Chapter 5

“Not a word…I can’t right now.” Phoenix pouted as they moved through the traffic of the city. He was currently dressed in a pair of NCIS sweats and sweatshirt and his hair, which thankfully didn’t burn away framing his face. “I need to go home and see if there is any other clues there…”

“And home is?” Tony asked, since the safehouse had never been home for them. He was one of the few that understood that home could be a variety of places or simply people.

“West Country, England…” Phoenix sighed as he looked at the other two.

“You want to travel to England when you’re supposed to be in witness protection?” Derek raised an eyebrow before shrugging. “You know what fuck that we’re going. The protection wasn’t working, and we know that you’re able to defend yourself.” They’d sparred with him when he got to pent up with the frustration of what he was reading and making sense of what he was reading. Derek pulled out his phone as it began ringing. “The team is being seconded to Interpol and Scotland Yard…” He said as he started driving the SUV they were in toward the airport that had the BAU jet in holding, it also held the private jet that he’d found out Phoenix owned. “Your Uncle will be joinin us.”

“Fun times…” Phoenix sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “Just as long as I don’t have to deal with the asshats who are the traitors.”

“No worries there…” Tony smirked. “I’m sure your uncle and the others will be giving them hell, and likely the actions of Director Granger keeping the president on the secret line helped with that action happening.” He chuckled as Phoenix seemed to jump at the unknown that he’d just learned. “Now what’s in West Country, England…”

“The combined Potter-Black Manor that my father and godfather had renovated. It was where they did all the work in secret to help take down Taggart in the first place. They tried to do the investigation at the Yard but ended up discovering that there was a mole in place, though they couldn’t find who it was, they moved everything to the Manor and went to work there.” Phoenix sighed, he knew they all had go-bags in the vehicle, it was something his mates had insisted on in case they had to do a quick leave. Phoenix was also always carrying all his paperwork so that he could travel internationally without having to stop and pick up his passport. “Dad and Siri both had suspicions on who was the mole, but they could never figure it out…I wouldn’t be surprised if the mole was still in place if they couldn’t discover who it was before their death.

“What was some of their thoughts?” Derek asked as they pulled into the airport area, he saw the vehicle that held Hotch and Garcia pull in, he was glad that she was part of the group heading out though she rarely traveled with them. He’d taken a roundabout route so that if they had a tail they’d be able to lose it. He didn’t notice anything nor did Tony, but they still made sure that Phoenix stayed in the vehicle until more of the team arrived along with Gibbs. “They had to have an idea on who they thought it might be…”

“I’ll explain their thoughts on the jet…easier to share with everyone and get everyone up to date.” Phoenix sighed as he watched the other vehicles arrive.

It took another thirty minutes before they were able to get on the jet, they had to wait for the pilot to arrive that was cleared to take them and potentially hear confidential information. As soon as they could they moved Phoenix onto the jet with the whole of the team minus Gideon, who’d been held back to continue cases in the states with another Profiler team. The BAU team was joined by Rossi, who’d been brought out of retirement temporarily due to his connection with the group the first time around; Gibbs; and Doctor Mallard. It was a shock for Phoenix to see Doctor Mallard join them, but he figured there was a reason that they were having a medical examiner come with them. Turns out that when he worked in the Royal Army Medical Corps, he’d been recruited for an Interpol position, though he’d left working with them they did bury his credentials so that, if need be, he could be pulled back in, they wanted his view on a few of the suicide by cops that had happened in conjunction with the D.M.K. Cult as they’d taken to calling it.

After settling in and making sure there were no bugs in place the large team settled around the central area of the jet where the table was, and Phoenix pulled out the information he had while Penny pulled out her computer and made the connections needed to get any other information.

“So…I was explaining to the Tony and Derek in the vehicle on the way here…we’re heading to West Country, England…to the Potter-Black family manor which was the combined home after my godfather’s family attempted to disown him, his grandfather refused to honor it and lived longer than his parents and it was why he was able to get the title. The manor was the Potter Family home before that and is known as Hidden Glen Manor.” Phoenix explained simply. “It has housed many members of the government at times. There are no villages close enough that spies could get lost in. The closest one is a small settlement of the retainers and tenant farmers of the Potter Family.” He leaned forward and rested his elbows on the table. “My father and godfather both made sure that every single one of them was safe and protected as every Potter has before us…I continue to do so with the help of the majordomo of the house and his family. They’ve been a part of the Potter family for as long as my father could find…” Phoenix sighed as he thought of the family country manor, with its stone work walls, narrow tall windows, as well as the formal garden that had the slightest wildness to it.

