Taking a break cause of bs
Yes as stated in the title, I will be taking a break for this month of September. I am very annoyed about another comment in the author's note. Yes, the recent one.
This is what they said : Good job writing a story because not everyone has the courage to do it.
I'll be stopping here. For me the level of immaturity from Bernard doesn't reflect someone of his age who's thinking about a child's well-being in priority. He's making the same decision that Harry would make at 13.

Of course I replied, but at the time I replied while I was on my break from work and mixed in with some anger because I had to deal with customers because of Labor Day and Burning Man, you guys can imagine what happened. I pointed out the things Bernard did and sarcastically said when in the PoA did Harry did all of those things.
I know I shouldn't let my frustrations and anger get the best of me, but it wasn't a really good time at work. So yeah, I will get the blame on that part.
but then they replied back...
They said: I'm talking about the thought process. Voldemort has had his horcrux for over 15 years and he's already discovered were they are. I would think your nephew would be your priority when you know the time of person Dumbledore is.

Did you not read the whole POV chapters of Dumbledore, Bernard, Sirius, and Tim? Like really did you? Is handling legal matters not important because those legal matters does involve Harry. Dumbledore at the time of the story still has magical guardianship over Harry. Also Dumbledore thinks Harry is still in the god damn UK! He thinks Harry isn't dumb enough to go to Gotham, but the thing is that Harry is in Gotham! How is that not hard to understand? Dumbledore thinks he knows Harry enough, which it's not the case. Also Dumbledore is doubts Bernard a lot, which shows in the chapters of Dumbledore's POV. He literally called Bernard "a filthy half-blood" when Dumbledore himself is a half-blood!
Everything in the chapters Bernard did did involved Harry. Yes, there is the chapter where Bernard was getting the fake locket for Kreacher, but Bernard was doing that out of kindness.
Also, do you wanna know what's the worst case scenario if Bernard didn't handle the legal stuff first?
Dumbledore would turn in Sirius and get Bernard banned from the UK without an MACUSA official.
What about the Queen's involvement?
Dumbledore would obviously pull some strings to make sure the Queen doesn't come to the British wizarding world. He would probably make some fake news about it so she wouldn't be suspicious.
Is this what you wanted?
Harry is Bernard's priority!
It's just that Harry has many strings that Bernard has to deal with before he fully gets to Harry in person and anyone with a brain can see that!
You know like how in all of every HP book that there is something Harry has to go through an obstacle before he solves something? Bernard is literally doing that. There's an obstacle that Bernard has to deal with before he could meet Harry.
Also anyone can tell that Bernard's mind is all over the place because he has to deal with so many things going on - Harry, Sirius, legal stuff, Dumbledore, prophecy, horcruxes, his job, more wizarding bullshit, and now being kidnapped! He's obviously multitasking everything at once. He's making sure that EVERYTHING is going into place to bring down the people who wronged him and his family. Can you tell me, how all of this isn't that important?
Btw, about Harry's safety, he literally has Sirius, Damian, and now Tim! Are you saying they're not capable enough to protect Harry in case if Death Eaters or Dumbledore does figure out he's on Gotham? As stated in the previous chapter, Sirius literally said if the Death Eaters had the balls to go to Gotham to get Harry. Tim and Sirius are literally preparing for an attack in case if it does happen. Also there are three wizards in Gotham - Alfred, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow! Why, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow?
Wizards protect each other. They will help than helping no-majs/muggles unless it involves their lives or their kind being threatened by Voldemort. They may have a bad reputation in Gotham, but they do have a good reputation in the American wizarding world.
Bernard knows Harry has Sirius, Damian, and Tim. Harry is safe and Bernard knows this. Having that knowledge gives Bernard a breather because he knows that Gotham is the last place any wizard would try to look for Harry. Even Dumbledore didn't want to go there!
So what more do you want from Bernard? Just drop everything and go to Harry? Bernard is literally trying to make sure he doesn't cause an international lawsuit. Also he could get fired from being a curse-breaker for abandoning his job that he was originally assigned to do. He works in MACUSA! Do you think they'll be please if Bernard just dropped everything? Bernard is using his connections to help Harry.
Also before ANYONE says he abandoned his job, he didn't. The goblins only told him to go to the UK and solve this curse. He could do whatever he wants at the UK as long as he gets his job done and report back to the goblins. There is no time limit unless the goblins said so.
Hell, he doesn't even know Harry is a horcrux and how Snape was the one who told Voldemort about the prophecy.
So let me ask you! How is this immature of Bernard for trying to make sure everything is done in a legal manner?
Look at custody, divorce, and criminal cases! They're done legally! Are you saying that if a parent wants custody of a child, they should ignore the legal proceedings and kidnap their own child and hide from the police because the custody battle wasn't finalized and they wouldn't get in trouble because they're the parent?
Btw, does that make me immature too? Since I'm the one writing Bernard and everything? If that's the case, then you are aware that sometimes adults can act immature, right? Or are you a different adult that's always serious 24/7 and never have fun.
I'm tired. I'm goddam tired from these comments. The other comment for the 2nd author's note, the person deleted it. So hopefully, you have the balls to keep your comment on there. If not, then I wouldn't be surprised. Actually, I would expected that to happen, since the other comments did the same.
Also to the other comment from some chapters ago. I'm not changing the ship. I don't care if it's "your opinion" of how you prefer Damian x Raven and Harry x Hermione. You had the power of a damn button to stop and think if this was the right thing to say, but you didn't.
When I see joking comments like Damian x Harry x Raven. I understand that it's a joke! It's a funny joke. A youtube review of my fic did that joke and I laugh! It got me laughing!
But to comment twice on two chapters about how I should change the ship. Really? Get a life. Commenting about it that much isn't going to change my mind. I'm not going to change a gay crack ship to a straight ship. When I have a tag that said "Tags may change" it just means about the plot and what direction it took than I had originally planned. Not the ship. Sorry to disappoint you.

I actually feel bad about it, but I'm just getting annoyed. I really want my head to rest and calm down a bit.
I will take a month off and focus on my other fics. Don't worry, I will still be writing the next and future chapters of Never Return.
Just to be clear, I'm not abandoning this story. All of your support kept me going to keep writing it. Also, I like this story too much, anyway.
