Phantom Lord Arc
It wasn't even hours before the news of Eisenwald's attempted terrorism reached the public, as well as the news of Zeref's demon and the formation of the strongest team in Fairy Tail, consisting of Gray, Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Happy, and, to the boy's surprise, Harry, since he was the one who helped the most in taking care of the demon and preventing collateral damage. And it all happened so quickly in just one day.
Then there was the 'capture' of Erza right after the visit from Mystogan and Laxus.
And let's not forget the Cursed Island of Garuna mission that Natsu stole.
Team Natsu had just returned from the S-Class mission after two weeks away, only to see The Guild destroyed with metal pillars.
Team Natsu followed Mirajane to the second floor of Fairy Tail's basement, the only place that hadn't been destroyed in the attack. The mages in the basement noticed the return of the group and immediately called out.
"HEY LOOK, ERZA AND HARRY ARE BACK."
"And Natsu and Gray are with her."
"Did you see what happened to our guild?"
"DAMNED PHANTOM!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO OUR GUILD!"
"We always had a bad time with them."
"LET'S GO AND DESTROY THEIR GUILD!"
"CALM DOWN! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE PHANTOM!"
Many mages seemed very angry at what Phantom had done and were out for revenge. Looking off to the side, the group could see Master Makarov sitting, having a drink calmly.
"Yo. Welcome back!" Makarov says quietly.
"We're back," Erza says at the same time Natsu shouts. "JI-CHAN!!! THIS IS NO TIME TO BE HAPPY!!!"
"Ohhh, right you are!" The old man says to himself. "How dare you do a rank S mission without permission!!!" Makarov shouts mainly at Natsu and Lucy.
You can see that Lucy and Gray were surprised to see Makarov yelling at them. Even more so when the old man raised his hand and shouted. "Punishment! I will give the punishment now!!! Get ready".
"THIS IS NOT THE TIME!" Natsu shouted, frustrated that Master was not taking Phantom's attack seriously.
He chopped off the heads of the boys and the cat while talking nastily under his breath, and slapped Lucy's ass perversely. The blonde was startled by Makarov's boldness when Mira blurted out and said. "Master! Wait!".
"MASTER. DO YOU UNDERSTAND OUR SITUATION?" Erza shouted angrily at the old man, while Natsu shouted shortly after. "THEY BROKE OUR GUILD!"
The Master sighs. "Calm down. It's nothing to get upset about." Makarov reveals, tapping his finger on his knee.
"WHAT?" Gray shouts in surprise. While Lucy exclaims in surprise, also standing next to Gray.
"Phantom, right? That is as far as those idiots can go. I don't know why they bothered to attack an empty guild." Makarov says as he drinks his glass of beer.
"An empty guild?" Erza asks Mira, turning to look at the girl.
"Looks like they did it in the night," Mira explains.
"Got it, so no one was hurt...how lucky," Harry says, joining the conversation.
"I agree," Erza says.
"There's no point in trying to confront someone who resorts to a sneak attack, let them." The Master says, waving his hand in a way to ward off evil.
Natsu hits the counter hard with his hand while yelling at Makarov, full of anger towards the Phantom Lord. "I CAN'T ACCEPT THIS. I WON'T FEEL GOOD UNTIL I CRUSH THEM.
"The discussion is over. We will take job orders until the first..." Makarov is interrupted by Natsu yelling.
"WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR JOBS!!!"
"NATSU!!! STOP IT!!!" The Master yells, frustrated with the young Dragon Slayer while slapping Lucy's butt again.
"Why is he slapping my butt?" Lucy says to herself, annoyed and upset she can't fight back unless she wants to get kicked out.
"Master... don't irritate me," Mira says, getting more and more irritated with Makarov's pervert actions.
"Oh, wait a minute... I'll go and take a look." The old man says, running away from Mira and Natsu.
"How can you be so calm... Jichan?" Natsu says quietly to himself, not understanding how the old man could be so indifferent to the attack.
Harry wanted to say something, but as much as he was the youngest S-Class mage, he still was only 6 years old. He didn't know what to say to the others.
"Natsu... I'm sure the master is as angry as we are, but a war between guilds is forbidden by the Council." Mira says sadly.
"THEY'RE WHO ATTACKED FIRST," Natsu yells at Mira, frustrated by the whole situation.
"This is beyond the pale..."
"If that's how the Master feels about the case..." Harry says, getting everyone's attention. "We have to accept..."