The few times he'd been able to stay there with Sirius and Remus in the summers it had been amazing he’d had so many adventures and learned so much of his family as a lot of the Potter’s liked to come back there to visit even in death. He had been more than happy to stand by his parents’ wishes that Sirius and Remus retained their home there even after his parents were killed. It had made him even happier when he’d been able to continue to hold that his Aunt and Uncle were not allowed to enter the home for as long as a Potter was alive they were banned, after the scene they’d caused at the wedding and the damage that a drunken Vernon had caused it made it easy to make sure the staff never let them step foot into the house either.

“There is an office that my father and godfather were able to secure, along with a safe that only they knew the combo to, where they performed their own investigation that helped break the D.M.K. Cult’s hold for a time.” Phoenix explained as he sat back and looked back out the window to take a deep breath before turning back to the teams. “They were sure there was a mole in Scotland Yard…and all signs point to the mole still being there with the trouble that they’ve been having in getting the arrests of members to stick. Their research was locked in the safe and since it was on the second floor Sirius was never able to get back up there and continue to do the hunt. They didn’t let anyone at the Yard know they still had the investigative notes and information at the Manor. They made copies of everything. They also had copies of all their notes.”

“How will we get in the safe if they were the only ones with the combination?” Reid asked quietly.

“Having a spirit talker around is handy isn’t it?” Phoenix smirked. “Especially one that has a close connection with the two men in question.” The group had a little chuckle at that. “My father…” He looked over toward where his father’s spirit was standing with his arms crossed, he wasn’t happy that his baby was going to be getting into this mess, but he did understand why it was happening. “And my godfather both believe that the mole was someone close to them. Someone on their team, it was why they were doing the work together at the manor instead of at the office. James believes that it was someone that did the filing while Sirius believed it was someone that was on the investigative side of things. Personally until I see their notes I’d be unable to make my own conclusions.”

“What beside these notes is leading you to travel to the Manor?” SSA Aaron Hotchner asked from where he was sitting across from Phoenix with Spencer Reid right beside him.

From there Phoenix took the group through the information that he’d shared in the conference call and the reason that the team was seconded as they were. He also shared the feeling of discomfort with the fact that the safe-house was compromised within ten minutes of him storming out of the call after calling out the Directors of the FBI and CIA, with the director of the FBI being one of the few to know of the safe-house outside of the people around them and Agent Gideon. The team went through the brainstorming and different thoughts that they had over the information that was shared, though they found out that some of the information that Phoenix had given the others wasn’t necessarily from ‘blogs’ as he’d passed off but through the spirits that had come to him at the urging of James and Sirius. Bancroft’s sister had been pissed that he was getting away with things, she’d come and explained that her ‘mate’ had been chosen for her by her brother and she had no say even though her soulmate mark named someone else. His brother came straight out and told Phoenix that Bancroft had killed him when he refused to follow his teachings.

“So you know that Bancroft is the one behind all this?” JJ asked with confusion. “Why not just tell them that?”

“Because though Gifts are more accepted than they’ve been in years past in defensive and offensive measures, the gift of a Spirit Talker is non-admissible in court. There is no way to confirm except with another Spirit talker the information given. And we are one in 100,000 in those blessed with Gifts. Not only that but a lot of Spirits will only confide in certain people. I know that they only came forward to me because my father and godfather. They explained everything to the deceased that spoke with me and got them to agree to talk with me. Now we’ve just got to find evidence in the physical world that doesn’t rely on the words of a Spirit.” Phoenix explained with a shrug.

“So we use the resources before us. Is there a way to prove that Bancroft’s brother was murdered?” Gibbs spoke up from the seat he was in across the aisle.

