When the sunrises
“Would you like me to get the others?”
“No not yet. I would like to hear the story a bit more, please ?”
“Of course, my boy.”

They’d only gotten a bit through the book before Sirius barged in to do his daily checkup, James and Remus in tow. The sound of the turning knob made the elder potter look toward the entrance with a knowing smile.
Regulus rolled his eyes in brotherly annoyance. He’d heard what Sirius had to say whilst he slept. There was nothing to forgive, Sirius had done as right as he could by Regulus. He was there now, and that was enough.
“It’s our turn now old Flea-“, Sirius cut himself off as he looked at his now awake brother.
“You’re awake.” His eyes glistened with unshed tears. His nose and cheeks turning pink as he fought back a vigorous sob.
“Yes I am awake”, the younger said softly.
“Good morning, big brother. Did you miss me dearly?”
A single tear made its way down Sirius face before he wiped it away and threw himself at him baby brother.
“Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky.”
He captured the younger in a warm embrace and held him to his body tightly. Regulus hesitated a bit before his eyes welled with tears and with shaking hands he grasped his older brothers shirt in his hands.
To the other three, they looked much younger than they were. Two little boys fighting for each other.