This led to the unhappiness of not being able to do anything about the desire to retaliate. Harry wanted to retaliate as well, but he knew it would get Ji-chan in trouble with the Council, who were waiting for an opportunity to ban Fairy Tail. The same could not be said for Phantom, who had attacked for some reason, and the Council had not gone after them. Not to mention that they might attack again.
Harry warned Erza about the possibility of another attack, Natsu and Gray were nearby to hear Harry's concern, and they spoke to the Master, who ordered everyone to leave in groups. After much debate, it was decided that Gray and Erza would stay at Lucy's place, who agreed when it was explained why, and Natsu would stay with Strauss, who agreed without any problems.
"Gajeel, I heard that you attacked Fairy Tail! Good job!" A mage shouts, full of satisfaction and happiness. The mage himself had long hair in a low ponytail, a simple shirt and pants, sneakers, and a traveling backpack. "I bet they must be devastated right now."
Gajeel, who was eating things made of iron, was beginning to lose what little patience he had left, especially with the mage who interrupted him while he was eating. Gajeel's appearance was what many would describe as rock metal, full of piercings and messy long hair that gave him a wild vibe.
"Well done!-GOH!" The mage go flying out of a metal pillar Gajeel had created and into the wall. Feathered murmurs broke the silence.
"What did I tell you about interrupting my meal? ..... Garbage." Gajeel said, standing up, losing his appetite. "Who cares about these stupid fairies? We are the strongest guild."
"The wheels have been set in motion. Excellent work, Gajeel." The Phantom Lord's master says, emerging from the shadows.
"You are very merciful, Master. Those rat bastards won't get out of their cave with just this, so I left you another gift." Gajeel says to his master.
"Well, well, though... you can't kill this person, no matter what." The master reminds him.
The dragon slayer gives his strange laugh. "Gihi."
MAGNOLIA CITY: southern entrance, park
Both the citizens of Magnolia and members of the Fairy Tail Guild were surrounding the biggest tree in the park, watching in horror as they saw three members of Magnolia's Magic Guild hanging by their arms from the tree. Jet, Droy, and Levi looked as if they had taken the biggest beating of their lives, unconscious and with no sign of waking up, a scene that made Fairy Tail even angrier when she saw the Phantom Lord symbol painted on Levy's belly. Gray, Erza, and Natsu seemed to be among those who were most disturbed by the scene, Lucy looked like she was going to faint at the sight of the three of them there, Harry ran as fast as he could in search of his master, which didn't take long and managed to bring him quickly to the 'scene of the crime'.
"Master...Harry..." Erza said, containing her anger as she looked at Natsu, who Harry noticed that he was about to go into dragon mode, something not good.
Makarov looked somberly at the three unconscious mages, running his hand over his face as he shuddered, feeling strong emotions of anger.
"The destruction of the guild I could handle, but no kinsman remains silent at the sight of his children's blood..." Makarov said softly, breaking the staff he was holding tightly to keep his composure. "THAT MEANS WAR!"
PHANTOM LORD MAGIC GUILD: Oak City, Northeast of Fiore
The members of the Phantom Lord were drinking and celebrating the humiliation of Fairy Tail when the doors to the guild's entrance were smashed open, creating smoke and sending one of the Phantom mages flying backward.
"WE ARE FAIRY TAIL!!!"
"WHAT!!!" a mage shouted in surprise, only to get punched in the face, thanks to Natsu.
"YOU BASTARD!!!" Another shout.
"ANYONE WILL DO!!! COME ON!!!" Natsu shouts angrily.
"DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY YOU WORTHLESS BASTARD..." Someone shouts, running to intercept Fairy Tail. "DESTROY THEM"
"THAT'S IT?" Gray shouts, grabbing one Phantom Mage by the hair and freezing another.
And just as Fairy Tail began his destruction of the Phantom Lord. Elfman punched his opponents, Cana blasted them with his magical cards, and many others used combo attacks or brute force for revenge. Harry chose to transform into one of his fiercest and most dangerous draconic forms, fanning the flames for Natsu while aiding in Phantom Lord's destruction.
"GET MASTER MAKAROV!!!" One of the mages shouted to his Phantom companions, but they couldn't, as Makarov activated the magic that made him a giant, he simply slammed his giant hands into his opponents, crushing them.
"YOU BASTARDS, YOU BROUGHT THE FIGHT TO THE SONS OF THIS MONSTER. DON'T THINK FOR A SECOND THAT HUMAN RIGHTS WILL PROTECT YOU."
"W-what strength!!!" "Soldiers are no small shit either!!!" "They are insane!!!"
"JOSE!!!! SHOW YOURSELF!!!" Makarov's master shouted, full of anger and hatred.