“It was according to him blunt force trauma combined with strangulation; his brother hit him over the back of the head with a stone before choking him to death when the hit didn’t kill him. He burned the scarf he used to strangle him, and the stone was left out in the garden of the home that they bought together in the countryside leaving it open to the elements and the evidence to be washed away.” Phoenix explained, the spirit of the murdered brother had appeared with the marks of his death still on his body, he was currently haunting the home of Bancroft, even when the man moved he followed his brother not allowing him the peace of him being trapped in one place. “The sister, Eleanor, was beaten to death for being outspoken and refusing her ‘dominant’s’ orders in 1942. She had started to take birth control even though she’d been ordered not to…she was only 13 and didn’t want to risk an early death. Her dominant was 37. They were bonded when he was returned from war injured and was one of the ‘commanders’ of his division in the war. Bancroft gave them the permission needed as a way to ‘protect her in the midst of the war’ while he was overseas. He was then given command of the division and a promotion from the department with the ‘recommendation’ from the one who was given his sister. Albert had come home for the ‘wedding’ and when his brother attempted to stop the beating after the ceremony when Albert and the dominant chosen for her learned that she’d been taking the birth control, and also had taken methods to render herself sterile when Albert refused to stop the wedding…Hilbert Montgomery was the name of the dominant…and a right bastard. He was injured and discharged but it wasn’t an honorable one since it wasn’t while he was in battle…He was injured by a switch nurse that wasn’t about to let him have his ‘fun’…” Phoenix smirked briefly. “Even if she hadn’t taken the steps she had he’d have never been able to father a child thanks to the nurse’s actions.”

The team grumbled in anger over the age of Eleanor Bancroft when she was mated and the fact that her brother forced it to someone over half her age who wasn’t even her soulmate. They didn’t care that it happened in the 1940s even then the age of consent was 16, it wouldn’t be raised to 17 until 1950.

“Henry, the middle child, was fifteen and not yet able to go to war. Albert was already 20 at the time.” Phoenix explained. “Henry had remained home with Eleanor in an attempt to keep her safe until the war ended or he turned of age where he could join in. He could’ve joined as several others his age did and felt the call to do so but Albert had ordered him to remain at their home and protect Eleanor.” He pulled his computer closer and began typing. “Albert has stage three lung cancer and is currently receiving in home care arranged by his ‘closest friends and family’…he was returned to England by his family and is living in the ‘family home’ where he had lived with his siblings after getting out of the orphanage. The house was held until they were of age by the orders of the will left by the grandfather of Albert and his siblings.”

“Do we know anything more on that?” Derek asked leaning around a little to be able to look at the computer that Phoenix was typing in.

“The nurse is a submissive…she’s not been seen even by the company she works through since she was assigned to his care. The Grandson that arranged her employment made sure that it was a young female submissive. Michelle Roselyn Reese, age 24, petite at only 5’1 but strong…Albert Bancroft III, the grandson, explained that his grandfather was still able to move on his own or would use a wheelchair that he could get in and out of himself. He is ‘very independent’ and just needs someone to make sure he eats and takes his meds…”

“Is Albert continuing his grandfather’s work?” Hotch asked leaning forward as he studied the images that Phoenix brought up on the computer of the missing nurse and the grandson.

“I think he’s cleaning up the mess left behind so that his grandfather can have peace when he passes. Tying up the loose ends as it were…” Phoenix explained as he pulled up some more information. “As Miss Garcia found the murders or attacks have all been tied back with the cult…” He pulled up the list and highlighted things explaining the connections some more. “The main connection that Miss Penny might not have caught is that the attackers…are all descendants or family of those that were in the inner circle.” He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “There was a list compiled of the ‘inner circle’ as it were of the cult and followers of Taggart…the list though is not indefatigable…”

“It’s not what?” Gibbs looked up with a slight furrow to his brow.

Phoenix just gave his uncle a look that said he thought he was being deliberately obtuse, he had to bite back a laugh when his mom gave Gibbs a ‘Gibbs slap’ even though his uncle didn’t feel it, though it did show in his eyes causing Gibbs to narrow his own.

“Indefatigable…not readily exhausted; unremitting, in labor or effort; untiring…” Reid piped up with the definition and caused his team to smile indulgently toward him.

“So how do we do this?” Derek asked as he drew attention back to the list, which Nix had altered to show the names that had been taken out already.

