Spin the Bottle

I had entered the Great Hall and decided to go sit with Draco today. I wanted to see if he really meant we were good yesterday.

I saw him sitting next to Miles and Blaise, so I walked up to them and took a seat next to Miles.

"Hey." I said, looking over at Draco.

"Hi." Miles and Blaise both replied.

Draco seemed like he was too busy staring at his food.

"I don't want to go to Potions today, I'm too tired to be dealing with Snape." I said, trying to make conversation.

"I know." Miles replied.

The rest of breakfast was pretty quiet, Draco rarely spoke the whole time.

We were eventually done eating and we all left the Great Hall to head to class. While we were walking I went over to Draco.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" I told him, walking up next to him.

"Sure?" He said, looking over at me confused.

"Well, when we were at your house your mom suggested you ask Marcus to let me join the team. Have you been able to talk to him yet?" I asked, with a hopeful face.

"No, I haven't." He told me.

"Oh, that's okay. Just let me know if you do." I said, as he nodded.

Once we entered the classroom, we all went to go sit down in the back of the room.

During class we were all put into groups, I got put with Blaise while Draco was paired with Marcus. So, I was hoping he took that as an opportunity to ask him about me joining the quidditch team.

Every so often I would try walking past Draco's table to hear what they were talking about, but it always ended up being about the project we were meant to be doing.

Class was finally over, so I practically ran after Draco when he left class.

"So, did you ask him?" I urged.

"Kinda, I think he said yes?" He replied, raising his eyebrows.

"Really? Thank you! I think I will tryout then." I said, excitedly.

"You should, you're really good." He replied, and I could tell he was being genuine.

"I still need practice though. Maybe you can help me?" I asked, eagerly.

"I don't know, I've got a lot of work to finish." He said, trying to make up an excuse.

"Please, it won't take too long." I said, trying to convince him.

"Fine, but just for a little bit." He finally resisted.

"Yay, let's go!" I said, grabbing his arm and leading him to the quidditch field.

Once we got there we were able to find a few old broomsticks in the storage area. So, we took them out and brought all of our supplies with us.

"Okay, what position are you gonna tryout for?" He asked me, as we made our way to the middle of the field.

"I was thinking chaser." I told him, as we both mounted our brooms.

"I'll throw the ball up and we can both play chaser." He nodded.

"Got it."

He threw the ball up and we both rose on our brooms. Draco had caught the quaffle first and made his way towards the goal. He was about to score a goal when I swooped in from behind and caught it mid throw.

I then made my way to the other side of the field and threw it right in the goal.

"Yes!" I said, flying back to the middle.

"I would congratulate you but it's only the two of us playing." He replied.

"I know, we're gonna have to practice with more people. Maybe I can ask Thomas and his friends to join us later." I suggested.

"Or I can ask the Slytherin team to join us." He said, as I nodded.

We continued playing for a little longer but it was hard not to have an easy win because it was just the two of us, so we ended our practice early.

"I'll go ask the team if they can join us after I'm done changing." Draco told me, as he flew down and entered the boys locker room.

I went to go change but I saw Thomas walking near the locker rooms so I went to go say hi.

"Hey, Thomas." I told him, walking up to him.

"Y/N? I was looking all over for you?" He responded, giving me a hug.

"Oh, sorry I was just practicing some quidditch with Draco. He asked Marcus to let me tryout." I said, excitedly.

"You were practicing with Draco?" He asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"Oh, well I just thought you'd want to practice with me since we're both chasers." He replied, with a confused look on his face.

"Right, I'm sorry. We're actually thinking about practicing again tomorrow. Maybe you can join us?" I responded, totally forgetting he was also a chaser.

"Okay, can I bring some of the Hufflepuff team?" He suggested.

"Sure." I smiled.

"Great, you wanna head to dinner?" He asked, signaling towards the castle.

"Um, I was actually gonna wait for Draco. I'll meet you at the table though." I replied, hesitantly.

"Oh, ok." He said, then walked off.

"You ready?" I heard Draco say, as he came out from the boy's locker room.

"Yeah. Also, I was thinking, it's probably better we practice tomorrow. I'm getting kinda tired."

