Feast
Fucking hell. Harry was a bloody idiot. It was official. He closed his eyes out of sheer frustration and took a deep breath.
His small stash of food would run out soon, and his dehydration was starting to reach a stupidly low level.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had a drink of water. He wouldn’t find it here.
Taking another deep breath, Harry prepared himself to leave the safety of his roof. He slung his rucksack around his shoulder, and wrapped his cloak around himself the best he could. Carefully, he crept down the fire escape, cautious of his ribs and all-too-aware of the burning protests of his back.
It took Harry ten minutes to levitate the ladder up and the pin back in place.
He had no muggle money. He had no idea where the hell he was. Or where the fuck to go to get some bloody water.
Harry darted in between people, struggling to avoid touching anyone without being seen. Eventually, he gave up, and stuffed down the guilt as the people around him became hopelessly confused.
He was wandering, weaving through the streets with no destination in mind. Soon, however, something caught his eye.
A white truck with large white letters that spelled out Feast.
Well, two guesses what could be inside that truck. Harry picked up his pace, bumping into muggles who walked into the seemingly empty space he was in. He followed the truck as it slowly made its way to a worn out building with the matching logo on the door. He watched as they unloaded food, water, and a few other necessities, which seemed pretty on point with their brand name.
Granted, he didn't want to steal, but really, what choice did he have?
Reluctantly, Harry crept up to the white truck and waited until the delivery man went inside, and grabbed five water bottles and four small white packages that were labelled ‘microwave mac-n-cheese’, stuffing them into his rucksack.
Harry took his treasure and walked away, still invisible to the world.
It wasn't until he got back to his rooftop that he realised what he was doing.
He was homeless.
He had nowhere to go. No one to turn to.
He had no money.
He stole food.
He stole water.
The sun was going down.
What the fuck was he supposed to do now?