“We find the next on the list and protect them…and then hopefully we’ll have someone at hand to keep track of the rest. Bancroft moved to the states and made connections there starting a business having a family all that typical things that were expected of him. If one looks carefully at the information gathered on his business it is only Dominants that have the positions of power, switches are the lowest, and Subs are the go-for’s of the company. They are also the secretaries; the company is under review for a large amount of unaccounted for money and a large amount of sexual harassment charges filed that have been ‘found unwarranted’ by officers that are now under review.” Phoenix explained sitting back some and letting the people on the flight study the information given. “The grandson has been known to also intervene when the reports come up in the company, as the CEO after his grandfather’s retirement…” He sighed. “Albert the third is the oldest of the grandchildren that have stayed with Bancroft. As soon as things started to cause waves he left the company in charge of his second in command and has moved back to England to stay with his grandfather. The excuse he gave is that he wanted to be with him in his final months.”

“You said it was stage three?” Prentiss asked with a furrowed brow.

“Yes…and with the right treatments it could possibly go into remission. But he’s refusing treatment because all the doctors that he’s seen are switches or subs.” Phoenix shook his head in disbelief. “He won’t take their opinion as fact and none of the dominants in the fields that aren’t part of his little cult want to have anything to do with him. He doesn’t remain quiet about his views. The few that he’s seen from his cult have told him the same thing that the switches have, he would walk out when a sub would enter not even allowing them to talk to him. He refuses to accept the truth.” He shrugged.

“What is the business that he started?” JJ asked carefully.

“It is a ‘protection’ agency. It provides security in different ways, such as cameras and security systems or bodyguards…” Phoenix sighed looking at the information on the screen. “It would allow easy enough access as things got more technical for him to get the information needed.” He took a drink of the bottle of water that Tony brought him. “This is information that isn’t readily known to many…When I was allowed for a short time back to my apartment with protection to gather my things and move out…I found hidden cameras in the bathroom, kitchen, office, and bedroom.” He smirked and let a little flame flicker over his hand. “I had fun with them…” He looked back at the team. “With the help of my father and godfather we were able to figure out that others who had been attacked have been ‘bugged’ as well. Those that went into the relationships to learn their places…” He closed his eyes at the anger of that train of thought. “They aren’t only bugged…their tagged.”

“Tagged how?” Several members asked in horror.

“Like one would a dog…they have an electric chip inserted under their skin to always be tracked by their dominants.” Tony replied, it was one of the times that they’d sparred with Phoenix after he’d learned that information, they really didn’t need his flames getting out of hand in the anger over the fact again.

They talked over more information. They brainstormed how they were going to deal with things, especially when they met up with the ones that were going to be brought in from the Yard and MI6. They brainstormed over who might be called into assist them whether it would be one of the double 0’s, that were supposed to be myth but everyone in the agencies knew were a fact even if they didn’t know who they were, or if it would be someone from the Quartermaster division. As they ate the meal that had been left on the flight for them after it was checked over for tampering, Phoenix wasn’t about to risk anything, they all found a place to spread out, thankful that the seats reclined into an approximation of beds. The long flight passed with brainstorming, getting to know each other, and sleeping. Before they all knew it the jet was touching down on a private airstrip that was attached to the manor and then getting into the vehicles that were kept handy for them.

Two days after landing at the manor they moved enmass to the Black family Townhome to set up their base there after realizing they needed to be more in the center of things.

“Welcome to Scotland Yard…” A woman said as Phoenix entered the office with Derek, Aaron, and Rossi a week after having arrived in England. “How can we help you?”

“I’m looking for Detective Inspector Lestrade…” Phoenix said without looking toward the woman, he was keeping his attention open on the people on the floor making sure that he knew who was where and what they were doing.

“He’s in his office…” The woman gestured toward the door of the glass office that showed where she was meaning. “What do you need him for?”

“That’s not for you to know…” Phoenix looked at the woman finally taking in her tight curled hair and her low cut buttoned blouse. “Do you try to entice confessions from people by flashing your assets?” He looked her over, noticing her knees and the grime that is in place. “Or do you use other feminine wiles to get your position?” He looked back at the woman with his head cocked. “You must be Sally Donovan…my father wrote about you in his journals…I’m so glad that he saw through you…” He turned his attention away and started toward the office that she’d pointed out.

“Now hold on! You can’t just come storming in here!” Donovan called out attempting to stop his group from moving forward when she placed her hand on his arm though he allowed a bit of heat to flow through it.

“You’ll find Detective that I most definitely can.” Phoenix sneered down at her before pointing to the wall opposite where it showed pictures of fallen Yard officers. “See those two men there. Potter and Black?”

“Yes they were both heroes…” Donovan nodded.