"Okay, yeah." He said, then we both made our way to the Great Hall.

We got to the entrance of the Great Hall and started walking to the Slytherin table.

"Draco, I'm actually gonna sit at the Hufflepuff table." I told him.

"Oh, right, okay." He replied, then kept walking.

"See you tomorrow." I called out, then walked over to the Hufflepuff table.

"Hey guys." I said, as I went up to sit next to Thomas.

"Hey, babe. I was just telling them about quidditch practice tomorrow." Thomas said, scooting over.

"Oh, yeah. Draco was thinking of inviting some players from Slytherin." I responded, pouring some water into my cup.

"Draco's still coming?" He asked, giving me a look.

"Yeah, is that a problem?"

"No. It's just that I thought we were kind of done with having to hangout with him since you know, the whole fight."

"Oh, right. Well, we're good now."

"He apologized?" He questioned.

"Not necessarily."

"Don't you think he should?" He said, looking me in the eye.

"I don't know, maybe?" I said, looking down at my plate.

"Y/N, you definitely shouldn-" He had started to say but I cut him off.

"Please just drop it, okay?" I exclaimed, starting to get frustrated with the topic.

He closed his mouth and went back to eating.

We all eventually finished eating and decided to head to our own common rooms. Amelia and I had met up with Miles and Draco halfway when I heard someone shout my name.

"Y/N, hold up!" Thomas said.

I turned around and I could see him and Leo standing a few feet away from us so I walked up to him.

"What's up?" I said.

"Do you maybe want to come over to the Hufflepuff common room? We were planning on playing a few games." He offered.

"Umm," I looked over at Amelia, Draco, and Miles. "Can Amelia come too?"

"Yes." Leo responded for him.

"Okay, sure." I smiled, then went to go get Amelia.

"They want us to go to the Hufflepuff common room, let's go." I said, signaling towards Thomas and Leo.

"What about them?" Amelia asked, referring to Draco and Miles.

"Sorry guys, we're gonna go with them." I said, trying to pull Amelia away.

"I'm not going if they're not going." Amelia told me.

"Fine." I said, going back over to Thomas and Leo.

"Is it okay if Miles and Draco come too? Amelia won't come if they won't." I sighed.

"Um, I don-" Thomas started saying but Leo had cut him off.

"Sure, the more the merrier." Leo smiled.

"Great." I said, then went back over to Miles and Draco.

"The more the merrier?" Thomas questioned, looking over at Leo.

"They said yes, let's go." I told them, starting to walk back.

"I don't really wan-" Draco replied.

"You're coming." I cut him off. Then, they all made their way over to Thomas and Leo.

"Why do you want to go so bad? I'm getting kinda tired." Amelia asked me.

"I'm sorry, but they invited us to their common room. Do you really think we're just playing board games?" I exclaimed, giving her a look.

"Yes?" She responded, and all I could do was roll my eyes.

We finally made it to their common room and it was beautiful. There were plants everywhere and the color really made the whole place more appealing.

Thomas grabbed my hand and led me to the couch where Charlie, Owen, Ivy, and a few other Hufflepuffs were gathered around the floor playing multiple games.

Some were playing wizards chess, while others were playing all sorts of muggle games.

"Hey, Y/N." Charlie said, as went to go sit next to them.

"Hey, Charlie. What game are you guys playing?" I asked, looking over at the cards on the ground.

"It's a muggle game I learned called 'Uno'." He responded. "I'm getting kinda tired of it though. You guys wanna play a different game?"

"Sure, what game?" Thomas asked.

"I was thinking Spin the bottle." Charlie said, smirking.

"What's that?" Amelia asked, looking over at him with a weird face.

"It's basically a game where everyone sits in a circle and there's a bottle in the middle. One person spins the bottle and whoever it lands on, the other person has to kiss." I responded, while Thomas gave me a look wondering how I knew what it was.

"What? My muggle friends taught me how to play a few years ago." I shrugged.

"So, do you guys want to play or not?" Charlie asked, getting up to go find a bottle.

"No." I heard Draco say as both him and Miles went to go sit down in the circle.

"I'll play." Ivy said, looking over at Thomas, after she sat down next to her friends.