Harry didn't pay much attention, just using his wings and tail to destroy as much as possible, the boy and Natsu agreed to go after Gajeel for what he did to Levy and the others, but it was hard to find him. The boy was surprised when the Iron Dragon Slayer finally joined the fight when Master Makarov came out looking for Jose, his brother confronted him and managed to fight well until Gajeel distracted him by attacking both enemies and companions. Natsu saw this and intervened, using Elfman's face as a propellant to throw himself at Gajeel, he is thrown into a table which breaks on impact, only to use the distraction Elfman created when he argued with Natsu to see who would fight the other Dragon Slayer, hitting the pink haired young man with a metal pillar extending from his arm, Natsu was stuck in the wall thanks to the pillar.
"NATSU!!!" Erza shouted, not distracted, but making sure the young man was okay.
"For our guild, Levi-chan and the others..." Grabbing the pillarholding him to the wall with both hands and holding on tightly. "I WILL SEND YOU TO HELL!!!" Natsu filled with hatred, used the iron pillar to throw Gajeel onto the roof.
"LET'S SEE IF YOU REALLY ARE A DRAGON SLAYER!!!" Harry roars, throwing a torrent of the hottest fire he could muster at Gajeel.
Gajeel had no time to dodge, so his skin was covered in iron. The Dragon Slayer flipped in the air before hitting the roof, using the roof as propulsion towards Natsu, who was surprised but quickly recovered by covering his fist in flames and punching Gajeel in the chin, causing the aforementioned to fly to the roof again. The Phantom Dragon Slayer then brought his arms to his face, shielding him from Harry's claw attack.
"That's our Natsu and Harry," Erza says to herself, relieved. The other members of Fairy Tail just smiled at the scene, knowing that Natsu and Harry can take care of their opponent without any problems.
Gajeel showed arrogant bravado on the outside, but he was worried inside, knowing that he would lose if he fought Salamander and the Fairy Tail Dragon at the same time. "So. Is that all you've got, Salamander?" Gajeel says sarcastically with his braggadocio, his feet sticking out of what was left of the second-floor roof.
"Don't worry, that was just a friendly 'hello' from one dragon to another," Natsu grumbled, covering his arms up to his elbows in burning flames, and then a tremor was felt throughout the guild, catching everyone's attention.
"An earthquake!?" "W-what?"
"This is going to get ugly..." Gray says to himself, smiling with satisfaction at the fear that Phantom has begun to feel. Cana smiles smugly.
"WH-WHAT IS THAT!?" A phantom mage cries in terror.
"That is Master Makarov's 'Fury'. A giant's fury... no one can stop it." Erza replies, pleased with the expressions of fear that have taken over the members of the Phantom Lord Guild.
The mages stood motionless, unable to move due to the magical power emanating from Makarov, leaving everyone paralyzed. The magical aura continued to grow for another minute until something fell.
"WHAT!" "SOMETHING FELL..."
The Mages looked towards the small crater in the ground, Erza being the first to notice what it was or who it was. "M-Master...!"
"Ah... ah... ugh... argh... m-my... magic..." Makarov said between waves of pain and exhaustion, the fairy tail mages went into shock at the state their master was in.
"Aria-san's magic consists of taking magic power away from the opponent, or in other words, creating a 'void'. This victory is ours." Jose said from the second floor, smug that his plan had worked. The phantom lord was watching the second floor from the hole in the ground and saw that no matter how much Makarov fell, the fairies were clearing the ground with the phantoms. Jose didn't care much, but he was disappointed that the stronger fairies had not been defeated sooner.
Fairy Tail had to retreat after that, Harry used one of his larger forms, Smaug, to carry everyone back to Magnolia, but not without messing up the guild first, setting the building on fire and knocking the roof off with his tail.
"I WILL NOT LET THEM BRING DOWN THE GUILD!!!" Erza shouts as she's requipping her armor of Hercules. The armor in question is known for its super-defensive power, and the refit was used as a magical shield that was supposed to withstand any kind of extremely powerful magical attack, but it was never confirmed. Now, the theory was about to be tested with the Jupiter Cannon.
"ERZA!!!" Natsu and Harry shouted, running after her to try and stop her from committing suicide by trying to withstand the attack.
"NATSU!!! HARRY!!! YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ERZA!!!" Gray shouts, trying to reason with the two boys who tried to reach Erza. They couldn't because the cannon just went off.
Erza managed to stop the shot and was thrown backward, Harry caught her before she hit her head. Natsu and Gray ran over to check Erza's injuries.
