Skipping Class
"Hey y/n." Harry said, as he passed by me in the hallway.
"Hey, have you seen Draco anywhere?” I asked.
”You mean Malfoy? No I haven’t seen him.” Harry scoffed, then walked into the Great Hall.
I rolled my eyes then went to go look for Draco. I then saw him walking down the hallway with Amelia and Miles so I walked up to them.
”Hey.” I said, hoping Draco wasn’t mad, even though there was no reason for him to be mad.
”Hey y/n.” Amelia said, as well as Miles.
”Hello Potter.” Draco said.
“Wow, I didn’t think you called me that anymore.” I replied, realizing that he was obviously annoyed with me somehow.
”Yeah well things have changed Potter.” He said, then walked off, leaving Miles and Amelia behind. I then realized how childish he really was.
“What’s up with him?” I asked, scoffing.
”isn’t it obvious,” Miles said, as he saw the confused look on my face “he didn’t like that you were talking with those Hufflepuffs.”
“Thomas and his friends? What’s wrong with them?” I replied.
”Well I don’t know, but he seems to be annoyed with the fact that you are spending more time with them than him, I guess.” He said.
”Oh well, he shouldn’t be mad. I mean I didn’t do anything wrong soo..” I said, then started walking, as they followed behind me.
We then entered the Great Hall and then I went towards the Hufflepuf table to find Thomas, Amelia also coming with me.
”Hey Thomas.” I said as I sat down next to him and Amelia sat next to Leo.
”Hey y/n.” He said, with his mouth full.
”Is this how he normally eats?” I asked Cedric, who was laughing beside him.
”Of course, he’s never really learned his manners.” Cedric replied, patting him on the head. As Thomas slapped him.
We had been sitting there talking and eating for a while, until we saw Amelia and Leo get up out of the table and they both walked off, while laughing.
”What’s up with them?” Owen asked.
”They probably went to go snog.” Charlie said.
”In the middle of breakfast?” Thomas asked.
”I guess so.” I replied.
The rest of the time we had been joking about how they would both skip class, knowing that Amelia probably would but Leo wouldn’t.
”I bet ten galleons that they won’t be in class.” I said.
”Leo would never, I’ll take that bet.” Owen said.
So the next class I was waiting outside for Amelia, but she didn’t show. So I went in to go sit with Miles and Draco. I saw them sitting in the back so I went and sat at their table.
”Where’s Amelia?” Miles asked.
”She’s off snogging with Leo.” I said, while laughing.
”Leo? The Hufflepuff?” He asked, with a concerned look on his face.
”Yes, Hufflepuff Leo.” I said. Then I heard Draco scoff.
I rolled my eyes, then looked at Miles and he had an angry look on his face.
The whole class Amelia was nowhere to be seen. So I had been waiting patiently for my ten galleons.
Once class ended, I sprinted out of the room, towards Thomas and his friends, who I saw walking down the hall from the other direction.
”Was Miles there?” I asked frantically.
”Nope.” Owen replied.
”I knew it. Now pay up.” I said, putting my hand out.
He was hesitant but eventually gave it to me.
“I cannot believe he actually skipped class, he would never.” Thomas said.
“I’m proud of him.” Charlie said, as I rolled my eyes.
”Now where would they actually be?” I asked, looking around.
”I have no clue.” Thomas replied.
Then all of a sudden we heard a thud come from one of the cupboards. We all looked at each other, probably figuring out that it could have been Amelia and Leo.
Charlie, being the troublemaker that he was, decided to open the cupboard. Once he opened it, we saw none other than Amelia and Leo both down each other’s throats.
”Oh, come on.” Leo said.
They then both broke apart immediately and both of their faces turned red.
”Please do not tell me you guys were in here the whole time?” I asked.
”Well no, but it did consist of this the whole time.” Amelia replied, signaling them kissing with a smirk on her face.
“I didn’t think you had it in you Leo.” Cedric said, while laughing.
”Me neither.” Leo replied.
I then pulled Amelia out of there and speeded out of there so she could tell me what had happened.
“Soo...” I said, trying to get her to speak.
”Nope, not saying anything.” She said.
”What? Why not?” I asked, obviously wanting to hear everything.
”Because I don’t really know how to explain it and that is for another time.”
”Uh, you are joking right?” I said as I rolled my eyes.
”No, I’m being serious. I’ll tell you everything another time but right now I don’t want to say anything about it.” She said.
”Fineeeee, but I won’t forget to remind you.” I replied, annoyingly.
”Mhm.” She said, knowing that I will probably forget to ask by tomorrow.
The next day the whole school had heard of what had happened with Amelia and Leo and Amelia was furious.
”I cannot believe people found out about it, it only happened yesterday.” Amelia had been ranting on about it the whole time during breakfast, while we were sitting with Draco and Miles at the Slytherin table. Since she did not want to make it seem like the rumors were true, if she was sitting with Leo at the Hufflepuff table.
”Well why’d you do it then, if it was gonna be so obvious.” Miles asked.
”I don’t know what came across me, I mean I’m not mad about it but...” She said, thinking about what she had just said.
”I think it’s all a bloody idiotic situation, why would you ever go for a Hufflepuff in the first place.” Draco said, bringing down the mood once again.
”I don’t know, I mean he’a a really great guy, unlike others.” She said, looking straight at him.
”Judge me all you want, but I think we can all agree that Hufflepuffs are the last people you want to be going for.” He replied, shaking his head.
”Well, I think you underestimate Hufflepuffs.” I chimed in.
”Oh, really?” He said, looking more annoyed than ever.
“Yes, I mean they are one of the nicest houses. Not one person I have met from that house has been rude to me.” I said, maybe exaggerating a little bit.
”Oh really, I can name a list of people who have been.” He said.
”Maybe that’s because you...oh, I don’t know, BULLY children.” I said, almost yelling.
”Oh please, I only do that to people that annoy me.” He said.
“Yeah, cause that definitely makes it ten times better.” I said, rolling my eyes.
”If you don’t like what I do then why don’t you go sit with those filthy Hufflepuffs then.” He said, scoffing.
“You know what, I will.” I said, while standing up. “Amelia’s coming with me too.”
”Do I have tooooo.” She said, obviously not wanting to. Then she saw my irritated face and knew not to make me even more mad, so she got up as well. So we walked off to the Hufflepuff table.
“What’s got you so mad?” Thomas asked.
”Don’t even start.” I said, and they all eventually knew not to say anything.
Then Amelia mouthed the word “Malfoy” to them and they all knew that whatever it was, it wasn’t good.
