it was the responsibility that people would depend on him that terrified him

being alone meant no such responsibility

that was the good part

the bad part was irrelevant

that’s why he felt so terrified when people worshiped him
they gave themselves to him like it was nothing
it was pathetic
he couldn’t stand to look at them sometimes
they did nothing wrong and yet there he was, ready to cut ties at any moment
burn the bridge he didn’t even help building

that fear of responsibility paralyzed him

he wanted to at least feel sorry but he never did