"First Makarov... now Erza is unable to fight too. You have no chance of winning." Jose Porla's voice could be heard from the megaphones of the Phantom Lord's walking guild. "Hand over Lucy Heartfilia."
All the mages began to shout in protest, each voicing their opinion about giving up one of their members.
"IF IT MEANS SELLING A FELLOW MEMBER, WE WOULD RATHER DIE!!!" Erza's voice could be heard over the din. The other mages shouted in agreement, bringing tears to Lucy's eyes.
"OUR RESPONSE WILL BE THE SAME NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS... WE WILL CRUSH THEM!!!" Natsu shouts this time, bringing another wave of cheers. Lucy puts her hands over her mouth to stop her crying, but the action does not stop the tears from falling.
"I understand..." Jose says quietly. "THEN WE WILL GIVE THEM MORE OF OUR GIANT JUPITER!!! TRY STRUGGLING IN TERROR FOR 15 MINUTES WHILE WE LOAD!!!" Jose shouts in frustration, furious at the resilience and resistance Fairy Tail has shown in the face of danger.
The mages were surprised when an army of cloaked soldiers emerged from the walking guild and turned toward Fairy Tail, but these beings were not humans, but phantom soldiers. Jose Porla's magic, Shade, allowed him to create 'ghost soldiers' to fight his battles, which helped him since he didn't have to sacrifice his men when he shot them with Jupiter.
"15 minutes, right? I'll do it..." Natsu says.
"Natsu?" Kana asks, looking at him.
"We have to destroy the cannon, right? I can do that," Natsu says.
"Don't forget me. I want to rip that guild's legs off," Harry says, approaching them. "I'll take care of the outside, and you take care of the inside?" Harry asks Natsu.
"That's fine," Natsu says, agreeing to Harry's plan. "Happy!"
"AYE, SIR!!!" The cat shouts, grabbing Natsu by his robes and carrying him while flying at high speed.
"ELFMAN!!! WE'RE COMING TOO!!!" Gray shouts, running after Natsu.
"RIGHT!!!" Elfman replies.
"Take over: Dragon Soul: Fury of the Night!!!" Harry shouts his spell, taking the form of a small dragon compared to many others, but one of the most dangerous forms it had. The Night Fury had black scales with a purple tint, and its plasma attack was deadly. Harry spread his wings and began to fly towards the Phantom.
"LOKI AND I WILL STRENGTHEN OUR DEFENSES HERE!!! RIGHT!!!" Cana shouted to the group.
"Yes." The wizard agrees.
Lucy knew she couldn't stay there if she didn't want to get caught again, but she knew the chances were higher that someone would be waiting for her when she was alone. The girl knew that someone would be waiting for her when there were fewer fairy tail mages around to sneak up on her again, and she told Mirajane that when she tried to get the blonde to go into hiding. Mira saw sense and ordered Lucy to stay close to her, which the celestial mage easily agreed to.
She summoned the Virgin and ordered her to fight Jose's ghosts. Shortly after, she summoned Sagittarius with the order to assist Fairy Tail, knowing that it was not a good idea to summon two Zodiac spirits at the same time because of the magic drain, but Lucy knew that she had the magic reserves to accomplish such a feat for 30 minutes at the most.
From a distance, Harry could be seen attacking the legs with some difficulty, the Phantom Phantoms were trying to attack him, but the boy wouldn't let them get close. An explosion was seen...
BOOOOOOM!!!!
Natsu destroyed the cannon!
And...
The Guild has turned into a giant robot!?
Now Harry was stunned!
The hands of the Guild began to move and wrote a seal in the air. Harry recognized the seal thanks to his sister, who liked to read him all kinds of books since he was a baby.
Rupture Abyss? That's a forbidden spell! Harry thought frantically. 'A spell like that takes 10 minutes to complete and destroys half the city!!!'
Harry knew he shouldn't use this form, but seeing Mirajane being lifted by the robot's hand sealed his thoughts.
After all... better to ask for forgiveness than permission...
"FULL BODY TAKE OVER: DRAGON SOUL: LEVIATHAN!!!"
"HARRY! NO!!!" Mirajane and Elfman scream from inside the robot, dying of concern for their little brother.
Other members began to worry about the boy as well, all knowing the consequences of using this form, but it is still a mystery how Harry managed to take the form of a Leviathan. One thing to note was that this form used a lot of magic, to the point of rendering him unconscious for a long time. It was agreed that Leviathan Form would only be used as a last resort in emergencies.
Which became the case...
