just never wake up.

"Go."

JC nods, before running off and leaping on the Flying Bison. 

"A-Appa!" The Avatar snapped the reins with both hands "Yipyip!"

The beast groaned before it started to float to fly away.

When they were in the air, YZY couldn't help her voice escaping.

"A-Cheng!"

Her boy who heard her, looked down, with eyes the same as hers, but the color of the man she hated (loved).

"Give my love to your sister, will you?" 

Her son nodded, and the beast started to fly away.

With the men unconscious on the ground, and the three princes of the Fire Nation at the side, YZY silently watches them all fly so far away.

"General Ziyuan..." LXC starts, the blasted boy, with a complicated look on his face.

LWJ nodded "You need to go also." 

"I know," YZY's said "but I won't"

The look of concern in those Lan gold eyes made her sick.

"Stop that," she snapped "and let go of your strangling hold on your cousin, Prince Wangji."

LWJ released Zuko, who was coughing. LWJ had a frown on his face "Sorry, Zuko."

"General Ziyuan, I really must insist that you run and hide yourself." LXC says, serious and grim "even if we had Zhao killed here-"  poor Prince Zuko went pale in hearing of his gentle older cousin casually discussing of murder "there's still chances that he has one of the men here run off to send message off what has happened."

LWJ nodded "He will brand you a traitor, and now he will get what he want."

Zuko blinked, confused.

LXC sighed "The Fire Lord has wanted you to be his wife for many years, General Ziyuan, and each time you rejected him has only made him more determined, but mad and obsessed. He will use this incident to trap you as his wife." Zuko's eyes widened in realization, face going pale in shock and eyes staring now at her with worry.

"You don't want that."

YZY agreed "damn right I don't," she sighed "but if I run and hide, he'll have my brothers and father killed. I can't have that happened." 

The sun looks beautiful setting down like that.

Night will come.

"I'll keep my family safe. My father and brothers. My children and their damned father." She turns to Zuko with a serious look in her eyes "Listen to me boy, your quest for hunting down the Avatar is over. Even if you caught the child and brought him here, your madman of a father will have you killed now I am going to be his wife. Stay away from the Fire Nation for a long while, keep your guard around your men you never know who Ozai has for a spy, and only trust your Uncle and cousins."

The Lan brothers nodded together "Zuko," LXC started "it won't be safe for a long while, and the war is only going to get worse. Azula will come with you one way or another, with the Palace becoming dangerous, she will be safe with you out here."

"Xichen-ge"

"You have to stay safe, Zuko" 

YZY looks over the horizon. 

"Fengmian, our son is coming home to you." She whispered to the wind, "take good care of him and Yanli."