"Me too." I uttered, giving her a look, then getting up to sit down with them as well.

"I guess I'm playing too." Thomas replied, coming over to sit down next to me.

Amelia, Leo, and Owen also agreed, going over to sit down in the circle. Charlie eventually came back with a bottle and put it in the middle of the circle.

"Okay, I'll go first." He said, starting to spin the bottle. It spun for a while but eventually landed on Amelia.

"Oh." Was all she could say, but she eventually got up and went towards Charlie. They both were hesitant at first but kissed each other for a few seconds.

They went back to sit down and I could hear Leo mutter something under his breath.

"Okay, who's next?" Charlie asked.

"I'll go." Ivy urged, getting up to spin the bottle.

While it was spinning, I could see her looking towards Thomas, but I knew that if it landed on him I'd be furious.

Of course, with my luck, it landed on Thomas. She smiled and I could hear her friends laughing in the back.

Thomas looked over at me with a sorry face but got up anyways and went to the middle.

They both leaned their heads in for a kiss and pressed their lips together. After a few seconds, Thomas tried pulling away but Ivy pulled him in for a longer kiss.

I immediately felt a rush of anger start to consume me and I didn't know what to do.

Thomas eventually pulled away, looking at her with a shocked face.

"What the fuck, Ivy?" He said, backing away from her then going to sit down next to me.

"I'm sorry, I tried pulling away but she wouldn't let me." He whispered to me.

"It's okay." I assured him, even though it wasn't okay at all. "I'll go next."

I got up and went towards the middle of the circle. Once it spun, I was hoping for it to land on Thomas but a part of me wanted it to land on someone else to get back at him.

Though, I was shocked on who it had landed on. I looked up and saw that it had landed on Draco, of all people.

I heard him scoff while getting up to go in the middle. We both looked at each other and hesitated before going in for the kiss. Once both of our lips touched I felt a weird feeling come over me. Even though we weren't meant to be kissing I kinda liked it?

What is wrong with me, I'm literally dating Thomas. I pulled away immediately and took one last glance at Draco before I went to sit back down.

I had totally forgotten that Thomas had seen the whole thing so I looked over at him hoping he wouldn't be mad. Surprisingly, he had a calm look on his face so I decided not to say anything.

A few other people had taken turns spinning the bottle, when Thomas said "Hey, you wanna leave the game? I'm getting kinda bored."

"Sure." I smiled, and we both made our way over to the fireplace.

Thomas sat down on the couch while I laid my head on his lap.

"Are you excited for quidditch tryouts next week?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I am. We're finally gonna be able to play together."

"That's only if they let me on the team." I said, as I grabbed his hand and started tracing the lines.

"Of course you will. But, if you don't, it wouldn't be so bad getting to see you in the crowds during my games." He replied.

"That would be fun, and I'd get to wear your hoodies to each game." I smiled.

"I do love seeing you in my hoodies." He said, intertwining his hand with mine.

I looked up at him and sat up. We both looked at each other, leaning our heads in closer.

"You're eyes are beautiful." He said, looking into my eyes.

"Really, I haven't noticed." I replied, pressing my lips onto his.

He kissed me back and pulled me in closer with his hands. I immediately felt butterflies in my stomach when he deepened the kiss. I always felt safe whenever he would hold me like that.

His lips were so soft, which made me love kissing him even more. We kissed for a couple more minutes until he pulled away.

He then started kissing my neck while I leaned my head back and looked around the room to see if anyone had seen us.

"We can't do this here." I said, as he continued placing kisses on my neck.

"It's okay babe, no one's watching." He said, in between kisses.

I didn't feel comfortable doing it in front of everyone and he had noticed.

"Why don't we got to my room?" He offered, and I nodded.

He grabbed my hand and we made our way upstairs to the boys dormitory. Once he opened the door, he brought me to his bed and laid me there.

He got on top of me and started kissing my lips, moving back down to my neck. My head fell against his pillow as he pressed himself down onto me. I could feel shivers travel through my body as his hands made their way down my side.

His lips drifted back to mine and I could feel him start to grin in between the kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.

"You're so good at this." I told him.

"I can do better." He said, planting kisses down my body.