“They were both my fathers.” Phoenix sneered down at her. “Allow me to actually introduce myself, since you’ve lost your ability to have manners. I’m Doctor Phoenix Potter-Black.” He gave a dramatic little bow. "I’m here to meet with Detective Inspector Lestrade on the matter of the Death Mark Killer cult as authorized by the Queen herself.” Phoenix pulled her fingers off his arm with only two of his own barely touching her as if he would be contaminated with the touch. “Now my fellows here and I are here to finally put an end to the blasted cult and cut off its head as you will.” He looked at the ones that came with him, “I still say they’re like HYDRA in the Captain America comics my godfather enjoyed…”

“So you say…” Derek smirked in return.

“These are Special Agents Derek Morgan, Aaron Hotchner, and David Rossi from the Behavioral Analysis Unit in the FBI…they with their team have been seconded to the Yard as well as MI6…now you will stop detaining us to satisfy whatever power kink you have and will allow us to continue with our work by moving the bloody hell out of our way.” Phoenix sneered at the woman and the other officers that had stepped forward when they saw Donovan move to stop the young man.

“What’s going on out here?” Lestrade had seen the other officers gathered and stepped out, only catching the tail end of the information that was being given and wanting to pinch the bridge of his nose and mentally thinking that this young man and Sherlock should never meet. “Can I help you gentlemen with something?” He looked at the four that had been stopped by Donovan.

“Detective Inspector Lestrade?” Phoenix looked over at the man with a raised eyebrow.

“Yes…” Lestrade nodded in return.

“I’m Doctor Phoenix Potter, you trained under my father and godfather before my father was killed and Sirius was paralyzed.” Phoenix stepped around the officers that were trying to stop him.

“We’ve got another Freak here Greg…trying to be all uppity…” Donovan sneered as she stepped around Phoenix again attempting to stop him. “Seems to think that the Death Mark Killer group isn’t gone…”

Greg pinched the bridge of his nose while Derek swore and put an arm around Phoenix to calm him down. The flames flickering around Phoenix’s fingers were a quick indication of how pissed the man was.

“Easy love easy…” Derek whispered.

“FREAK?” Phoenix snarled. “I’ve been called that a lot bitch, but I would think that a member of the esteemed Scotland Yard would know better than to call someone such when they represent the people of the city. The only Freak I see in this office Miss Donovan is you…” He sneered curling his lip and biting back even more.

“Oh Bravo! Someone else who is willing to put the imbeciles in their places!” A voice with a drawling tone spoke from the door leading into the floor space.

Greg let out another curse before looking behind the group that arrived to see Sherlock standing there in his wool jacket, scarf, and pressed black slacks and suit jacket over his white button up while John stood beside him pinching the bridge of his own nose with a muttered ‘we don’t insult the detectives’. Phoenix turned around and simply raised an eyebrow at the gentleman who was standing behind them. Derek bit back his own curse, for he knew this was going to be an epic friendship or an epic disaster in the making. Hotch and Rossi both hid their smiles behind the cups of coffee that they were carrying with them.

“You must be Sherlock Holmes…I was warned to expect you to pop in.” Phoenix smirked as he studied the man who was studying him right back. He then did something that was guaranteed to intrigue Sherlock he turned his back on him and ignored him as he went to talk to Lestrade. “We’ve got some information to share. I was able to get into the special safe my fathers had…I found their notes on the case and am wondering if I could run a few names by you and see if the people are still part of the Yard?”

“Of course come this way…” Lestrade hid a smirk when he saw how Sherlock was shocked at the actions of the man before him along with the others that had joined him.

“You’re not gonna let this bloody fool talk that way to me are you?” Donovan spoke up in shock as Lestrade gestured for the team to move past him.

“Of course I am…I’m not about to piss off an Earl with several Doctorates under him and who has information on the Death Mark Killers after they attempted to have him murdered…if you actually read your emails Donovan you’d know that the Queen herself has called for us to give his team every accommodation to help with this. It’s an insult to us that we didn’t get them all the first time before Lord Potter and Lord Black were so affected. Now return to your desk and work on the reports that I know you’ve not even started.” Lestrade bit back, he was tired of her attitude and inability to keep her mouth shut. “This way gentlemen…Sherlock you and John as well…don’t want you to be unsupervised out here.” He muttered the last part as he lead the way to a conference room. “Now I was informed there was more to your team that you were bringing over…”

“Yes, our tech analyst is remaining at the townhome where we’ve had the Quartermaster of MI6 come out to secure all connections between the pair of them. Trust me that is a pairing you don’t want in your computer labs here…the clodpolls back there would have an aneurysm…” Phoenix muttered at the idea of the Black Queen and Quartermaster being in the same space as him and Sherlock Holmes. “The others of the team are staying as protection or looking at the different areas that the latest attacks that have happened in London. We’ve come from the family manor to the townhome here in London…they are through all the paper and electronic files pertaining to the cult that my fathers were able to gather and that we’ve been able to compile. Doctor Reid is also figuring out a profile on the newest Inner Circle.”

