After that horrible encounter with Lucius Malfoy, I had been owling Draco almost everyday trying to apologize to him and his father. He told me that it was no big deal, but his father's reaction told me otherwise. His father hated me even more now. So, after a few letters I had to stop owling him for a while because it was all too much right now. But, I had to take that off of my mind right now, because Thomas and I still had to create our plan for both Amelia and Leo.
All we had planned right now, was that Thomas was going to invite Leo to Diagon Alley and then I would invite Amelia to the same place. Thomas and I would both leave and Leo and Amelia would be left there by themselves. From what I heard from Amelia, she had been hanging out with Leo a few times, so this wasn't going to be any different.
From what I had heard from Amelia, she was expecting Leo to ask her out any moment. She obviously knew that it wasn't going to happen that fast, but what she didn't know was that it was. I'm sure she was expecting something big so I was making sure it was bigger. Leo knew about our plan and he told us he had already been planning it, so we didn't have to do much.
All we were gonna do was invite Amelia and say it was a friend thing, with all of us. We didn't have to do much, so we kind of got our minds off of it for now.
During the next few weeks I couldn't get my mind off of Thomas, after going to the Malfoy Manor I had hung out with Thomas way too many times. I had been hanging out with him almost everyday and it was starting to become a problem. For me at least, I was beginning to develop feelings for Thomas and he was all I could think of for the past few weeks.
Ginny was friends with Thomas's little sister, Harper, who was in the same year as her. Mrs. Weasley was letting her invite some people over so, I begged Ginny and she eventually decided to invite Thomas and Harper over.
It had been a few hours and then we heard a knock on the door. They went to go open it and it was Thomas and Harper.
"Hey guys." Ginny said, as she let them in. Then I went over to the door to meet them.
"Hey Harper." I said, as I went over to give Harper a hug. I had met her a few months ago and she was a really fun and nice girl. I would sometimes go out with her and Ginny to Hogsmeade during the school year, and even during the summer.
"Okay, I have a lot of things we can do today." Ginny said.
"Um, about that. We were thinking if it was okay if we just did our own thing." I said, pointing to Thomas and I.
"What, why?" Harper said.
"Well, because Harper, no one wants to hang out with you." Thomas exclaimed, as I slapped him on the head.
"No Harper, it's just that we wanted to do some other things." I said, and Ginny gave me a look, as I just shook my head.
"Fine, whatever." Harper said, and they both walked off.
"Ok, so, Draco gave me an idea." I said, as he rolled his eyes.
"Which is?" He asked.
"He said that I was a good quidditch player and that I should try out for the team. So, since you're on the Hufflepuff quidditch team. I was thinking maybe you could help me?" I begged.
"Um sure, I doubt you will be as good as me but I can try." He exclaimed.
"Nah, I'm pretty good." I said.
"We'll see about that." He remarked and then we made our way outside.
I had already asked before for the broomsticks, so they were already laid out on the ground. I got mine and Thomas got his, so we flew up to a certain height.
"Okay, why don't we try playing one round of quidditch and see how it goes?" Thomas suggested, so I agreed and we started the game.
The game had been going on for quite a while and so far, he had been winning by a lot. The only reason for that was that I was too distracted thinking about him, rather than actually talking/doing anything with him. So, during the game, he would stop me at times and he would show me different methods and tricks that he used during the game.
"Hold, on." Thomas said, as he had caught the ball after I "tried" to throw the ball into the goal.
"What now?" I asked remembering this was like the tenth time he had stopped the game.
"You threw the quaffle wrong." He said, and I just stared at him bluntly.
"How do you throw it "wrong"?" I said, emphasizing the "wrong".
"I'll show you." He exclaimed, then he moved towards me. He gave me the quaffle and then placed his hand on my hand. He moved his body from behind me and moved in closer. Then, grabbed my arm and there was basically no space between us. He started moving my wrist, showing me the correct way to move it when throwing the quaffle. Once he had my wrist at the right position, he then moved his hand to show me the correct way to throw it. I was so caught off guard by how close he had been to me, that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I heard someone call my name and all of a sudden I came back to reality.
"Y/n!" Thomas yelled, which startled me and I lost control of my broomstick, but I eventually got hold of it again.
"Are you listening?" He asked again, coming back down off of his broomstick.
"Yeah, sorry" I said.
"We can take a break if you want?" He suggested, and I agreed so I also came back down from my broomstick and he grabbed my broom and went to go put it away in the shed.
When he had been farther away, I immediately ran upstairs to Ginny's room. Once I entered, I only saw Ginny so I asked her where Harper was.
"Where's Harper?" I urged, sitting down on the bed next to her.
"In the bathroom, why?" She asked, suspiciously.
"I need your help." I exclaimed, as she looked at me confusedly. "I like Thomas, well I mean I have for a while now but I didn't really refer to that as liking, only just a thought. So, it wasn't really a topic of discussion, but now it's starting to become more apparent to me and I don't know what to do anymore.
"Okay, calm down. I don't think you liking Thomas is such a big deal, right?" She said, and I was looking at her as if she was mental, when all of a sudden I heard someone speak from behind me.
"Wait, Y/n likes Thomas?" I turn around, and see Harper standing there, and I knew I had just blown my cover and this was not going to end well.
"Well, not exactly like-" I had started, but Harper interrupted me by saying,
"No, you definitely like him, don't you?" She said, and I immediately shut my mouth knowing I couldn't lie to her.
"You aren't going to tell him, are you?" I asked, then she gave me a confused look.
"He hasn't told you yet?" She asked, and I shook my head.
"Told me what?" I urged.
"You'll find out sooner or later." She said, and I immediately got up and went to go look for Thomas.
I went outside, but he wasn't there, so I asked George if he had seen him.
"Thomas? Oh, last time I checked he was walking with something, towards the hill." He responded, while smirking.
So I immediately ran out the backdoor, towards the hill and in the distance I could see a figure sitting on the hill, with something else surrounding him. I eventually got there and as I got closer I saw that it was actually flowers surrounding him.
"Well, well, well Thomas." I said, smirking.
"What do you think?" He asked, as he got up.
"Well, I would've preferred red flowers instead of yellow, but I mean it's better than nothing." I said, jokingly, and he just rolled his eyes.
"You know, I was actually thinking of getting both but Harper said I was trying too hard, so she put the other flowers back." He said, as I laughed.
"I mean, you can't say no to Harper so..." I exclaimed.
I then decided to look around and saw lots of things, he had laid out a picnic blanket and he had a basket filled with all of my favorite kinds of foods. He also included my favorite candy, chocolate frogs. I did not expect any of this to happen, I mean a few days ago we had been planning a way to get Amelia and Leo together, but I never really thought about us together. Who am I kidding, I definitely thought about us together, but I didn't think he felt the same way.
"What is all of this for?" I asked, looking at him.
"Y/n... I like you, and I have for a while now. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't think you felt the same way. But, every time I look at you, it seemed like there was a spark and I knew you could see it too. I mean every day I would just imagine what it would be like if-" He started. But, I eventually interrupted his rambling.
"Thomas," I said to him. "I like you too."