“Newest Inner Circle?” Lestrade sat forward and furrowed his brow.

“Yes, we’ve determined that the Grandson of Albert Bancroft, Sr. that is Albert Bancroft the third is attempting to clean up his grandfather’s work. We’ve been able to determine that Taggart is the ‘mother’ of Bancroft’s three children.” Aaron spoke up as they sat at the conference table in the room. “Bancroft forbid Taggart from interacting with the children since it came about due to him being an abomination. The middle boy was killed because he had the same signs as Taggart did of being a carrier…they had a doctor come and test him before the tests became a big thing and they found that he was a carrier.”

“The daughter was again 14 when her father attempted to force the bonding like he had for his sister. This time instead of just the dominant being the one to kill her, even though that was what was said, it was her brother. Albert Bancroft Junior was her dominant…” Phoenix snarled.

“Well fuck…that’s just sick…how are you able?” Lestrade asked carefully.

“Spirit Talker…” Sherlock spoke up as he studied the long haired androgynous male.

Phoenix was dressed in a white suit with black shirt and green tie. His hair was mostly loose down his back, it looked more black then brown from the lighting, he had a small braid that started behind his right ear with a long red bead keeping it contained. He had his contacts in to make sure his eyes looked green. He was studying Sherlock just as much as Sherlock was studying him.

“You have a pair of color correcting contacts in. Most likely to make your eyes match your mothers instead of showing the silver that is typical for a Spirit Talker. You keep looking to the side where no one is standing in this plane but likely have a presence there that we can’t see. When something humorous is said to you from them you chew on your lip to keep from laughing out loud…possibly your father or your godfather…” Sherlock cocked his head to the side as he continued to study Phoenix Potter.

“You are just full of knowledge aren’t you…but you have no concept of socially acceptable methods of sharing that information. You blurt out whatever you want and hell with what others think.” Phoenix snarked right back. “You want to be seen as the smartest in the room to hide your discomfort being around so many people…you want people to think that you’re incapable of emotions, but the problem is you feel too much. You are one of the rare psionics that is more tied with the spirit then the electronic division.”

That caused Sherlock to glare at Phoenix who only smirked.

“You can pick up not only the surface thoughts from people but you also are able to pick up the slight emotional aspect. You’ve trained yourself to contain it all so that you don’t react. You’ve made it so that people underestimate you. You truly are able to deduce all that you do and you are truly very intelligent but your own mind at times frightens you. There’s a reason you’ve turned to drugs in the past. You blame yourself for the disappearance of your best friend…” Phoenix raised an eyebrow while the others watched them in shock. “It wasn’t your fault you sister Eurus…she trapped him she was jealous. There’s a reason she’s locked up…you’ve blocked her from your mind for the same reason. After all she had a flame gift and attempted to murder you using it by burning the family home down around you.” Sherlock startles and looks at him carefully. “Your brothers are protective of you…your youngest brother was born after Eurus was locked away…Addison…you protect him and Mycroft as much as they protect you…”

“That’s enough Dr. Potter.” Mycroft spoke from the door as he entered.

“No…I don’t think it is Mr. Holmes" Phoenix said after taking a quick glance at the door "…you see you wanted to protect him, but instead you are inhibiting him…by hiding the truth about your sister he questions his own mind. If his mind is not at full ability, then there is an impasse…for we need his assistance to figure out how to save the young nurse that was brought in to ‘care’ for the elder Bancroft by his grandson. We also need his help to root out the last of the Death Mark Killers…” Phoenix leaned back in his seat and looked at the oldest of the Holmes brothers. “You don’t want him at his best…you know that if he was fully open to his gifts and abilities, he wouldn’t need to have you look out for him anymore.” Phoenix cocked his head to the other side as he stood and moved over to the eldest. “You’re jealous as well…” He patted his cheek. “It’s cute how you think your brothers need you to hold their hands and keep them safe. They’ve got their mates for that lovey…you sit down…shut up…and let us do our job.” He then went back to the table and sat beside Derek while placing his hand on Derek’s arm to help ground him. “Now…we’ve got some information to share, and we’ve got somethings to talk over…but the most important is does Baldwin Carmichael still work for the department in any way?” He looked over at Lestrade. “And does Philip Anderson still hold a position?”

“Baldwin was killed by a suspect in the act of arresting them five months ago…and Anderson’s down in the labs still…he’s one of the heads of the forensics team.” Sherlock was the one that answered with his head cocked to the side.

“Good I know where the bastard that roofied Siri’s cocktail the night my parents were killed is located…” Phoenix snarled before standing and moving toward the door.

“Freeze right there…you don’t have proof. If you did you’d have stopped there first.” Mycroft called out only to feel the room get a tiny bit hotter around him only.

“I would sit and be silent. You’re not the smartest one in the room. After all you’ve been outsmarted by your younger siblings and then there’s me and my friend Doctor Spencer Reid…you are politically smart, and intelligent…” Phoenix leaned slightly into his space. “You have the ear of the Queen and are useful but personally…I’d rather deal with Sherlock and Addison.” He patted his cheek again in a condescending way before he turned and walked out of the door.

“Aren’t any of you going to stop him?” Mycroft looked at the others, he was shocked to see that Sherlock was gone along with the dark skinned gentlemen that had been in the background of the video call that got all this rolling.

“Why should we?” Aaron Hotchner crossed his arms over his chest before gesturing to the pile of papers on the table that Mycroft hadn’t taken in. “You say we don’t have proof, but you didn’t use your eyes. We’ve all the proof needed that Philip Anderson was paid by the Bancroft Corporation three days before and three days after the accident which killed James and Lily Potter as well as paralyzed Lord Black. We’ve also been able to discover phone records of very similar accounts of the events and we’ve found other times he’s been paid to do the same. After the first payments there is an advocate against the extreme traditionalist views that are found in compromising positions or dead.”

“Philip Anderson is a male submissive and the child of Albert Bancroft Junior’s best friend. His records report him as being a switch with dominate tendencies.” Rossi explained as well looking at the man. “But James and Sirius had found the truth when they were investigating everyone in the department or tied with the department that could possibly be a mole. They hadn’t been able to make the connection between Bancroft and Taggart though so were unable to figure out the connection.”

Mycroft leaned forward and took the information that was on the table, he was being fed plenty of humble pie that day and he didn’t completely appreciate it.

In the lab of the New Scotland Yard Phoenix looked around and stood with his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. He pulled out his phone and raised it to his ear.

“Uncle we need Abs…Perhaps 007 as well to help protect the group,” he said without waiting for anything more after he heard the phone connect. Abby had arrived the day before as soon as they had settled in the townhome. “The lab here is in complete shit…they have a mole as the head of the lab.” He looked straight at Anderson who paled and began to look around, he spotted the two that had come down with the unknown and was only able to figure out who one was. “Oh, and look at that he’s just contaminated even more by pissing his pants at being found out…”

In a countryside home the person who was watching the videos started cursing when he saw Potter show up in the Scotland Yard lab. He looked back at the body of the female nurse and snarled; her heart had given out from fear.

“Uncle what are we going to do?” Robert asked as he stepped in and snarled at the sight of the blasted sub that had humiliated him.

“We’re going to finish what Mor was unable to finish for us. And this time we’re going to do it right. Call in James…his enemy has just joined forces with ours…We’ll not allow them to kill Grandfather’s dream.” Albert Bancroft III snarled as he leaned forward looking at the computer screens. The paper beside them had only four names remaining. “Also send out word to the mistakes…tell them Anderson is compromised and is to be removed from the situation…he’s useless to us.”

“I’ll get on it…” Robert nodded before turning and leaving the computer room. He passed the bedroom where his great-grandfather lay in the bed weakened from the illness. He knew that the old man didn’t have time left, he knew they had to finish things before he passed but he also knew that they’d keep his great work going after his death. It was the least that they could do for him after all he gave them so much. He pulled his cell out of the pocket that he carried it in and dialed a number he would never forget. “Mister White…We’ve got a job for you…”
